We get in on the evening of the 10th. I don't think I will have a computer with me and will call someone (Debbie) to post the room. We will also have a msg on the room answering maching. If need be I will PM our last name so you can make the call to OKW.

Scott - I will be at OKW at the same time - I arrive at 3pm and will have a rental car. I could "loan" you the use of my laptop if you want - PM me - I will give you my cell number if you like.

I am at OKW too :) (And it is ALL Scott's fault:rotfl: )

My flight lands around 10:30 am. And it is looking like the first Off Kilter show may be at 2:30 pm. They have been moving it around lately.

My worry is that they have off this Thursday for rehersal day. I just hope that May 10 is not their rehersal day again! I will NOT be happy!

Who else is staying at OKW??

Debbie

Off topic proud mama moment: Spent the day at a swim meet with DD12 and DD11. They both did really well in spite of the really not nice weather - cold wind, off and on rain - yuck! This was DD12's last meet before she ages up (13 and older). She got her first "A" time (nailed it actually, and was less than 1 second off a 13 & Up "B" time ) and took first place in her division for 100yd Freestyle :thumbsup2 . DD11 has only been competing for a few months and this was her first long course (50 meter pool) meet. She made it through the entire meet without dissolving into a bundle of tears and nerves for the first time

For the first time in 10 days (since I rebooked), I am too tired to do cruise stuff :upsidedow Aside from getting up at O' dark thirty this morning, swim meets are emotionally draining for me. Need to go wash a bunch of towels and take a nap....

:Pinkbounc:bounce::rainbow: :Pinkbounc :bounce:
My hubbie and I are looking forward to the cold soups they serve on the Disney ships. We have only been on the Wonder. We love the cold Strawberry soup, the cold Melon soup, and the honeydew soup!

What's eveybody else's favorite Appetiser....ONLY appetisers right now!

Come on.....tell us what you like to start with!

I'm with you on the cold soups:cloud9: . I like the appetizers better than entrees' sometimes. DH and I were on the Wonder last month and one night I had the cold soup, the gazpacho, and the asparagus risotto that was the side for salmon entree (served without the salmon of course. I don't do fish:scared: ) as my dinner:rotfl2: .

I don't think I will have a computer with me

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: DH doesn't go ANYWHERE without his laptop. Even if he is not connected to the internet he uses it to upload pictures, etc. But since he isn't going on this trip, I have to do that stuff now?!? :badpc: I have a list of "How do I ...." for him to teach me before we go :badpc:

Hi Debbie, are you going to OKW THIS Thursday? April 19? or do you mean the Thursday before we leave on the cruise?

Funny--we were actually talking about this today as it fit our meals for the day. We are having a "tapas day" which at our house means no real meal, and lots of appetizer type thingies spread throughout the day. David was dreaming of Lobster Bisque and Escargot. Marika was pining for shrimp cocktail and Lobster Bisque, Rio (he of the simple tastes) was missing the nachos and I am with you on the strawberry soup, and also the grilled pineapple served with a coconut rolled banana on pirate: night.

Upgrades--thanks to all of you for the information. There was one poster who got two cat 9s and did not have excurions, so that looks to be not panning out either (glad of that actually). But, I am still dying to figure this out. I'm sure this is the biggest pool of upgraded passengers I'll ever have to work with as a data base. So, if anyone sees any patterns, please ask;) (okay, I know the CMs tend to say it is random--maybe it is, but that seems so undisneylike and we all know how well informed the CMs are--"no one else lost their excursions," etc.). And yes, I know I am such a nerd:rolleyes1

Erik and Kathy--I'm so glad to see you both back on the boards:grouphug: Kathy, I hope you feel better and get fairly mobile soon. It's a good thing you have so many sea days to relax and mend:goodvibes Erik, we spent the afternoon noshing and playing Euchre--were wishing you were here to play a few hands:goodvibes

Games--I wouldn't have noticed earlier if anyone mentioned Canasta. David and I learned this at a friend's house last night. We had so much fun:cool1: If anyone plays Canasta and is looknig for a couple to play with (and is willnig to help us remeber the point values) please look us up on board.

No.. not THIS Thursday... but it would be nice :) Well, not really because they are off this Thursday.

I check this site weekly: WDW Live entertainment

It would just be my luck that they are off on May 10.

Wow. Good for your girls. Please tell them congratulations for us.:thumbsup2

Erik, we will take ya up on the posting of the Wine and Cheese Meet location. Will pm the closer we get. Thank you very much.

Beautiful day here sunny and in the 70’s

Debbie, we can post it with several folks. Also what we can do is link our OKW reservations or make a request to be close, Did that with Peter and Jenn , Tracy and Bill for the 11 day and it worked great. We will arrive at OKW at about 6:00 PM.

Thanks Peter and Thanks Padalyn, I will lean on all of ya.

Ca Crusin, good deal for your little swimmers, good luck learning the computer basics, A list is a good thing, I am sure someone onboard can help.

Normally I would travel with a computer but not on this trip, it actually will be nice to be away from one, or two, or three , or four…..

