So...................I'm sure everybody can tell by now the days I'm NOT busy at work! :lmao: :rotfl2: :rotfl: One boss is in court and the other left for the day for a funeral. So here I sit, broken hearted....nothing to do. :rolleyes1

I share your boredom. I am unexpectedly off this week. While that is nice to have a "freebie" I just took off time last week to go to disneyland and so I am backed up at work. We're closed for spring break and they decided to do some major maintenance to our office building so no one can walk on the floors! I should clean my house, but that sounds really boring ;) Guess I'll just surf the web.

I just can't keep up with all of you but your still keeping my interest! :) I have been having some "issues" with DCl and my med cruise. I am still going, just frustrated with some of their excursion and palo booking practices. I have everything done and booked now for the med, so in july when I return I will be able to fully concentrate on this cruise. I am hoping that I will be able to get a rebooking discount on board, but I can't even book this cruise online. So is it sold out? Anyone? Can you rebook your current reservation? Also, has anyone been to the carribean ports before. Is it necessary to have excursions? I have been to the pacific ones many times and found that excursions are not necessary. I actually prefer to stay on the ship on the pacific side. Well have a good day.

I'm pretty sure this cruise sold out in a few days (and I think the EB sold out the day booking opened).

Regarding excursions, I've done it both ways. One year we did an excursion at every single port (Western Caribbean) and the following year we only did one excursion and just wandered around the other ports on our own (Eastern). It just really depends on your budget and how busy you want to be or if you just want to relax and wing it (which is what I prefer). :thumbsup2

Yea, I just tried to look up again and it's not coming up. That blows, I was going to try to save an extra 10%. Maybe I'll book a 7 day too? Wait, I didn't realize I was a rockafeller. :rotfl2::rotfl::lmao:
I have a couple of friends pressuring me to cancel this cruise and go with them on a 7 day instead. I keep telling them, that I am paying LESS to go on this 15 day then I would for a 7 day. They just aren't getting it!

Do you know if can I book onboard a "dummy" date to get the discount and then transfer it to the wb cruise when rooms open. I would assume that as we get into 2008 there will be some spaces that open up. I am sure I will want to take a cruise in 2009 but there are no dates yet.

Unfortunately, I have no idea. Despite the fact that this will be my 5th Disney cruise, I've never re-booked onboard. Never been able to bring that much extra money with me. :sad2: Bums me out to think of all the savings I lost! But I know the pros here will have an answer for you! :thumbsup2

Thanks for the info. I will ask on board. Allrighty..gotta go get dressed and go to home depot to get some "paint samples" yea, thats it. To make our mickey magnets for the med. Have a good day at work.

Thanks! Have fun getting your magnet supplies! :thumbsup2

after one night of transferring files i gave up on my touchpad for things like that!!!! i went to walmart and bough a retractable mouse for $20...it just plugs into a usb port whenever i want to use it and i don't have to plug anything in when i don't need to use it! :surfweb:

DH went out a bought a cordless mouse...he got a new laptop too and gave up on the touchpad the first day. I'm stubborn and feel like it's a new challenge that I won't let beat me.:headache:

I know what you mean Deb! Especially that highlighting thing! I'm really not a 'geek' like my dh...I was pleased as punch when I managed to set up Mum's PC for her while I was down there last week. :woohoo: Mind you, she's the most technically challenged Mum in the world and have already had a phone call to ask me yet again how to turn the pc off!!!!;)

I've got one better for you....I got my mom a cell phone and added it to my service. I showed her how to use it but....she gets confused about how to start and stop a call....I tell her press green to make the call and red to end the call. She gave up and doesn't use it.

I know.....all that shopping I could have done for more shoes to wear........:rolleyes1 :rotfl2: As you say, these things are meant to be though.......for instance Becky's exams start toward the end of May so I'd be a horrible Mum to be away at that time.....:sad2:

...Just have to book another cruise then and at least you'll be there to support Becky during exam time...see, everything works out for a reason.:goodvibes

:thumbsup2 know what you mean Maz! a 3 day just won't be right will it?!;)

I'm doing a 4 night....had to get that day at sea in there...I'm doing it with the whole family only once. I want to do Atlantis too. So I told DH we'll do the short one with the kids/grands and save the long ones for us without them!!!:cool1:

Something that might help Deb, (maybe you already know this) there's a way to change the sensitivity of the touch pad that could make it easier to use. Not sure where it would be in a PC, which I assume you have. On a Mac, it's under "System Preferences". It took me awhile to get used to mine, too. Don't give up! But if you can't stand it, you can just plug a mouse into one of the USB ports--easy!

