And did anyone ever notice that they used dark chocolate to secure the slipper... and what does it look like.....

I told my server and the next time I saw the slippers... they used white chocolate :)

Kelly--I keep realizing when away from the computer that I forgot to respond to you! Sorry 'bout that. It's nice to know that someone can actually place where we are from. David is like Jonathan--keeps tabs on the board through me. I think the only time he has ever actaully looked at it is when we sat down as a family and looked at everyone's photos. I suspect many couple are like this (Scott and Lynn spring to mind as a great exception--also Bob and Lee).

Michelle--Having only played Canasta once I like the idea that you are not excellent players. Unless you are Canasta sharks and just pulling the wool over my eyes:laughing: About Nachos, I honestly can't remmebr if they were on a kid's menu as an app or if Rio just mentioned wanting some and they "magically" appeared. One way or the other he had them about half the nights on our last cruise (pears the other half). I have found nachos in the bars on the late afternoon sometimes.

Oh no, I guarantee we are not that good. We only play when my DH's parents are in town, and that isn't much.... we have fun trying though. LOL
Yay for nachos!! My DH mentioned maybe the bars would have them (we don't drink, so I never knew to try there!). I knew I had seen pictures of them and heard them mentioned. I can't wait to get them this trip!

Oh another appetizer I liked was the golden pasta envelopes on pirate night. YUUUMMMM! I also will need to do something to help keep the food off. Both of my other cruises I was always meaning to try the gym....never had the time. This time, I will be seeking after it too. I agree, gotta make the body pay for all that great food, desserts....and ICE CREAM!! :hyper: :hyper:

And did anyone ever notice that they used dark chocolate to secure the slipper... and what does it look like.....
Debbie

That is funny! :rotfl:

OOOH My favorite....dessert!
For me, it is the Boston Creme Pie....absolutely love it. I also loved those chocolate dome things with raspberry. I love most of the desserts though, and usually ordered 2 every night. Could never make up my mind.....:woohoo:

Hello everyone,,It is cold, windy, and raining here in virginia, :surfweb:
Perfect weather for spending two days inside making my fish extender. I had a blast once I figured out what I was doing. :magnify: I am not a natural when it come to sewing, but love to do it, I think I will try to make one or two more if anyone would like one. I will post a photo of the one I just finished tomorrow. Huge thanks to everyone that sent me direction and photos. :disrocks: :disrocks:
Since this is becoming a popular item maybe we need a thread dedicated to fish extenders. Photo included of course. How fun to see what people are doing. I especally like to see them hung on the fish.;)

regarding food, once I figured out the all I could eat ice cream bar, I only had eyes for it. Although, I do recall this yummy chocolate with a hot chocolate in side. that was woth the calories:dance3:

Okay, caught up on all the posts.

What a crazy week. Finally got my computer back after being gone from my desk for almost two weeks at work! Didn't they know how inconvenient that was? :confused3

Up at 5 a.m. everyday last week after returning from WDW. DD Jamie (15 tomorrow) had to go to Drill team pre-auditions all week and be at school at 5:30 a.m. Drove her every day. Then Friday after school they had auditions at the high school, so had to get her over there. Well......she was one of the only two who will be sophmores who were selected to be on the team after all the auditions! She is very excited (put me down for another $1,000 at least).

Then I was at the Scrapbook USA expo all day Friday and Saturday, so I was running between there and getting Jamie and then taking her to the University of Utah for dance competition. Ran from drill team announcements to the U of U and got her to her solo dance competition with about 10 minutes to spare before she danced. She had to dress in the car from the one place to the other!

Then back to scrapbook expo until Midnight Friday night. And then back on Saturday all day taking classes and buying lots of scrapbook stuff! The good news is..........................

THE OFFICIAL DISBOARD SCRAPBOOK CLASS ON TAKING THE MAGIC TO THE MED!

I've had many PM me asking, and I have been putting it off, but promising I would do, so here is the info.

I usually teach a class (all skill levels invited) on the cruises I go on.
I bring all the supplies, and we put whatever I have come up with together during the class. It is held on a sea day. I haven't decided which day or time yet. Here's the deal:

What: Official Scrapbook Class

When: Sea Day about the Disney Magic

Where: either Promenade Lounge, Animator's Palatte or other location I can talk the ship in to letting me use.

