That would be so hard, sorry you had such a sad day. Hope you have a nice weekend and manage to get your mind off of the case for a few days:hug:

Thank you for the kind thoughts. Unfortunately, the news last night wasn't what I was hoping for. My services are no longer needed. First time this has ever happened. I am at a loss emotionally. Extremely sad, but also extremely angry.

Angie,

I seem to remember someone else having this problem on another thread, but cannot remember the solution . . . you may want to try the technical support thread. My guess is that it is something within your browser or your system causing the issue.

All the smilies also have keyboard equivalents. Have you tried using them? If you hover your mouse over the smiley, it should show you the keyboard equivalent to the smiley. For example, if you type a colon followed by a close parenthesis, you will get the plain old smile :). There are lots of people who do not click on the smiles, but have memorized the keyboard equivalent to the ones they like to use.

Thanks John, I may have to get some technical help. I can do the smiley with the keyboard, :)

John is still sure that it was suspicious, but he is a bit of a conspiracy theorist - he is not sure the artronauts ever landed on the moon either!:)

My father was employed by NASA his entire life. Retired a few years ago with his astronaut wings. Neil Armstong and Buzz Aldrin have been friends of the family for as long as I have been alive. He can assure John that they did indeed land on the moon:thumbsup2

Lisa,

Tuesday is our 13th Anniversary! 9-4-94!

Hope you have something special planned!

I'll post some pics from the surprise party that I held for DH's 50th 2 weeks ago!

Karen

Happy Anniversary!! I have nothing special planned. I bought the VA Tech season tickets and my DH says we will plan a trip to NY to see Wicked.

Ou 20th anniversay is in Oct, and our MED cruise was to celebrate all these special days as well!!

Thank you Angie for the birthday wishes. I have trouble keeping up here too, but I sure do try! What part of Alberta do you live in? My son just moved there in Feb this year. He is living in Hinton.BTW we can't buy liquor in Ontario outside of a liquor or wine store, so Costco isn't an option.
I'm sending you A PM about dining.
Kathe

I think I got a little mixed up.....
I live in southern Alberta, east of Calgary. Hinton is North and west of Edmonton

There was some great news today . . . . .

Oregon Ducks 48
Houston Cougars 27

Can you believe what happened with Michigan?! That's why they play the games! Now we get to make the trip into the Big House next week to face a really mad team. Or, maybe they just aren't as good as everyone thought.

With VA Tech at #9, I am glad Michigan lost!! Maybe we will move up a slot or 2.

I loved watching game day and the Tech game. The offensive line was a little weak and Gleanon was chased a lot. Gleanon (the QB) was in the same class as the VA Tech shooter in High School (Westfield) and I saw him say all the attention really hurt his play.

Good night.

Just note how late it is for me Holly!!! 11.19pm here!!

Hello granmaz,
I just noticed you are from N Yorkshire. My Aunt lives in England, recently moved from Rotheram (sp)to Filey. My grandparents lived in Sheffield. I have been there 3 times over the years and hope to travel back in 09 or 10.
I am a huge Wimbledon fan.

Angie

OH MY GOSH! That's SO cute! Yes, that not only made me smile, but made me laugh out loud! Thanks for the smile and laugh!

I am glad you liked it!!

So last night and today DH made a cruise budget spread sheet that is AWESOME. He asked me to share it with you all it is very easy to use.

However I can not figure out how to post it? Can anyone help?

Hi All...it was a rough day yesterday, I never even got online. I'm about 20 pages behind in posting, but up to date with all the reading. Today the brother mother hen comes home. YEA!

Yesterday I went to my first follow up wound care appointment. I learned a lot. My condition is not just the result of the puppy scratching. That's how it started, but that's not why it happened. Initially it was the edema and they have to find out the cause of the edema. They will do diagnostics testing at my next appointment which is on Tuesday. They said it's either vascular or arterial...one carries blood to the heart, the other out of the heart. One or the other or both has a problem. I told them of my Mixed Connective Tissue Disease and my AutoImmune Disease and they told me that they wish they had a dime everytime they heard those diseases mentioned along with the edema, infection and wounds that I have. They have a vascular specialist working with the wound care as well as the infectious disease specialist. They commonly interrelate. I have been seeing a rhumotologist and I thought that's all I needed to do...apparently not....so now begins another level of diagnostics and treatment....all of it extremely painful....hope they give me good drugs....at least we'll get to the root of the problem and get it fixed.

