Cove Cafe has a mug? Why have I never seen this I wonder? :scared1:

Maybe you haven't seen them because if they are like ours all the picture and words have worn off from use and dishwasher. :rotfl2:

okay...really embarrassing thing i did this weekend....

i was checking the prices of our cruise as usual to see if the prices had dropped again...i put in all my info and they had dropped! all catergories too by about $150.00...i immediately called my TA (her office in the middle of the night) and left a long detailed message...i went back about 30min later to check the rate again for the other catergories so i could post them here and boy was i embarrassed!!!! i had clicked 2 adults but i guess it only registered 1 adult, 2 kids..... so i had to call my TA back and explain on her machine again to NOT call DCL because I had an idiot moment!

I think we can all laugh with you on that one! We've all done something like this.... more than once!!!!;) :)

OK Kids, do this…..

Go to Google.com

Click on maps

Click on get directions

Go from Port Canaveral, FL to Barcelona, Spain

Check out line 26……..

Silly us to take DCL.

LOL - That is good, but put in the Canary Islands, apparently you can DRIVE from Cadiz to there ( only 789 miles!!)...again, silly us taking the boat... :headache:

Hey, who's in charge of getting our cars on the boat? Can't we just drive home? Anyone know where the filling stations are? :lmao: :rotfl2:

lol this sounds like something I would do!

<----put a hat, parka, and mittens on this chick and she would be appropriately dressed! Spring? puh. I am convinced I am caught in a time space continuum and it is actually still February, not THE MIDDLE OF APRIL!!! 6 inches expected--horrible road conditions--downed power lines. GRRRRRRRRR.

Off to get impressions for my snaggle tooth 10 year old! Braces applied May2!!!! We are so excited!

Hi,
We're so excited! It's coming fast. Is there a place where the kids can post for meeting up on the ship? My kids are too old for the kids clubs this year and the last few cruises they didn't care for the Stack. They would love to know there are other kids they could meet up with.

 My very excellent hard sided suitcase that will fit both mine and Zoe's stuff, plus all the extra bath items weighs 15 pounds when empty!!! :scared1: :scared1: :scared1:

Am now thinking I may be going to target or Kmart to get some emergency soft sided luggage. After seeing the way DCL piles hundreds of bags in a pile at the elevators that scares me. What is everyone else using? we were so planning on 3 bags total - with one carry on each for the whole 32 days! BUMMER.

The downside to the weight restrictions is that rather than a few big bags, we end up with multiple smaller bags :sad2: Target has some really cheap roller bags That is pretty good. They don't last more than about a year or so with multiple airline use, but at the price, it is ok to replace it when the wheel breaks off or the handle gets tweaked. Besides, then you can change color every couple of years :rotfl2: Currently DD12's is lavender and DD11 is royal blue:) .

I need to go play with the houseguests now. I'm going to be pages and pages behind by the time they leave. :sad2: :rotfl2:

We did it!!! We got our Cat 9 right under the kitchen (and was rated as VERY noisy on the review board) down the hall to 2570. So we are near the conference rooms and the midship elevators! YEAH!! Oh and now we are just 6 doors down from Cupcake!!:dance3:

Check out Samsonite Flyte line, light and hardsided. NOTE**** the large one of this series is over size for most airlines, so go with teh mid size or small. We haev gotten them from overstock and Samsonite outletplaces.

Just thought of this one, and I don't think anybody has posted it yet, but what is the smoking like on the ships? I have asthma and smoke will set my asthma off, cigar smoke is the worst. I need to stop into my doctor to get a refill of my inhalers but I thought I would ask.

DCL used to be non-smoking nirvana. Haven't been since they changed the smoking rules, and as another person with respiratory issues, I share your concern and hope it's OK. Below is the official policy from the DCL site. I have read that there are posting signs allowing smoking by pools on one side only. Have also read that although people are not supposed to smoke cigars, they do so occasionally (saw this a mentioned a few times on the boards, seems to be at the bar at the adult pool).

 Cupcake

Where can I smoke onboard?

Smoking is permitted only in designated areas of the ship. Guests are allowed to smoke on open decks (except near Mickey's Pool) and on the verandah of their stateroom. Inside, smoking is permitted within Sessions in the Beat Street entertainment district on the Disney Magic®, within The Cadillac Lounge in the Route 66 entertainment district on the Disney Wonder®, and at the bar area in Diversions on both ships.

Way to go! But scary for you-- us on one side, my mom on the other! (actually, fun for us and scary for my dh, he will clearly be outnumbered!). There's no smiley putting on lipgloss, but that clearly would be the right one.

How did you find out-- the always popular ask DCL if they can move you and then keep checking your reservation page?! I'm very excited about our stateroom assignment, of course like so many, we will check out the upgrade at the port situation, but I couldn't be happier about our current upgrade and location. So welcome to our neck of the woods!

 C.

Welcome back, but I'm so sorry that the adoption did not work out. Sending you lots of wishes for nothing but happiness in the future.

Don't forget to sign up on the cruise list and check out page 143 of this thread for some general info.

Forget the smoking, your husband will be on estrogen overload!!!:rotfl2: :hippie:

Smoking: It's not secret that I am the smoking Nazi. I make a living telling people about the dangers of smoking. I can smell smoke 5 ships across the ocean and it makes me crazy. One of the most important reason I choose Disney is the lack of smoke. I can avoid small smoking areas, but DCL doesn't tend to attract a large smoking crowd.

This is good news thanks!! Guess I will have to avoid the smokign areas, hate to spend a night or even day in the ships doctors office with my asthma acting up big time. That woudl be a big bill!!!

Cheers!!

Pat
