Still trying to make up our minds about the excursions: (All subject to change :rotfl: )

Tenerife: Either: Tenerife, Teide & Garden of the Valley OR Mercedes Forest and Tagannana

Cadiz: The horses :)

Gibraltar: City under Seige

Barcelona: Have no idea there are tooo many choices!

I may PM Bonitatime about the one in Tenerife and ask her opinion :)

I think it will be easy to get the excursions, but Palo maybe a challenge.

Deb

Size is always an issue with t-shirts. You just never really know how it will fit. I always end up getting them bigger then normal so they will fit after a washing or two.

My wife Shari (spros) is in Orlando for The Goofy. She is walking with several other Med Repo cruisers.

Ken

The orders we have placed for t shirts with this Company!

Are pretty Good!! They seem to hold the size after a wash or 2
with that bigger feeling!

Just to let you know, I have the last repo shirt and still wear it to this day! :)

You know, I have this wholesome image of Scott, so I'm not so sure I want to break that image by seeing him in a thong!:scared1:

Last Cruise, only one thong sold! and we know who the woman is, that purchased it! LOL

Good Morning Everyone

Alex and Carolyn (first timers) just finished the half marathon in 3 hours 11 minutes. Shari finished a few minutes back at 3 hours 16 minutes.

Tomorrow is the full marathon.

Update: Linda (seaulater) finished in 3 hours 52 minutes and Jamie (Linda's daughter) finished in 3 hours 48 minutes.

Ken

Georgie, Thanks for checking Air India - very curious.

Ken, What is the Goofy? is that the half marathon? How many people go to this marathon, is it for charity, health, etc????? DL had I think the first marathon this Thanksgiving and it was pretty huge, but I'm thinking the one in WDW is probably gigantic.

Also, Ken. We are more than happy to pay the extra .50 and make your charity our first of the year.

Welcome, Hope and your family:banana:

Congrats all the marathoners:cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

Looks like a new show on the Travel channel tonight "Not your average travel guide" - going to Barcelona.

Today was the half marathon - if you finish, you get a Donald medal. Tomorrow is the full marathon - if you finish, you get a Mickey medal. If you are silly enough to do both and finish both, you get a Goofy medal.

Not sure how many people participate, but it's a lot.

DL did a half marathon over Labor Day. Shari has signed up for the 2007 DL half marathon already. I think general registration starts on January 8 for that.

More info about the WDW marathon weekend can be found at:

Congrats to all in the half marathon. Now that the house is almost together, I plan to get back to reading the boards. Scott got called out of town last night, so he won't be back until sometime tonight. I should (hopefully) get my new washer and dryer today, it has been on order for a month, with one delay after another. It is a good thing we have LOTS of clothes, I have not had to find a laundromat, but I have a monsterous pile of laundry in the basement. When I finally get this washer and dryer, I will be busy for a week just doing laundry. We are really enjoying Cheyenne, and I am REALLY enjoying retirement. The dogs love that I am home all day, and that they get 2 to 3 walks a day.

We are looking into doing the half marathon in Disneyland in Sept, and we are looking forward to seeing all of you who will be there then.

Lynn:eeyore:

Hi Lynn! Great to see you online again.

I'm glad your digging out after the move.

Ken

Ken -I just got home from the Half-Marathon:cool1: - my toes are full of blisters and I have them soaking in epson salts and hot water as I read the dis board. My hat is off to your wife and all the others that are going out there tomorrow and do twice as far as today.39+ miles in two days is a lot of running.Today is enough for me - my age is really showing. It is a great race and I met so many friendly people. The weather was really warm till we ran thru the Magic Kingdom and then we hit a cool breeze. The staggered starts this year helped a 100%. I would love to do the Disneyland Half next Sept. They sure were pushing it at the Expo yesterday. Just got an E-mail that my shirt, hat, and magnets have been shipped - can't wait to see them.

Ok, I've spent 2+ hours working on putting all the excursions into a word file to read about them - I'm exhausted :surfweb:

My number one question... do we assume that there are bathrooms on the motorcoaches/buses. I'm concerned about long outings with a 4 year old?

Deb

Do you really think Palo will be a challenge? With so many nights aboard the ship? Is Palo not open the entire duration of the cruise? In the past we've made our Palo reservation online before setting sail but we figured since Disney is so slow thus far announcing when the theme nights are (and what they are) and when the formal nights are....we thought we'd just make Palo reservations aboard the ship because we figured on a boat that isn't sold out and that's sailing for 14 days...there shoudl be at least ONE night we'd find a seat. Do you think advance reservations will be important after all? And if so when oh WHEN will we find out when the special dining nights are so we can eat at Palo without missing anything fun?!

Oy the stress of it all!!! :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Good Job on finishing today!!! I can put a lot of miles on a bike, but I can't walk very far before my ankle gives out, so my hats off to you.

Shari didn't say anything about blisters, but I'm sure she will be a little sore this afternoon. She is not use to the warm temps, so she was getting warm near the end. Tomorrow will be a challenge for her.

Erik - based upon our experiences on the May 2005 repo and the 11 night Wonder cruise, we may get some basic idea about the theme nights but chances are they will change right up to the last minute. We thought we had all figured out for the repo, and then had to change some plans because they rearranged the nights at the last minute.

Don't stress over it. :)

Dinner may be easiest... but not doing dinner. Brunch and Tea are usually not held on all days, and they have less openings.

We did think we had it all figured out on the Repo cruise... and actually Disney did too... until someone misprinted the navigator and the second formal night became semi-formal.

Nanguide! Good for you! I know I could not have done it!

Debbie

Anyone see on the cruise board where a permit for DCL was gotten for the LA port? Wondering if its true........I missed the PC cruise and would love to be able to do it.

I checked the Port of Los Angeles website myself. The Board Agenda listed the action item to grant the permit. The actual minutes are not posted yet, so I didn't find the outcome. Although another post talked about the item being pulled for additional contract talks. I didn't see that information.

There is one sentence that says the cruiseline will be making 7 day cruises to Mexico.

Interesting stuff.
