I have to say I have a story like this too . . . when I finished law school, I had not submitted my application for graduation on time. I had a lot on my mind, was working full time, and had a pregnant wife (Alex was born that June). They were not going to let me graduate, and walk, even though I had completed all the requirements for graduation. I was thunderstruck.

I appealed to the Dean of the Law School, and he was sympathetic to my plight, and appealed to the Board of Trustees of the University. Happily, my story ended on a better note, as my appeal was successful. Somewhere, we have a photo of me with my cap and gown with Amy 8 months pregnant beside me.

I am so glad your story ended on such a happy note!!

Yes, she is still alive in the present, and working for the "bad" guys. I thought that the storyline with HRG was interesting too (should we now call him WRG?).

I'm guessing everyone is off watching TV tonight. Very quiet around here. I'm watching CSI and taping Supernatural - I'll watch Grey's Anatomy tomorrow night - love that they show it on Friday too.

Anybody doing anything for National Scrapbook Day Saturday? I'm going to a crop with normal once a month crop group. I'll probably hit a few LSS sales in the morning too.

I've always said that full moons are to be "watched carefully"!

I loved Girl Scouts. I made it all the way to Seniors. I was the only one in our council at the time so I actually just went aroung with various troops each week - mostly Cadettes.

Love the Bananas Foster at the Jazz Kitchen! I'd love to hear about Steakhouse 55 when you get back. I've *almost* eaten there (Grandville's) several times then changed my mind at the last minute! I haven't made it to Napa Rose yet either. Hmmmmm, just this minute realized that while I've done the $$$ restaurants at WDW, I haven't really at DLR. I wonder why that is?

Sounds like great plans, have a wonderful time!

We always do Napa Rose, ever since the Opening of Cal Adventure! It really is our favorite, along with Jiko, Citricos, California Grill and of course, Victoria and Albert's.

If Napa Rose were closer to us, we would be there once a month!! We really LOVE it!!

We did have a nice chatty morning, it was fun. I feel like I often do 'drive by postings' most the time, it was fun to have a 'real time' conversation.

Brennan's is outstanding. DH held his 20 year high school reunion there! (He was ASB president his senior year and since the senior class president turned out to be a flake, he ended up handling both the 10 year and 20 year reunions...lot of work!) We've eaten there a few times...great food and I've been to the Brennan's in NOLA (new orleans, LA) which is outstanding and such a fun environment!! You'll also enjoy Napa Rose and the Golden Vine!

How fun for you!!!!

We've done Napa Rose every time we've gone down since it opened! The other's will be new to us. Looking forward to them all!!

Speaking of NOLA, have you heard Harry Conick, Jr's album of the same name? Really good!!

How cool! My 5 yr old niece does that for Meijer stores (for their clothing and toy departments) and for some other place too, but I can't remember where. Oops.....most of you don't have Meijer stores where you live! It's a large grocery store chain that doesn't just sell groceries, but sells everything under the sun that you could ever need. Their motto is something like "The one stop shopping spot" and it's true!

Hi Karen....it's good to be back!

We're leaving here Sat early and we're stopping to see Lisa in Bethany Beach, a mini-dismeet. We'll do coffee and hugs and keep each other company for a little while. Then we'll check into the hotel. We have a suite with a balcony overlooking the ocean. YEAH I really need it bad. We're staying until Tuesday. We'll shop for turtles, my favorite, to add to my collection. We're meeting our real estate agent and friend, Donna, for drinks on Monday. We'll eat at the Greene Turtle, my favorite. We'll bring wine and pop some corks on the balcony.

I can't wait. I need Calgon to take me away....

John and I will be in staying in Ocean City, MD, Sat, Sun and Mon. We'll hit Bethany and Rehoboth. We're coming home Tuesday. If you weren't going to be there with your friends, I would suggest doing a mini-meet. Maybe next time. Have fun. I need the ocean this weekend. It always puts life into perspective for me.

DITTO!! I love the Ocean!! We won't get to visit our place for quite a while with the opening of the new shop, but we always enjoy it so much!!

I just bought my mom's Mother's Day gift.....a ticket to go see Wicked with me in July! She's gonna be really happy!

It's such a beautiful day today! I should be doing yardwork....I have to clear out all of the branches in our back yard that fell over winter so I can mow. That's right.....I haven't mowed our back yard yet. But it's not as bad as you'd think because it's all shade back there, so the grass grows really slowly. However, I'm just sitting on my front porch, enjoying the chance to relax in the beautiful weather!

Wicked was one of the best plays that we EVER saw!

What a great present!

Enjoy the great weather! Cold and rainy here in Sunny California!

For Sam, there are no summer courses. She would have to go abroad to take any courses as stated in a previous email or graduate next January. The whole situation is just nuts.

What I am hearing more and more from friends that is a common tactic to try to extort more money from parents. Not from us, we are done!!
