MickeyPool.jpg

where did you stand to get this?...I LOVE IT!!!

Nan-Noel is the keeper of the master list and it's in safe hands!!! So no worries there. But I doubt we'll ever get shut down...we're very well behaved here!!!

it wasn't one of us on the thread, it was pirated from some scum bags....good thougths that won't happen to us.

That is so funny!! Gretchen has these pants and she wore them to school the other day. When she came home for school she said...."someone asked me how do you hid out in the woods with PINK Camoflouge!!" She said "you know, they are right!!":lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

QUOTE]

Molly had them in blue, so did her friend, they wore them every Tuesday for about 3/4 of the school year. I guess they could have been camo in the clouds...tell Gretchen she would hide perfectly in cotton candy :rotfl:

I did not take that picture....it was on the CD that came to our house about a year ago from DCL......

I would be so mad if someone did that to our thread. Sue Ellen (one of the moderators) is a very good friend of mine.....I do not know why they did not delete the user and all of their posts instead of ruining everyone elses time!!

Holly- I haven't mowed yet either! We just bought a lawnmower a few days ago. I collected up our branches, but they're sitting in a pile and need to be bundled.

Going to Wicked sounds great! I've seen the show twice, and LOVED it!
Well, I've mowed the front twice so far, just not the back yet. Glad to hear I'm not the only one in this world still working on cleaning up those branches. I figure Saturday after I pick Tyler up will be a good time to do the branches. That way he can either help me or just play in the back yard. If I tell him we're cleaning up the yard for his party, he'll be jumping to help! :yay:

I am sure I missed a ton of posts today.....last minute things before heading out! I will be reading when I can and try and post a pic or 2 from WDW while we are gone, but have a great 2 weeks everyone!

Noel....so sorry to hear about the disappointing ending with Samantha's school. How frustrating (and heartbreaking) for all of you.

Marilyn....welcome home!!!!!

Great mickey pool picture. There was a cool picture on the Pic of the Day thread the other day that Brack(?) did in a kaleidoscope pattern of the mickey statue.

V...thanks for the weather update:) We have a few warmer outfits but overall we are ready for hot! :woohoo: Maybe I'll see you around OKW or the parks when you get there.

Have a great day everyone.

Well, since he could fly like Nathan too, I think it would be safe to say Nathan is dead too. But . . . remember, this is an alternate future that hopefully Hiro will be able to prevent.

I missed the flying, hmmmm...

I'm sorry that this has happened. I know it's a great disappointment-I actually had something similar happen at UCI with my BA in Poli Sci. I had all the pre-graduation counselor appointments and was told I did everything (as I thought and planned) I needed to do to graduate. June came, I walked through the ceremony and "graduated". Well, about two weeks later I come back from vacation to find a letter from the University stating that I hadn't actually graduated. I had taken an upper division writing class that supposedly qualified for the upper division writing requirement...however, they approved it to fulfill the requirement AFTER I had taken the class but they wouldn't make an exception for me. Is that the most ridiculous thing?! So, I had to take an upper division writing class over the summer AND therefore, my diploma says September 1988 instead of June 1988. When I got the letter I was in sheer panic, thinking how could I have gone to college for 5 years, applied and gotten into law school and then have this happen?! I was stunned and upset at the University! (Needless to say, I opted not to go to law school because I put myself through college and I felt the expense was too great of a burden for me to bear since I already had college loans.)

I know exactly how you're all feeling. It's quite sad and disappointing.

For Sam, there are no summer courses. She would have to go abroad to take any courses as stated in a previous email or graduate next January. The whole situation is just nuts.

What I am hearing more and more from friends that is a common tactic to try to extort more money from parents. Not from us, we are done!!

Thanks for the story and the sympathy!!

Samantha met with the head of the English Department this morning. She was told essentially that if she wants to graduate in May she will have to change her English Major to a minor. The process for approval for a substitute course will not be final before the petition closing date for graduation in May. The head will support the case for her to take the final 3 units elsewhere but there just is not enough time.