Hope you all on the East coast are doing ok with the weather.

Steak on the grill, catch ya all later.

My DH and I love playing Canasta. We are not good, though, but we love to play.

Ooooh we get to talk about food!
I love the honey mustard chicken tender thingys the best (I forgot their formal names). I think they are on one of the last nights, and I LOVE them!!!

Rio likes nachos for an appetizer? Where can you get those at? I am a nacho LOVER and would love to have those, but have never seen them.

:cool1: Good Evening All.

Getting pumped for the cruise! :yay:

Was a good day. Only in the 50's, but sunny. Got yard work done.

Scott, we won't be able to make the Wine and Cheese thingie.:sad1:
Don't know what we were thinking when we made the reservations. Since we did the air thru DCL (got a real good bargain), we can't change thru the airline and DCL won't make the change either. Oh Well.

Need some info...
I am thinking about a new camera. Something with a hefty zoom and 6 mega pixels or more. Anyone have a camera that they just absolutely love and could recommend? I've got a couple in mind, but maybe I've missed one or two.

Appetizers? Seemed to me, they were all good. However, nothing stands out right now. When we get to dessert, I have a couple of favorites.:goodvibes

Starting to read and re-read about this cruise.
Noticed that we are going to sail thru the Sargasso Sea.
Interresting history dealing with this sea and the Bermuda Triangle.

Hey Scott, didn't Diver Dan hang out in the Sargasso Sea?

Kelly--I keep realizing when away from the computer that I forgot to respond to you! Sorry 'bout that. It's nice to know that someone can actually place where we are from. David is like Jonathan--keeps tabs on the board through me. I think the only time he has ever actaully looked at it is when we sat down as a family and looked at everyone's photos. I suspect many couple are like this (Scott and Lynn spring to mind as a great exception--also Bob and Lee).

Michelle--Having only played Canasta once I like the idea that you are not excellent players. Unless you are Canasta sharks and just pulling the wool over my eyes:laughing: About Nachos, I honestly can't remmebr if they were on a kid's menu as an app or if Rio just mentioned wanting some and they "magically" appeared. One way or the other he had them about half the nights on our last cruise (pears the other half). I have found nachos in the bars on the late afternoon sometimes.

Wow - two beautiful days for riding the Harleys - what a great weekend. Scott, we didn't make it to Cheyenne either day, but I'll keep you posted on the plans for Terry Ranch.

Someone mentioned friends riding in Tuscany - sounds like great fun. We are going to try to get a group together to do a European River Cruise with "Fly and Ride" trips before and after.

I've been "thinking" about sewing - pirate costumes. Don't want to add a lot to all the rest of the stuff we will bring with us, but we should probably plan on "dressing up" for that party.

Hope everyone had a great weekend. Sorry to hear about the broken ankel - been there, done that - no fun!!!!! Get better soon. Of course you might check with Disney and see if you can get a "wheelchair accessible" cabin - they are bigger and might be a little easier for you to get around.

Hi!! We're back from Myrtle Beach! Lily was great; she did all her famous characters including Edith Ann and Ernestine and Madame Lupy and Judith Beasley and Trudy and even a Q&A at the end of the show!!! Looks good and still funny as ever.:lmao:

Kathy - best wishes for a speedy recovery!!pixiedust:

Welcome back Erik!! It's always good to take some time for yourself now and then. :) We're working on a few personalized door magnets too, we don't have a big wall like you guys do at home so will likely on do a couple.

Still no docs or magnets yet; have to check in with the TA this week. :confused3

Weather here is chilly and windy...Myrtle Beach was beautiful 70s and sunny. We are so ready for spring!! :flower3:

Can't comment on the appetizers, been so long since we've been on a DCL cruise - can't really remember the food all that much!!:guilty:

Have a great week everyone!!:goodvibes

HI all!
After 22 hours across the pacific no surprises in the mail! Monday morning will see me on the phone to the TA! Cool but sunny here in BC but some fresh snow in the mountains - typically the ski hill closed last week!

All the food talk has got the mouth watering already. Also made me remember my first cruise - 11 days and 11 pounds heavier at the end. Never again! So can someone tell me what the gym is like? Do they have fitness activities (aerobics, walk a mile, etc). I know part of the enjoyment of the cruise is the FOOOOOD so better get the brain to realize the body must pay for it!

Erik - any chance we could see a picture of your photo wall? It sounds like a great way to be able to relive the memories!

Rgds,
Greg:)

I used to be wicked at canasta. We used to play three handed canasta. It's been many many years though. As I said earlier, I love games and am ready to play them all.

Speaking of games, no one ever answered whether they would like to learn Mah Jong. My set is really portable so I think I'll bring it.

OK, now we are done with appetisers, on to Dessert!

So what's your most memorable! Or favorite! Or worst!

Give us some answers on DESSERT!

I can tell you Patrick ALWAYS has chocolate pudding with the "white stuff" on top. After the first day, he doesn't even have to order it. They just bring it!
