For those of you not on the West Bound Repo cruise next May, here is some info about us

Laura, age 44 ATOC, employed as an ARBSBC (anal retentive blood sucking bean counter) for a public utility, but it is ok, because I have a sense of humor. Mother of a 14 year old daughter who became best friends with Courtney during the early days of pin trading (like 5 or 6 years ago) at Disneyland and insisted that they hang out together dang near every weekend. Which lead to the meeting with Jeannine, Courtney's mom. Turns out Jeannine and I got along like gangbusters, the same as our daughters. Which has led to lots of fun vacations and monthly get togethers. I live in Highland, CA, which is part of the Inland Empire, and Jeannine live is Buena Park (walking distance to Knott's Berry Farm). Jeannine will be 39 ATOC, and works as a HR Specialist. She has a cat, I have 3 chihuahuas. She is the red head and I am the blonde. She likes bahama mamas and I prefer martinis.
We both have too many shoes <duh we are girls> and are SOOOOOOOO looking forward to an adults only vacation without the girls. This will be our third Disney cruise and we are going on this one because we canceled our Alaska for a multitude of reasons and this sounded like a total blast.

How was that???:laundy:

:cheer2: welcome all new cruisers, we're happy to have you!!!!:cheer2: :cheer2:

Georgie, I will be posting from the boat for CACruisin (IF she isn't on the boat) so you can lurk as long as you want to!

I love the webcam on the boat! That is soooo cooool! We will be on that boat no matter where it is going!!

Did all my confirmations for this weekend's excursion booking just in case! I just talked to DCL as I was getting very concerned about the upgrade options. She said the boat was still "very open!"

Laura,

I am so glad you have decided to join us!!

We will have to have a mini meet for all of us from the 2008 Panama Canal Cruise. Does anyone one know how many of us are doing both the May med repo and the 2008 Panama Canal?

:wave:I had arthroscopy on my left knee yesterday just so I could hike and go on all hte excursions! (not really, the knee waas just a mess!)

I sure hope I am all healed up and ready to party! I couldn't even dance, I hope I can now! :dance3:

BTW, BUNKO is a dice game played by 12 people (or multiples of 4). It's a very silly game, you move from place to place depending on whether you win or lose the hand! Also, you can win win win money! Eveybody kicks in $5 to start, the the most wins wins, the most Bunko's wins, the most losses wins, the person holding the Bunko baby at the end of the game wins, and usually there are some ****y prizes as well......Also it helps to drink the DOD while playing, or have lots of buckets of beer!

Also I have Disney Skip bo cards, we can have some games of that!

Thank you...I have never heard of this game - I do know most of the "drinking" games - but not this one!

Good luck with the knee surgery healing up!! I figure I will just take a lot of Advil (also have bad knees...will deal - I will NEVER give up the sights just for a little knee pain!!)

This trip is really sounding more and more fun...I have to go to Home Depot this week - gotta start cutting mickey's out :rotfl:

Is formal night the same as Captain's night? Last year we had 1 Captain's night and 1 formal night so we wore formals(not real formal, but long and dressy). This year is 1 formal and 2 semis - what will you ladies wear on the semi formal nights? We tend to have long outfits but not short dressy outfits. I guess what I am asking is do I need a shopping day to get the right attire? Thanks!

Do we have a head count? Adults/kids?

Welcome Aboard Mary, will be good to see ya, Didn't we meet karen at OKW sometime at one of teh DIS meets.

Don't forget kids the Wine and Cheese Pre Cruise Party at OKW. Please PM Lynn and I so we can get a rough count, might get a two bedroom if the numbers are there and there is one available.

Good Morning - yes Scott I think you have met Karen at one of the Danny's meets at OKW. Looking forward to seeing everyone and meeting new people!

Gydell, it depends on whether you want an excuse to go shopping! I have 2 semi-formal, mid-calf length dresses that I will be wearing for both formal and semi formal nights. Scott will probably wear his tux for both formal and semi-formal nights (since he is dragging it all that way, needs to wear it more than once!). You will be able to get away with anything dressy for semi-formal, even for formal for that matter, so it comes down to do you want to go shopping?