Needless to say, we are very disappointed in the University of San Diego. The professor as in any school has the last word. It does not matter if he says one thing and changes his mind later. There is just not simply enough time to go through the appeals process. This is one school who will not be getting any MORE of our money.

We have sent out the invitations so she will just have to explain to family and friends what has happened.

Sigh.............

So sorry to hear that Noel. So sad for her . . .

birkner: I'm sorry to hear that the University wouldn't do the right thing. I hope all works out well for her on her job interviews.

disneylover5: That picture brightened my day as well.

tink1963: Be sure to shake your booty with Kapt Kula and his pyrate band on May 10 and say hi to the inspiration for Black Sam's Spit.pirate:

To all those going to the Dis Meet, I wish I could be there with you. It sounds like it will be a blast. I will be in Ojai the week before and back out to Hollywood that week after the meet. 3 weekends in a row to CA, and I think DH would kill me.

I have to say I have a story like this too . . . when I finished law school, I had not submitted my application for graduation on time. I had a lot on my mind, was working full time, and had a pregnant wife (Alex was born that June). They were not going to let me graduate, and walk, even though I had completed all the requirements for graduation. I was thunderstruck.

I appealed to the Dean of the Law School, and he was sympathetic to my plight, and appealed to the Board of Trustees of the University. Happily, my story ended on a better note, as my appeal was successful. Somewhere, we have a photo of me with my cap and gown with Amy 8 months pregnant beside me.

I just bought my mom's Mother's Day gift.....a ticket to go see Wicked with me in July! She's gonna be really happy!

It's such a beautiful day today! I should be doing yardwork....I have to clear out all of the branches in our back yard that fell over winter so I can mow. That's right.....I haven't mowed our back yard yet. But it's not as bad as you'd think because it's all shade back there, so the grass grows really slowly. However, I'm just sitting on my front porch, enjoying the chance to relax in the beautiful weather! :thumbsup2

Man, it took me over two hours to mow tonight - the grass has grown thick and lush and kept clogging up the mower. I just mowed on Sunday too! Our yard looks like one of those pictures of lush emerald green of Ireland or something. I think Spring is finally here.

I too would be upset if something like this happened to our thread. The EB thread had some issues, as someone got emails and started spamming people on the thread. Another moderator, Lbgraves (Lisa) is a good friend of mine, and she had her hands full with this. It's unfortunate that there are people out there that think it is fun to ruin things for everyone else.

Yup, that's Brack from our DD cruise - he bought some software that does that for him, and has been doing some cool stuff with it. We don't need to share the photo he did on our old thread with it . . .:rolleyes1

I missed the flying, hmmmm...

When he got the cell phone call from the mind reading guy while giving his speech about the "Linderman Bill" (did you guys catch that?) he heard that Hiro was captured and took off flying to where they were.

Well, since he could fly like Nathan too, I think it would be safe to say Nathan is dead too. But . . . remember, this is an alternate future that hopefully Hiro will be able to prevent.

I caught the flying but forgot the whole "they have to be dead for him to have their powers bit".

Shape shifter girl is still alive inthe present isn't she? Or did he kill her already?

How about these?

2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon salt
3/4 teaspoon ground black pepper

Dip drained pickles into milk mixture and then dredge them in the flour mixture. Deep fry until golden brown. Drain on paper towels. Salt and pepper to taste

I missed the flying, hmmmm...

Thanks - sounds good! The ones I've had before have been sliced like like bread & butter chips instead of spears.

Okay, between Lisa and Sue Ellen, we can keep the bad guys away!!!

I got mixed up in some of the Eastbound stuff.....don't want to do that again,

Lost at Bunco ... oh well maybe next month!!

Good night!!

How much do I want my sofa on the cruise, hmmmm?

Thank you. Job interviews are going well. She is flying home for another round of interviews tomorrow.
