sorry it took me so long to reply, I was out at the girl scout & PTA meetings

I'm doing ok, as long as I have something in front of me to distract me from worrying. Tonights meetings were good for that. Thanks for asking.

It is so hard as our parents age. I took my dad for some tests last week, and the doctor's office called and tried to explain to him that the cells are pre-cancerous, and should be watched. You may have well been speaking Chinese to him, he told them to call me and explain it so that I could explain it to him. Then he immediately called me to tell me they would be calling, and while I am on with him, they are trying to call me. You also cannot put your 85 year old father on hold and expect him to understand . . .

So when I call back I get the nurse's voicemail, and in between her getting back to me (we are talking about 45 minutes here) my dad calls me back 3 times to ask me if I have heard anything yet.

Since the Indians played a day game, he also wanted to know each time he called if I knew the Indians had won. Dad's mind has not been quite the same since mom passed away last December

Oh John, it sounds so like what I'm dealing with everyday, except that mom knows that she forgets now, so I just deal with all her stuff from the get go now. I talk with all the doctors & offices and all financial dealings go thru me.

now for another issue.....

I found out tonight that Molly's play at school next spring will be in dress rehersal the 2 weeks that we are on the cruise. Performance will be 5/28-5/30 She will be so sad/mad/upset this might mean she will not get a part that she could get thru auditions. I'm not sure when I should tell her about the date conflict..later not right now for sure.

At least there will be one in North Scottsdale / Phoenix soon!

Oh and I can't wait for the 'north' one to open! The only reasons I go down to Fashion Square are for Nordstrom and Camelview art films!

I'm feeling pretty cocky....just saved $76 on our flights to/from Orlando for December. Went on line to check out the availability/fares JUST in case someone was going to join us and found out they went DOWN! Now I have a credit that I can use towards the trip to Orlando for THIS cruise.

YEA! I got a good report today...we are finally making some progress....they cultured it and the infection is gone and the wound area is getting smaller and healing. They said they're going to try to have me in the pool by the time I do my Oct cruise. YEAHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!

We're not getting there until 11/24, but maybe we can do the bakery 11/25.

I promised Tyler WDW & Sea World (one day of each) and Heather's crew wants to do Busch Gardens, but I do want to meet you & John too! AND Marilyn & her John after she arrives. AND V & her crew can just join for all mini-meets since she's in driving distance!

Well, Marilyn can't do the 25th because she & John are arriving quite late and will be exhausted after traveling so long. But maybe the rest of us can do WDW on the 25th and Heather & I can meet Marilyn & John Mon, Tues, or Wed. And V & her family can come both days!

I want to meet everybody, but it's too confusing to figure out.

Had a fun time out with co-workers. Off to do homework now. Back later during study breaks. I'm pathetic and take one about every 1/2 hour!

The dreaded W word.

Camera talk went way over my head. But I have to share a funny moment from today. After I picked Tyler up from school we went to the mall. As we approached Victoria Secret, Tyler said, "Oh........my........gosh! Mom, those girls are in their underwear!" There were about 4 underwear clad manequins in the display window. He stared at all of them as we walked by, eyes glued the whole time, and just after we passed he said very quietly, "Pretty girls!" TOO funny!

Dennis is just a plain old "Lover"

Maybe we could do Downtown Disney....the kids can play with the legos and we can chat and then maybe go for a meal at the Rainforest Cafe. Just one thought.

We could get to DTD in the evening if the flight isn't late. Last year we were not long after 6pm. That might be too late, but if we are just popping in it might fit in with you all. Please don't set your plans round us though.

We are going to see the Indians play the A's for two games this Saturday and Sunday, and we are hoping they clinch the pennant at home this weekend.

Could you call them and tell them to lie down for us so that can happen? We would really appreciate it! It is our last homestand.

Hello to all my fellow cruisers. Surgery went well on Monday. We arrived right on time at 8:45AM and I was whisked into my room. Since I had filled out all the paperwork before hand things went very smoothly.

Next thing I know I was meeting again with the anesthesiologist, Peter who also has a DD the same as our Samantha. He put a line in my arm and in no time I was fast asleep. When I woke up, surgery was over and I was somewhat groggy. I dozed off and on until about 3 PM. The nurse, Paula, brought me some water and cranberry juice to help me wake up.

I was dressed and ready to go by 4:00PM and home by 4:45PM. Other than being a bit sore near the incision sites, I am feeling fine, just taking it slow and easy.

I did read the boards here a bit and am very sorry to hear about Nan's Mother. Much ixiedust: and prayers to Nan and her Mom for a positive outcome on the PET scan.

So glad that everything went well and that you are already back to DISing!!

Im taking that Sat-Wed off when Holly is here, so we can all pack in my car and get to WDW in about 90 min.( I have to listen to her chatter all that time too )
What about mon or tues? Meet at Downtown Disney or somewhere else, im open to suggestions.

Then as for San Jose, Ill know in another week or so for sure if Im going and then can plan.
Wohoo dis meets all over the USA!
I say we go get Walts plane thats parked at MGM to charter!

Cleaning up the house so that it can be "cleaned" tomorrow! Can't wait, it really needs it! Part of the problem with my working so much is that the house gets terribly neglected. DD and DH just aren't really great with the picking up stuff...

Oh well, back to work so that I can go to bed for a couple of hours!

Typically I don't get the bug to clean about 10pm so I can totally understand. Not good though since I have to be at work at 7:30 and I have a 40 minutes commute.

The work thing totally interferes with my natural night owl tendencies!!

I can completely relate with you and Karen in that regard! I'm usually trying to clean after Tyler's in bed. In fact, last night I was cleaning the bathroom around 10pm.
