For all of you Harry Potter fans (wince Friday is the big day), here is a photo Alex had taken at King's Cross Station . . .

My sons and I and my sister are going to have a "Harry Potter Day" on Friday! First, off to see the movie and then at 9pm (super late but this is special) off to a bookstore party. We can't wait! I think only my oldest will make it to the party. Great photo! Lisa

Thanks! Well, here's what's funny. I've been up on top twice, ate & had drinks in the little restaurant/bar up there, but never saw the apartment and cottage. Must be back a bit....maybe behind where the gazebo is.

Wow! That looks great. I know you were looking forward to the November cruise but this one is only 298 days away!!! It will come sooner that you know and what a great place to spend a vacation while you wait!

Oh yeah! Absolutely beautiful! After thinking about the price, it's probably so cheap because it's obviously not on a beach. And that's perfect for me because I'm not a major beach addict. I'll go once or twice, but prefer to have clean pool water and NO sand!

Holly, found this page on the Tram site and my fingers are crossed that the week you are interested in is rented to you, as it looks like the apartment is rented right up to November 2008! Wow, but that the cottage is still avaliable for most dates.

Yeah, I saw that earlier today too. But I want the cottage and it looks available. I've sent 2 e-mails telling them I want that week, but haven't had a response yet, so if I don't hear anything tomorrow I'm going to call them instead.

When you and Mrs. Woody are out for your training walks to Manhatten Beach do you ever stop and eat at Good Stuff Hermosa Beach? Maybe I'll see you on the Strand Cam sometime. I have it bookmarked and check in every so often to get my "beach fix." I was just looking at it yesterday and longing to be there on the sand.

Good Stuff is one of our favorite local restaurants. It's right on the Strand, and the food is quite good. Here's the link: eatgoodstuff.com

THE POD IS EMPTY

It is getting picked up Wednesday. Yes for exactly one year I have had a big ugly POD in my driveway. You folks are asking why for one year did you have a POD in your driveway. The answer is I'm LaZY!!!!!! We needed it to store the family room furniture in for the floors to be refinished while we went to London last summer and I was too lazy to bring all the Crap back into the house. I have gotten rid of a lot of it, but still have many boxes in the garage (why yes we do also have a 2 car garage to use for storing crap, but no that isn't enough space for my crap) ok....I have about 8-10 tubs of scrapbooking crap...yes that is the truth. I must get a handle on this problem, at least I don't buy that much stuff anymore...(ha sure I don't)

Brenda....got any good CM stuff you wanna get rid of ????? Just kidding.....

I love to eat at Good Stuff! My family went to Hermosa Beach for vacation every summer for many years and I love to go there still. We always stayed at The Sea Sprite--starting in 1958! What a place--lots of wonderful memories!

Don't worry, you're not alone...my two and a half car garage is full of my school/teaching STUFF (a couple more years and it will be downgraded to "crap")

Just seen film on the news of a massive sand storm in Arizona, on the way to Phoenix. Amazing view from the air, but not nice for those on the ground. Take care.

Well, all, I'm in th hospital and have been told that I have 3 small tumors in my brain. They believe they are mastastisized from another part of the body. I've been though two ct scans and 1 mri. and they still can't find where it might have come from. Tomorrow I will be going in for surgury to remove 2 of the tumors in the cerabellam. Then both the area of removale and the other tumor higher in the head will be treated with radiation. and then kemo. In the meantime they hope to find out from biopsying the two they remove where in the body it came from.

This is going to be a very long journey and me and my family will need all the strength we can get. Prays please.

This cruise is what will keep me going/

Will update as soon as more is known.

We have pictures of the boys at the platform 9 3/4 from our trip two years ago. (I really need to figure out how to post photos). We also went up to Christ's Church College at Oxford and had a tour guide take us to some of the movie sites. The boys dressed up and had great fun. The boys are hosting a Harry Potter party this Friday as well. Feast, games, and such here and then we're taking everyone to Borders for their party. We will return here for a sleepover before the midnight release, however. So I will have to wait to get the book on Saturday.

We had rain yesterday! I'm so happy!!!

(We don't get those wicked dust storms up here like they do in Phoenix, but I've experienced plenty of them in my lifetime.)