You're right. I realized the sensitivity of the touch pad is very, very light. I've decided to keep it that way and just adapt to it. Also, I refuse to give up. I will win out in the end!!! I'm determined!!!:cheer2:

Just an idea for you: I have a cute little tiny mouse that I got for my laptop just for Tyler to make it easier for him to do his computer stuff (sesamestreet.com :lmao: ) and it just plugs in, no installing, and has a retractible cord, so it's very handy. I just stick it in a drawer when he's done with it. I LOVE it! Not sure what brand it is....can look when I get home from work if you're interested.

Thanks, but not gonna do it....refuse to let it beat me!!! DH already bought one for his, but I will not let the machine win....I'm in control, not the mouse!!! Right!!!:upsidedow

:rotfl: OOPS! I hate when I forget to read other posts before posting about something! Sorry for repeat info! :guilty:

I do it too, it's ok!!!

is it DIS green???? :thumbsup2 :lmao:

Did ya get it on sale ????:confused3

I use a plug in cordLESS mouse. The cord was hard with the laptop. It was a bit of $$$ ($40 I think)

That's what DH did for his new laptop...not me, no way, not gonna let it win!!! :sad2:

That's what I use at work (but not a laptop).....I LOVE it! Hmmm....I might just have to buy one for my laptop at home too. Great idea! :thumbsup2

You GO GIRL!!!:cool2:

I have to say, the more I'm using it, the more I'm getting used to it....so it's getting better.

So I'm all alone now. :sad1: :rolleyes1 One more hour of work left. Or I guess I should say: One more hour of sitting here bored. :guilty:

Here's a joke posted on my other meet thread:

GAMES FOR WHEN WE ARE OLDER
1. Sag, you're It.

2. Hide and go pee.

3. 20 questions shouted into your good ear.

4. Kick the bucket

5. Red Rover, Red Rover, the nurse says Bend Over.

6. Musical recliners.

7. Simon says something incoherent.

8. Pin the Toupee on the bald guy

Those are funny. Allright, I'm still here. My dd came out "dressed" if thats what you can call it! Too short shorts with uggs? What kind of look is that? I sent her back to her room to try again. I am all for letting our kids dress themselves..even if it doesn't match (which is very hard for me) but not when they come out looking like...well anyways. She's deciding on a new outfit. Then we're off to home depot.

Sure you can book a dummy date. Right now, we have a dummy date for Jan '08, which was going to be for another cruise in 2008 (we moved our December 2007 cruise to the WB Repo). Right now, that dummy date is waiting for maybe a January 2009 date to land on. The DCL advance reservation people on board get it too, and know what you are doing - they even use the word "dummy date".

Now weather or not you will be able to move that date to this cruise - that is another question . . .

Deb,

Hope all goes well with your mom. I actually miss all of the times I spent taking my mom to her Docs... Funny the things that you miss!

I know EXACTLY what you mean, mom was critically sick 3 years ago...in ICU...heavily drugged with morphene...not concsious for about 2 monts...one day I called her house to reach my bro (who was in town temproraily because he needed to be) and he wasn't there and I got her answering machine and heard her voice and broke out in tears, sobbing...previously I complained about the message on her machine and wanted her to change it. Well that day, I called again and again to hear her voice and I loved her message....it's the little things that get you!:cloud9:

Hope your DD has a great B-day celebration! I love pasta stuffed shells! (Pasta anything, really...):rolleyes1

Me too!!! It was sooooo yummy!!! We had a good time, but got home late for a weeknight....DH gets up at 5am for work everyday.:flower3:

Most of my evening/early am posts are done on our laptop! I just love the multi-tasking ability with it!! :rotfl2: (TV/Post/TV/Post/TV/Post...)

Karen

I do the same thing...now that's what I call multi-tasking!!!

75 degrees yesterday to 35 degrees and flurries today . . .

You gotta Love Ohio weather!

And, you have me wondering too . . . what are "uggs"?:confused3

Do I want to know?

Same weather here too, but a few degrees colder.....supposed to stay the same at least through Sunday. If April showers bring May flowers, what do April snow showers bring? :confused3