From that appointment, we went to the moseleum with Ray on his and mom's 21st wedding anniversary.

Then we had an errand stop to run and then went out for some lunch. By the time I got home, I was exhausted and elevated my feet and crashed.

Now, back to where I left off posting....I believe I was about to repond to Bubba.....:upsidedow :flower3: :upsidedow
Deb, what a hard day that was for you. I'm so sorry. :sad1: But it's good that your brother is here now to help with everything. And at least your doctors can now work on figuring out a solution for you. Things can only get better from this point! And every morning you wake up is a brand new chance to have a better day. :flower3:

Hi Lisa, I live east of Calgary and very south of Hinton. We are Calgary Flames fans!!
I have booked at the Radisson so I will see you there and also at Grills or is it the Grill??
Cant wait :)

We loved going to games at the Saddledome but I couldn't look straight ahead - having the ceiling dip below where I was sitting always gave me a feeling of vertigo!

Can't wait for next May!

Just had a lovely meal out at a local French restaurant, with a couple of our friends. We had a lovely evening. The place reminded me of Le Chefs, with big windows, though the view wasn't anywhere near as nice!

I had Tuna and the rest had lamb. John and I had desserts(:lmao: ), creme brullee for me(oh yes!) and sticky toffee pudding for John. Our friends had starters. I can miss starters completely but have to have a pud!!

I'm with you on the desserts - most nights on the cruise I skipped the salad and appetizers and had 2 desserts!

Enjoy the rest of your weekend, do nothing and get some rest to recharge those batteries!:hippie:  :hippie:

Sounds like a plan we all should follow! Though I have a feeling very few are as quiet as it is around here today.

Hope you're having a nice time with your brother this weekend.

Deb, I am so glad you posted. I was trying to read the last 50 pages to try and figure out how you are. You really will need to take care of yourself.....youhave a long road.

I have edema bad. That is why I went on my quest to lose weight (now about 30 pounds). they have checked my heart and million other things and can come up with no reason. I hope you have better luck!!

Take care, I am thinking of you and praying for you,
Lisa
Lisa, although I'm sorry to hear you have health issues too, I just have to congratulate you on your weight loss! 30 pounds is major! Way to go!

::yes:: I so agree! However.......secretly, I've always wanted to be the person you had to 'watch out for'! :darth: I guess I just don't have it in me....at least not for more than a few minutes at a time :lmao:

OK Jackie, you can be the one we all watch out for....you've got that big sister adventurous spunky thing going on...you can be the daring one for us, but no way you could ever intend any harm to anyone or be mean to anyone, you just care too much....so it's okay for you to have some fun, we know your heart is true!

:woohoo:  :woohoo:
pirate: pirate: pirate:

When one door closes another one opens...don't take it too hard, just look at it as a new opportunity!

Exactly Holly and you're so right Lisa...it was a wonderfully restful day today. My brother got delayed and home late, so I'll see him tomorrow. It gave me an opportunity to relax today and I'm feeling great for having it. Tomorrow, it's a new dawn!:hippie:  :hippie:

I think it is so sad that Tyler's Dad isn't excited about Tyler's first days at kindergarten. My DH took so many pictures the first day you would have though Samantha was a movie star!!
He has informed me that he'll be enrolling Tyler in a different school system and transfering him there after Kindergarten (um...yeah, right....so he thinks), so my guess is that he's hoping to just ignore this whole school year since it's not where he wants Tyler to go to school. Just sad to take that out on Tyler. But I refuse to dwell on his dad's issues. Life's too short and it's just not worth getting upset over. I'll definitely make Kindergarten special for Tyler all year long. :goodvibes He was so excited when I told him I'm really looking forward to helping in the classroom! The teacher says she needs lots of volunteers, so I'll be there as often as possible. It will be so much fun to be part of things in his classroom and I really can't wait!

If I'm reading between the lines correctly here, I'm so, so sorry. :sad1:
