I'm trying to catch up here, I have about 10 pages or so, and I get a warning PM from lbgraves...my signature is too big....so I had to do some editing.:sad1:

....ok, back to reading and posting and catching up....:sad1: :thumbsup2

Squeekum, squeeker, squeekety squeek?

Anyone... Anyone...???

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: Love Kronk. Love Patrick Warburton. My kids laugh cuz every time we got to an animated movie, he seems to be doing one of the voices. I wish he'd do more live action. I like his deadpan delivery. Do you remember him from Seinfeld and (waaay back now) Dave's World?

In our district, which is in California, they have to "achieve" standards that have been put in place for all classes. I recall her "music" teacher utilizing the sections from the standards list when he did articles for me for the school newsletter.

Our DD's elementary did performances that were centered around a theme that had to do with music from regional areas. I remember "Christmas Down Under" which had music and rhythms and animals from Australia and New Zealand. Next they had one that had to do with the "Ranchos in California" from the early to mid-twentieth century. Their final one in fifth grade had to do with American and the rights that we have here. They were all very enjoyable, though different from what I had grown up with.

Not a traditional song, really, among them.

Her Chorus this year in 6th grade is an elective course and they are doing more "choral" type songs. Not really too much along the lines that I did for so many years in school, but very enjoyable.

Karen

Karen is being very nice. I will not say how I feel about the music shows.:scared:

So, it isn't just my DD and her music teacher :lmao: I really miss the good 'ole concerts, but I guess those days are long gone. :sad2:

Yup, that's me, diplomatic...:rolleyes1

Karen

Aren't we all ???:rotfl2:

... in my dreams :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

I think I have been spending such a long time these past couple of days trying to catch up that yesterday I dreamed will you and our cruise.

At least I can tell you we all had a fun, even if crazy and weird time, lol :lmao:

Julie, that is so cool!!! It's great meeting you too and I'm glad we some weird fun together. Soon, 13 months, we get to make it real!!!:hippie:

Poor Lisa must be on safety patrol duty . . .

Oh well, if everyone did anything they wanted with their sig, the server would probably fill up in a heartbeat.

I just can't keep up with all of you but your still keeping my interest! :) I have been having some "issues" with DCl and my med cruise. I am still going, just frustrated with some of their excursion and palo booking practices. I have everything done and booked now for the med, so in july when I return I will be able to fully concentrate on this cruise. I am hoping that I will be able to get a rebooking discount on board, but I can't even book this cruise online. So is it sold out? Anyone? Can you rebook your current reservation? Also, has anyone been to the carribean ports before. Is it necessary to have excursions? I have been to the pacific ones many times and found that excursions are not necessary. I actually prefer to stay on the ship on the pacific side. Well have a good day.

As far as I know this sailing is sold out which I find amazing! It does seem like a lot of folks are going without kids...which is great for our kids that are going....won't be as crowded. And happy kids, make happy parents, even if that means the adult areas WILL be crowded. Can't havei t all I guess!

Other topic....has anyone done a zip line or canopy tour before? DH and I are tossing it around as I've always wanted to do one, but then it would mean we'd have to leave the kids on the ship and I'm not sure about that. Although now that we have all these great DIS friends, I know that, God forbid, if something happened they'd look out for our kids (I'm serious too, I totally get that vibe from everyone) . We would only do the excursion through Disney though, just in case there was a problem. I've heard on the Disney excursions if there's a delay returning they'll hold the ship. :confused3

Anyway, I'd like input from anyone who's done a zip line and also about leaving the kids on board (they'll be 6 and almost 10 at the time).

THANKS!!! :flower3:

I made a turnaround trip to the valley this afternoon. My sister got an appointment with a psychic and asked if I wanted to go with her. I did...it was very intense! Plus, I'm working tomorrow, subbing for a reading teacher friend at my old school. I wish I could just be at home an assimilate what I heard today.

I'm going to have to sign off now--too tired to read any more. I'll be back tomorrow night!
'Bye all!

Sounds very interesting. Always wanted to do that.

Well that is exciting taking the teaching certificate!! I will be interested to hear how you get on! I think at my age I will only progress so far, but I want to be able to do all that I can. I wonder if disney would get some hoops on the ship for us!!:dance3:

I'll let you know what happens with it all!

Good morning everyone----can I just say how glad I am that today is Wednesday! Almost Friday! (yes, I know I'm wishing my life away).
Ok - here are my stressers for this week - chunk of the company I work for got sold so no clue what is happening w/ my job; best friend has just been told she needs a hysterectomy due to fibroids (remember the last hysterectomy I had to deal with (sister)? needless to say not looking forward to this one); and father just got diagnosed w/ prostate cancer (which I realize is one of the best cancers to get if you're going to get
Ok - talk to you guys later!

Wow...what a week. The story says things come in 3's, so at least you know that will be it for a while. Sending you lots of :grouphug: and pixiedust: . Good luck with everything with your job, I hope the surgery turns out well and your dad recovers quickly from his cancer.

Nan, I know exactly what you mean....I'd stay up hours to finish a book, and always have done! (guess that's why I'm a librarian?;)) Absolutely loved The Time Traveller's Wife too. I can't find a good book I fancy reading at the moment though. I did buy the Historian to read on my upcoming holiday so hope it's good!:)

Love the Sophie Kinsella Shopaholic books.....I'm sure they were written about me!;) Just waiting for it to come out in paperback now....:thumbsup2

Waiting for that too, but it is at the $300.00 store right now so I might break down and buy it in hardcover.

We've avoided the eating shots - he likes to take about 2 minutes to take the shot so I'm usually making a funny face or saying "are you done yet?"

Thanks for the warning Lisa, I'll make sure I'm holding the camera when we do dinners together. Last cruise we sat with previous discruise friends from Phoenix and we used their camera to take pics of them and they used our camera to take pics of us...maybe we won't do this with your DH. We'll let you take the shots!!!

Oh, you'll just have to wait and see! No, it wasn't on sale, but it was worth paying full price for (full price being $16)---wheeeeee!

So, TELL US what you heard from the psychic. I love when you get a good one!:rolleyes1

Your guess is as good as mine. :confused3 But like you, I completely understand the reason......I just remove something whenever I'm told and hope it's good.

I decided one ticker at a time is good enough for me. I can just look at other peoples' tickers on here. The Ship of Thieves logo will suffice for now. :woohoo: It's such a great logo, I'd rather have that than a ticker....for sure! :thumbsup2

Took my ticker off too!!! Let's hope I am legal :) now.

I remembered reading somewhere about this, so went and searched. Have a look here, scroll down to the second 31st May posting(the first is horsebackriding). This was a Puerta Vallarta.

I am sure somewhere though i saw a report and pics.:confused3

I am going to leave my DD who will be 5 when we sail. I will probably be taking the DD who will be 11 almost 12 because I don't think I would hear the end of it if I did the zip line and not her.:rotfl:

Good morning everyone----can I just say how glad I am that today is Wednesday! Almost Friday! (yes, I know I'm wishing my life away).

Someone asked if DCL was going to have htl deals - they did the last time around, so would expect them to this time around too (but I haven't asked since I'm not staying after the cruise). It wasn't like a land/sea thing, just an add on with a special rate (not sure how discounted it was tho).

Love those Brit Coms! As Time goes by, Are you being served?, Fautly Towers, Keeping up Apperances, there was one with Rowan Atkinson (voice of Zazu in The Lion King) as a cop but don't remember the name of the show.

Ok - here are my stressers for this week - chunk of the company I work for got sold so no clue what is happening w/ my job; best friend has just been told she needs a hysterectomy due to fibroids (remember the last hysterectomy I had to deal with (sister)? needless to say not looking forward to this one); and father just got diagnosed w/ prostate cancer (which I realize is one of the best cancers to get if you're going to get cancer but still!). OK - I'm done for this week!

John - should give you a hard time cuz you were in my neck of the woods (WDW) and didn't pm me for a DISmeet.....but I won't (haha). Glad you had a great time.

Ok - talk to you guys later!

Here is what DU told me. I think this price is EXTREMLEY HIGH so do the words no way in **** mean anything? I will book on my own thanks....

Thank you for your email.

DCL is offering a two or three night stay before or after the west coast sailings. As you are on the repositioning cruise, yours would be a post night stay.

For your party, the cost of two nights in a standard room at the Disneyland Hotel would be $1086.50. This pricing does not include tickets to the parks. This pricing is directly from DCL.

As Disneyland is not currently booking 2008 dates, we can not check pricing for a concierge suite. When the 2008 dates are released, we will be happy to help your reservation.

Hope this helps everyone!

Kim

I'm pretty sure this cruise sold out in a few days (and I think the EB sold out the day booking opened).

Regarding excursions, I've done it both ways. One year we did an excursion at every single port (Western Caribbean) and the following year we only did one excursion and just wandered around the other ports on our own (Eastern). It just really depends on your budget and how busy you want to be or if you just want to relax and wing it (which is what I prefer). :thumbsup2

Because I bug kevin all the time about my cat 3 that I want SOOOOO BAD, this is what he said about this cruise:
Currently, both repositioning cruises are sold out. I call each and every day and there are no rooms available in any category. Also, I am not going to stumble on an available category 3 stateroom. As there is a waitlist, I will have to wait for DCL to contact me if one becomes available and you are next on the list. If they contact me, I have a short window of opportunity in which to contact you and for you to reply.

Sure you can book a dummy date. Right now, we have a dummy date for Jan '08, which was going to be for another cruise in 2008 (we moved our December 2007 cruise to the WB Repo). Right now, that dummy date is waiting for maybe a January 2009 date to land on. The DCL advance reservation people on board get it too, and know what you are doing - they even use the word "dummy date".

Now weather or not you will be able to move that date to this cruise - that is another question . . .

John, spelling error, tsk tsk... Do I need to call Caroline?

Only if you watch the Disney Channel with your kids... Like I do, all the time....

Kim

Ditto - Disney Channel or Mythbusters, I am there.

Yes, it helps me say no **** way in ****!

What variety of crack cocaine are they smoking?

For that price, why wouldn't I get park tickets, transportation to the hotel, Concierge, and FOOD! Yikes!

Standard room, $500+ a night, yeah, I'm on that . . . Do you think this has anything to do with the memorial day holiday?

Angie and Dennis, how much for a standard room in the MH?:rotfl2:

75 degrees yesterday to 35 degrees and flurries today . . .

You gotta Love Ohio weather!

And, you have me wondering too . . . what are "uggs"?:confused3

Do I want to know?

You guys have got to be kidding. Seriously? They are those fluffy boots that everyone wore last year.