What are we doing?: I am so excited. I have been able to score some 8 x 8 scrapbooks this time for a steal of a price. You can choose either a red cover or lime green. We will be doing approximately 14 pages and it will take about 1 1/2 hours - 2 hours to complete. It will be EASY! Don't let the project scare you away. If you have wanted to learn to scrapbook, this is the class for you.

Cost: $8.00 donation (In the past, I haven't charged for the class. But if you can help defray the costs of the scrapbook and the supplies, that would be great.)

How do I sign up? PM me with your info. Disboard name, stateroom number and your first name so I know who is coming. Also, tell me if you prefer the bright red scrapbook or the lime green.

Deadline: How about May 1st? I will need to ship all the stuff to the ship so I don't have to haul it all across the country.

Any questions, ask away!

Linda

MINI NAVIGATOR UPDATE!

Yes, it's true. I am doing the mini navigator also.

If you have planned any activities during the cruise, please PM me. I have already gotten all those listed on Ken's post on page 143.

Also, if you or someone in your stateroom is celebrating a birthday, anniversary, or other occasion, I need that info also.

DEADLINE: MAY 1ST

Need a little tiime to finish typing, printing, folding and stapling.

Each stateroom will receive a mini-navigator at Scott and Lynn's Wine and Cheese Party, or at the DCL terminal Saturday morning. If you miss me at either one of these they will "magically" appear as your first piece of "Fish Mail" when you go to your stateroom.

Which brings me to another subject.......................

HALL MONITORS!

Now, you are asking, what the heck. Are we back in grade school or what?

Well.............what we have done in the past is have a stateroom volunteer from each deck to be the 'HALL MONITOR':cool1:

What that means, is that posted outside your door will be the latest and greatest list of people who changed their stateroom number after the mini navigator is printed. That way everyone knows where they have moved to. The list outside the door is also helpful to list any updates to any changes in our "disboard mini navigator" once we are on board.

So, I am looking for one stateroom to volunteer from each deck to take on this task. I list you in the mini-navigator as being the Hall Monitor for that deck and then our other disboard members can walk by and read your list in case they are wanting to find someone or see if there are any changes to the schedule.

Post on the thread if you are willing to do with your stateroom number so others will see which decks are filled and which need filled. I will update as we have members sign up:

Thanks!

Palo Chocolate Souffle is mine also!

Okay, now I am going to get the last load of laundry and head to bed. (after I put my clean sheets on!)

I love getting in a clean bed!:cloud9:

We had a great discussion about what everyones favorite appetizer are at dinner. Here is everyone answers:
Mike (DH)- Palo pizza
Ali - Everything
JC - Mickey's Chicken noodle soup
Chris - Banana Bread
Katie- none
Me - I can't decide on a favorite!

I will have to guess at everyones desserts. (They are all in bed now)

Mike - Cream Brulee cheese cake (from Parrot key)
Ali - palo chocolate souffle
JC - Chocolate cake
Chris - The plate of "nothing"
Katie - Mickey bar
Me - Palo chocolate souffle and cheese cake

I can't wait to see what everyone else says.

:wave2: With our cruise being only 4 weeks away, we need to finalize the children's gift list. This way all the wonderful volunteers, can have a chance to get their 'items' ready.

Sunday will be the last day, that you can get your child added to the 'Children's Gift List'. Everyone that is on Debbie's Cruise list has at this moment has already been added! I am looking for anyone that is not on this list. If you would like to add your child, please send me a pm with: your name, child's name, age, & stateroom #.

So if anyone is still lurking:surfweb: ... please come join us!! :thumbsup2

I want to say a special thanks, to everyone who signed up to purchase & deliver gifts!!!!

We are officially closing the Children Gift List tonight!

If anyone is still :surfweb: lurking... please come join us.

I used to be wicked at canasta. We used to play three handed canasta. It's been many many years though. As I said earlier, I love games and am ready to play them all.
I used to play 3 and 4 handed Canasta all the time - 2 handed as well - but that is a lot harder. I haven't played in years, but will have a double deck...am up for the challenge!!!

My DH and I love playing Canasta. We are not good, though, but we love to play.
I haven't played in years...I am probably in the same boat.

I have been trying to keep track of the birthdays and special events and someone (I forget who) was helping. That will be sent when I send along the spreadsheet!

See we are looking out for your busy schedule! :surfweb: :thumbsup2 :rotfl2:

Do you think that as May 1st approaches we might get a more specific time and date (or am I missing it??)? Jason and I would probably be interested in doing something like this except we have spa reservations some days, etc. on some of the sea days so we need to make sure it doesn't conflict.
