For that price, why wouldn't I get park tickets, transportation to the hotel, Concierge, and FOOD! Yikes!

Standard room, $500+ a night, yeah, I'm on that . . . Do you think this has anything to do with the memorial day holiday?

John, just for comparison purposes. We are staying the GF concierge level with park hopper passed for less than $500 a night. So I'd say yes they are on crack.

Also, I just went online to look at the DL hotel the week after christmas (yes mega busy) and it was only 610 for the 2 nights.... What is DCL trying to sell us?

As far as I know this sailing is sold out which I find amazing! It does seem like a lot of folks are going without kids...which is great for our kids that are going....won't be as crowded. And happy kids, make happy parents, even if that means the adult areas WILL be crowded. Can't havei t all I guess!

Other topic....has anyone done a zip line or canopy tour before? DH and I are tossing it around as I've always wanted to do one, but then it would mean we'd have to leave the kids on the ship and I'm not sure about that. Although now that we have all these great DIS friends, I know that, God forbid, if something happened they'd look out for our kids (I'm serious too, I totally get that vibe from everyone) . We would only do the excursion through Disney though, just in case there was a problem. I've heard on the Disney excursions if there's a delay returning they'll hold the ship.

Anyway, I'd like input from anyone who's done a zip line and also about leaving the kids on board (they'll be 6 and almost 10 at the time).

Lisa...we have not but our friends did it a few years ago (not through DCL) and had an amazing time. It was one of their favorite things they did. Also, leaving kids on board is a huge debate (I think). We did in Nassau as we were just going shopping and didn't feel like we would be off the ship that long. There weren't any problems (actually when we went the get DD's for lunch they both told us to go away!). My kids will be the same age and I think as long as you let them know what is happening they should be fine. So, really, no help in answering your questions, right?! I am so excited for DCL to release more details for this cruise but I am sure that won't happen until they get back from Med. I want to know about dining times (heard that on the Med cruises they were only offering 2 seatings early and late, with no staggered times), and excursions. I mean, we are going to break in 399 days on Friday...we NEED this information now to get planning

Good morning everyone----can I just say how glad I am that today is Wednesday! Almost Friday! (yes, I know I'm wishing my life away).

Someone asked if DCL was going to have htl deals - they did the last time around, so would expect them to this time around too (but I haven't asked since I'm not staying after the cruise). It wasn't like a land/sea thing, just an add on with a special rate (not sure how discounted it was tho).

Love those Brit Coms! As Time goes by, Are you being served?, Fautly Towers, Keeping up Apperances, there was one with Rowan Atkinson (voice of Zazu in The Lion King) as a cop but don't remember the name of the show.

Ok - here are my stressers for this week - chunk of the company I work for got sold so no clue what is happening w/ my job; best friend has just been told she needs a hysterectomy due to fibroids (remember the last hysterectomy I had to deal with (sister)? needless to say not looking forward to this one); and father just got diagnosed w/ prostate cancer (which I realize is one of the best cancers to get if you're going to get cancer but still!). OK - I'm done for this week!

John - should give you a hard time cuz you were in my neck of the woods (WDW) and didn't pm me for a DISmeet.....but I won't (haha). Glad you had a great time.

Those are funny. Allright, I'm still here. My dd came out "dressed" if thats what you can call it! Too short shorts with uggs? What kind of look is that? I sent her back to her room to try again. I am all for letting our kids dress themselves..even if it doesn't match (which is very hard for me) but not when they come out looking like...well anyways. She's deciding on a new outfit. Then we're off to home depot.

Karen, I was trying to figure out why my Champagne Girls logo originally had a white background, but when I was on the computer at work, it had a black background. I thought I was losing my mind because everybody else saw a white background. I made a turnaround trip to the valley this afternoon. My sister got an appointment with a psychic and asked if I wanted to go with her. I did...it was very intense! We also have been having the "it's too short" conversation in my house. It's not because she wants to wear things short, it's because she grows inches in her legs over night. What a lucky girl. She is supposed to be 5'8'-5'10", me 5'2" not fair

My kids had them (short boots, not the big ones in your pic) for after swim pracice this winter (she in purple, he in black). Kept their tootsies nice and toasty..

Well, they do look nice and warm! I suppose if I had a girl, I'd be forced into knowing all that fashion stuff. Yuck. When I was pregnant, I was on pins and needles just waiting until I got far enough along to find out that "boy or girl" question. My biggest fear (besides there being 2 inside me) was of having a girl, so I about jumped for joy when I found out he was a boy! I knew I'd have absolutely no idea what to do with a girl!
