All of you from California--your wind has made it all the way across the country now:scared: Large tree branches are blowing down all over (and the rain is pouring down--which has melted the snow which fell all day yesterday). I sure am glad we live up high away from the flooding.

It looks like Canasta may be a go (if we only get organized once on board)

Dessert:
Me--well chocolate soufle:cloud9: at Palos of course. In the main dining rooms I like the Chocolate Decadence

David--chocoate soufle at Palos and Tiaramsu:love: (he's working but I do not have to ask--talks about it all the time)

Rio--ice cream on deck (I swear it is like a Rio magnet) and in the dining rooms he loves a the various kinds of creme brulee and cheesecake

Marika--Not a huge dessert eater. She's thinking she likes the different kinds of ice cream sundaes in the dining rooms.

HALL MONITORS!

Now, you are asking, what the heck. Are we back in grade school or what?

Well.............what we have done in the past is have a stateroom volunteer from each deck to be the 'HALL MONITOR':cool1:

What that means, is that posted outside your door will be the latest and greatest list of people who changed their stateroom number after the mini navigator is printed. That way everyone knows where they have moved to. The list outside the door is also helpful to list any updates to any changes in our "disboard mini navigator" once we are on board.

So, I am looking for one stateroom to volunteer from each deck to take on this task. I list you in the mini-navigator as being the Hall Monitor for that deck and then our other disboard members can walk by and read your list in case they are wanting to find someone or see if there are any changes to the schedule.

Post on the thread if you are willing to do with your stateroom number so others will see which decks are filled and which need filled. I will update as we have members sign up:

Deck 1:
Deck 2:
Deck 5:
Deck 6:
Deck 7:
Deck 8:

Thanks!

Is this separate from the message boards? Because Jason and I are definitely willing to be the message board....and if this is separate and there are no other deck 8 volunteers we coudl probably do this, too.

We are ahead of you on this one! LOL

SSnyder has taken on organizing this. So she can help ya out!

I have been trying to keep track of the birthdays and special events and someone (I forget who) was helping. That will be sent when I send along the spreadsheet!

See we are looking out for your busy schedule! :surfweb: :thumbsup2 :rotfl2:

Debbie

Deb,

You might want to shoot a private message to Chris Meyers (our newly joined cruiser with his partner, Mike).....or if you see this Chris.....SEND A NOTE TO DEBBIE (EpkotKilterFan).....because I think I remember from an email I saw from him a off the boards a while back that he has several celebrations aboard including an anniversary and birthday(s).

Bob, Sorry you guys wont make it the pre meet, but we will see at the port, I miss you guys…

Yes Diver Dan did dive the Sargasso Sea, Sea Hunt and Diver Dan were big influences on my start in Diving. I wish they would put the Sea Hunt Series on DVD. That would be KEWL. Lynn and I were fortunate enough to met Zale Perry, who did all the female diving parts in Sea Hunt. Really a nice lady. I know all this stuff really dates me but I am growing older but not up.

Barb it was a great weekend, I should have got the bikes running, but the finishing of the basement called. Do keep us informed about the Terry Ranch.

Greg, a fitness tip is to only use the stairs, I really think that helps. I also make my own low calorie drinks. Take Crystal Lite Orange Sunrise mix with the Orange Strawberry Banna, then add your rum. Fill Bubba Keg and enjoy…. Lynn likes to add Pina Colada Mix, she has hers Sans Rum.

I knew the “unbrulee” would be mentioned, Bob beat me to it, I have pictures…. Man that was bad….

My Vote is for Debbie to be the Fish Extender Queen….

Linda tell Jamie HAPPY BIRTHDAY…..

I will also let Lynn respond to the Scrap booking Class LOL!!!! I am sure she will be interested.

I better get to work, Later Kids,

You all in the NE stay dry if ya can….

Michelle--Whenever the mid-afternoon munchies hit, check out the bars. We have found nachos, chocolate dipped strawberries, corn muffins, quesadillas, etc. Lots of goodies you don't see other places. It seems like on every cruise I find a new place that they leave food for us:rotfl:

….

Sea Hunt was one of my favorites also. I always played "Mike Nelson" (wasn't that his name in the show) in the pool next door.

count me in for deck 2 - room 2545....

my hubby has decided we will stay in this room (unless DCL voluntarily moves us) so that all our stuff can find us!!!!!!:hippie:

Also cheese stuffed jalapeno peppers! MMMMMMM Oh and chicken wings

not that i am being greedy or anything....but i have the feeling this cruise will not drop in price anymore.....:surfweb:

:offtopic: This is totally off topic, but as we are stuck inside waiting out the Nor'Easter (and want to hold off on packing until the power goes out and we loose eletronic entertainments) I am itching to post. If any of you have turned on any natioanl news today you have seen what this nor'easter is like. I can't belive they are running the Boston Marathon in this. And, only about 10% of people no showed, which is average. I know the marathon is a huge deal, but I cannot fathom running in this.:scared1:

they must be some dedicated runners...think i will burn more calories watching them in that weather this year? :rotfl2:

Oh Sarah, I have missed the jalapeno poppers. I will have to hunt them out. Yummy!

They were only in there twice on the 11 night cruise but definately worth it! They were also on the night time buffett the one night. I know can't stop thinking about jalepenos! mmmm popcorn::

OK so UK news didn't mention the marathon (there's a surprise) but did show the storms and bad weather that whole coast was having! Hope everyone's OK. Those people must be very very dedicated!

Susie - I would love to play Mah Jong! I haven't played in about 18 years - no one in Colorado knows the game. We lived overseas many years ago and I use to play all the time. My set is not portable so I can't bring it, but I could check to see what "books of hands" I have - of course they will be old ones. Aimee, my daughter, will be with me and once the kids are off to their activities, I'm sure she would join in a game also. We'll both need a refresher but we are game.

Hey Barb--My in laws (Hank and Jan) who will be cruising also live just down the road from you in Boulder:) David grew up in Boulder and I lived in both Boulder and Nederland as a child. I noticed your location when you started posting last week and just wanted to say "welcome" and enjoy knowing someone from our "hometown" will be along.

i just booked CATS for sat may 4...they just added it to our shedule and we got fairly good seats....i think it will be fun!

Bob,
Reference cameras, we have an Olympus SP-500 UZ that we bought for our African safari, it is 6 megapixels, has a 10X optical zoom and an additional 3X digital zoom. It has a good sized viewing screen. It is not a SLR, can be used in strickly automatic mode, or various stages of manual settings. Olympus uses AA batteries (we usually just use the lithium, they last longer, but we also have rechargable ones) and xD picture cards. We really like this camera for our purposes.

Juergen,
You are welcome to the wine and cheese party, we will be at Old Key West, and will post the room number after we arrive and check in. If you do not have a way of checking the boards, send us a pm and we will let you know our last names and we will leave the room number on our message on the phone, so you can call OKW and ask for our room.

I also want to wish Jamie a Happy Birthday:bday:

Linda, I sent you a pm about the Scrapbooking Class.

Lynn:eeyore:
