Holly, thank you for finding Karen again. And you know something....I think we all work best under pressure and study best that way. So you're not ready for therapy!

Karen, so glad everything is good with you....even though so many hours in such a short day for you.....but it's nice to have you back. I think the boards are slow because it's Summer.....lots of activities going on.....which is great for catching up. Keep in touch when you can....we love seeing you around here!
:hippie: :cool2: :hippie:

YEAAAAAAA Kaylee.....congratulations on moving in this weekend....that's gotta feel good! At least you have a great excuse to not cook for a week or so....maybe do some barbeques instead! Cookouts can be lots of fun, especially with marshmellows!!!! YUM!!!popcorn:: :upsidedow popcorn::

well we just got out of the pool...I am cooking up some snow peas, shredded carrots, shredded zucchini, broccoli, shrimp and scallops and tossing it with bow ties....yum!!

Do you have any left overs, V? :goodvibes

My Dear Wife Venetia is in need of a little sprinklin' and huggin', if there is any to spare what with all our fellow Disers needin' so much lately. She( Tink1963) lost her Mom unexpectedly this morning:sad1: , and it would greatly brighten her next few days. Many, many , many thanks to those of you who sprinkle or sgueeze.

Take care,
and thanks again,
Bubba

Venetia:

My prayers and hugs are here for you.

Bubba:

Thanks for letting us know what has happened. And prayers for you to offer support like only a husband can provide to a grieving wife.

Nan

I wonder if we ate shrimp every day if we'd start to turn pink like flamingos do!

I love shrimp too, and those cheesy biscuts. I have the recipe for the cheesy biscuts and make them sometimes at home.

That's the weirdest coinquedink! A couple of days ago, I was trying to remember where we used to get the BEST cheese biscuits and I couldn't remember! And here you are... talking about Red Lobster biscuits! they were the ones I was trying to remember!!

Might you share the recipe?

Thanks!

Karen

We saw the musical Jersey Boys last night, which was wonderful. It's the story of Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons. It won the 2006 Tony award for best musical.

They performed many hits, including "Sherry," "Big Girls Don't Cry," "Walk Like a Man," "Oh, What a Night," "My Eyes Adored You," "Dawn (Go Away)," "Let's Hang On (To What We've Got)," "C'mon Marianne," "Working My Way Back to You," and "Can't Take My Eyes Off You." Do you remember any of these?

It was a great show and a nice diversion from worrying about the $100 tax.

Woody

Woody,

YES!! I very much remember these songs! I hope to take my DD to see the play in SF before it closes. We'll see if we have the funds and the time...

Glad you had a great time!

Thoughts, prayers, hugs :grouphug: and pixie dust pixiedust: coming her way!

It's so hard to lose your parents... I still think of mine everyday.

She'll need to be strong for a bit, then she will need a spa day! Trust me on this one!

She's lucky to have you with her, supporting her and giving her love.

Take care and my best to you both.

Karen

Oh, I'm so sorry. It's always hard to lose a loved one, but must be much more difficult when it's unexpected. Thoughts and prayers coming her way.

Bubba- hugs to Venetia.. I'm so sorry for her loss :(

Holly- your study patterns sound a lot like me in law school, except that I didn't start studying until about the night before each final! When I think back, I have no idea how I passed those exams.

Karen- I'll have to take a look for the recipe for the biscuts. I'll try to post it this weekend.

Olivia is suddenly obsessed with belly buttons. She keeps playing with hers and then lifting my shirt so she can look at mine. What a weird baby!
We have exciting news today. We were invited to a special premiere of High School Musical 2 in Times Square. My sisters are so excited!

Oh man! I'm green with envy. LOVE the Four Seasons and Frankie Valli  Think I'm going to have to put a CD or tape in the car now and listen on the way to work!

P.S. Did you see Peg & Jose?

I am so sorry! Many prayers and thoughts out to you and your wife and family.

Bubba, :grouphug: for you and Venetia. I lost my mom unexpectedly years ago and it was the hardest thing I've ever had to get through. Thankfully you have each other for support.

Julie, sure hope things pick up for you in the job arena. You WILL be on this cruise!

Holly, crack those books, young lady!

V, will you PLEASE come over and fix dinner for me? Your sound soooooo good!

Personally, I've managed to drop a couple more pounds...slow going, but at least it IS going!

.....time for the shower and another exciting  day in broadcast advertising.....

Congrats on the weight loss....slow is the best way of keeping it off!!

It is raining here again. Don't get me wrong we need the rain, but it tends to wind the kids up as they don't get to go outside during the day. Today was pajama day in Samantha's class. Most of her night gowns are long sleeved but we found a Bambi one that has short sleeves. As we walked in, it was so cute to hear all the kids...one little boy yelled...."Samantha - look I am wearing my Hot Wheels jammies"....who knew getting to wear pj's is such fun!

Have we had anyone in our group cancel? I noticed on the EB thread a few had canceled. Hopefully not, I think we are all going to have a great time. I am looking forward to spending time with old friends as well as meeting new ones!

Tomorrow is John's birthday.....I ordered a Pirates of the Caribbean cake from Publix. The girls will love it as much as he will. I am probably going to cook instead of going out. He loves stuffed pork chops.....I am not a huge fan of pork chops...I can't remember the last time we had them so maybe I will make him that. We aren't really doing any gifts...don't want to spend the extra money...but I'll take the girls to pick him out something.

My sister's shoulder is healing nicely the dr said, so far no surgery. She has a lap top from work so she is able to do some things from home. I know that worried her as she is brand new on this job.

Does anyone watch so you think you can dance?

Good morning....
Trying to keep positive and look forward to things and make them happen. Probably more realistic should be business plans not Disney plans but, ya gotta live. Reading the boards excites me but, still makes me nervous about funds etc. But, need to think of this as an opportunity, not a struggle!!!!
Are there DISBOARD people up in Casa Grande area ( I think that's where we were thinking of meeting last time)?? I will be heading up that way on Wednesday (trying to make contacts for business etc)

Bubba and Venetia- my prayers go out to you and your families douring this difficult time.

Happy Thursday all

Julie

Oh, yeah, Lilygator! This rain is just getting boring! Today we woke up and it's already dark! Looks like nighttime almost! No WDW today! Gonna watch Disney movies instead!

Isn't it terrible about the bridge collapse in Minneaopolis? I just can't imagine!

On another subject......
RelayForLife_logo_220.gif
.my women''s association here in Hunter's Creek has formed our Relay for Life Team.....we are called the HCWA Hope Angels. It is such a good cause and the event is so much fun! Our event will be the weekend of Nov. 10-11, 2007. Please consider visiting my personal website. All of the money that we raise as individuals will go into the team!

Thanks, Connie

Venetia:

John and I are send you our warmest thoughts and lots of sympathy. I remember what it was like when I lost my Mother in 2003 on July 13 to an aortic aneurysm. When someone is not ill, it is even more of a shock. I thought she would be around for many more years like her own Mother and Father. I know this will be such a hard time for you and my heart just goes out to you and your family.

Our prayers and thoughts are with you during this difficult time.

Noel

Dear Venetia,

I am sorry to hear about the unexpected death of your mom! My most sincere sympathies are with you as well as a great big hug!

:grouphug: I tried to make this hug bigger, but I couln't so I'll just add some more.....:grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug:
