well my TA called DCL armed with the details about what the gift was...and they denied to her that any such magnets exist or were being sent out.:rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Oh that DCL!!!:headache: :headache: They're sure lucky they throw a super fun cruise or I'd start to get a little irritated about how poorly they communicate and coordinate their information and activities internally!! :rotfl:

"Yes I konw you can't book your excursions online...nobody can. Nobody on the cruise has been able to do so......oh, you have friends who have? Let me put you on hold...." :rolleyes1

"No, you're the ONLY person who has had all their bookings erased by accessing the discounted rates...everyone else has kept their reservations....oh, you have friends who have the same situation? Let me put you on hold...." :rolleyes1

"No, we're not sending any gifts out...there are no magnets for this cruise....oh, you have friends who have gotten them already? Let me put you on hold...." :rolleyes1

:lmao: :rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl2:

Sounds familiar. They charged me 400% over the price my cruise should have been and when my mum first rang they said they would arrange a refund and it would take a few weeks. They couldnt understand why we were not happy with this lol!! Thankfully the money went back on my card yesterday but I have had no form of apology from them and there is a chance that I have had extra bank charges on my card as well so not impressed but hey its sorted at least!

Guess there is no need to sharpen my two man buck saw then... pitty

Our modern life is just .... modern .... not necessarily better ....

There are schools that teach log cabin building, always wanted to try it but Habitat for Humanity is the closest I have come.

When I retire I want to do Habitat work, building is fun, got me through college. I have a basement to finish, and hey this month we are having a barn raising here at the Malamute Ranch. Ok it is a pole barn.

But yes I have helped build a couple of log homes. Log homes are pretty but a maintenance nightmare.

 I can feel the love :grouphug: Thank you for your kind words. Your right, we really do belive that everything happens for a reason and "our" child is coming.

I have a lot of catching up to do. Our new room number is 6083. so If anyone needs a message board in that area, we will gladly offer our services.
IF I buy my husband a "grass skirt" and a One of a Kind Grass skirt frat t-shirts...when will he need to wear it? and how may guys :drinking1 (are women doing this to) ? will be showing up in them. Jeff is a good sport, but would be more comfortable with a croud!:dance3:

Grass Skirts at Sailaway and Tropical night if we have a tropical night. KEWL!!!!

Grass skirts, grass skirts, one more thing to do! Am game for anything so is this on or not? Herd mentallity of the African Zebra takes over here - easier to hide if we have a larger pack. Who's in?:confused3

Srveral of us have been doing this for a while, and it keeps growing. See ya there!!!!

On another note... Talked to Kathy (Littleowensmommy) tonight... as most of you know they are in the final stretch of finding a new home and moving before getting on the b2b. The good news is that they are having some great luck on the house search... the bad news is that we will be cancelling our West Coast Dis Meet on Thursday, April 12th. We are all so swamped getting ready for this big trip that although we wanted to get together to meet making it happen is proving to be difficult. We'll be with you guys in spirit for the East Coast Banner making party and we'll all see each other (a lot) in 4 weeks!

That means we'd better start planning our post cruise west coast meet!

West Coast post meet=== Make it during the DL 1/2 marathon weekend, we will be there...

Elderfam--David will be wearing his grass skirt. I think lots of the guys will, so your DH would have a good group to blend with (just remember to put it in the carry-on so you'll actually have it at the sail away).

We had canceled our cruise because of an upcoming adoption, but unfortunatly the adoption isnt going to happen.:sad1:
We called back today and re-booked ourselves back on this cruise. We had used our DVC points and after the penalty loss of points we didnt have enough points for the same cabin as before. We are now in a Cat 11 on deck 6. Has anyone ever heard of upgrades offered when you use DVC points?

I had been really sad that I wasnt going to meet everyone and now the cruise will be just what we need to lift our spirits.
Is it to late to get back on the roster and the lanyard list?

I'm so sorry about the adoption.

First question: Who is up for poker nights? Or Days?

Second Question: Will anyone object if it is played on deck somewhere? Disney or Passengers? Maybe this is something best done in one of the adult? clubs? Thoughts? I'm thinking a $10 buy in is a good limit.

Oh I am up for this, day or night. Sign me up :) And I imagine that we shoudl be able to get a table going. Hmmm...might just have to pack the poker chips then:rotfl: :rotfl:

Cheers!!

Just thought of this one, and I don't think anybody has posted it yet, but what is the smoking like on the ships? I have asthma and smoke will set my asthma off, cigar smoke is the worst. I need to stop into my doctor to get a refill of my inhalers but I thought I would ask.

I have just gotten use to all the restaurants and lounges here being smoke free but I thought about this last night for some reason.

Cheers!!

When I retire I want to do Habitat work, building is fun, got me through college. I have a basement to finish, and hey this month we are having a barn raising here at the Malamute Ranch. Ok it is a pole barn.

I have been on a a few Habitat builds, they are fun. Planning on looking up the local chapter to see if they have any builds planned for this year. One thing that I want to do is to go on a Habitat building spree where they build about 10 homes in a week all on one street. Now that would be something to see.

I have a basement to finish, jsut got my tools replaced from the move now jsut need the garage to get electricity and then I can start on the list of furniture that the DW wants and some projects that I want to make :)

Cheers!!

Pat

Pat--most of the ship is smoke free (none allowed around the pools, in dining rooms, in theatres, in most lounges, Rockin' Bar D, Studioe Sea, etc.). I am pretty sensitive to smoke and the two palces I have noticed a problem are occasioanlly in one of the night clubs (either Sessions or Diversions--I can't remember which) and also the Cove Cafe. We have actually never once gone in the Cove Cafe just because of the strong smoke smell which is alwasy eminating from it.

I keep trying to decide if I am going to bring my cross stitching or not. All my projects are BIG (the Stoney Creek Disney kits). I would probably have to leave the scroll frame at home, and it's not as enjoyable to try and do it with no hoop/frame. I guess if I take it off the frame for travelling, put it on while we are on the ship... But it seems like every vacation I have taking stitching on, never gets worked on. But I've never been on a trip with a full week at sea before either.

I'm definately taking mine with me! I found I only did it for one day on the 11 night cruise in September but I got loads done. Not taking my frame though it will just have to be OK as it is.

Didn't have to replace any tools from our move, just finding them is the project,LOL, will move most of the tool to the pole barn when it is finished. WIll also haev a SCUBA room in the pole barn for our equip and the truck camper. There always seems to eb a DW project. Lynn being retired , I must admoit that it is handy to have here fill a lot of the gaps, as my new assignment is very demanding with my time.

I know out side of Cove Cafe there can be smoke, somehow I don't recall any inside, I hope this is the case.

  Oh no I forgot cove cafe, I need about a gillion more hours of overtime to pay for Lynn's Foo Foo coffee.  Actually I like good coffee, just don't like is hidden with a bunch of stuff....

I'm doing the transatlantic but staying on the ship for the first med cruise. Is anyone doing lanyards for that cruise? Its going to be a "magical" time!

Are you allowed to play poker on the boat? I read somewhere that they didnt let you or is that only if money is changing hands?

There is the idea of the morning. Will do! It's official west coast meet marathon weekend. I will make sure I keep everyone in touch for this.

Welcome: beach2go. Yes, see page 143 and since you can't PM yet, post your family first names and ages (if you want) and any other info you'd like to tell us about (like where you are from). Room number.

Debbie will put you on the master list and Ken will put you on the badges list and I will put you on the B2B list. Welcome, Kelly

On another note, I got over half of our packing done late last night.
