Today is FOOTBALL.....championship playoff games and my giants are playing in the later game. I can't wait for the games to begin. John is doing a Subway run for some good football food. I'll need to take a nap later when the Giants are on so maybe they have a chance of winning. I would be so ecstatic if they went to the Superbowl.....along with all of america, I just don't think they have a chance of it happening. But I'm glad they got this far and I get to see them play today. Make it a good fight at least.......GO GIANTS!!!!

Trying to catch up again... I can't believe how chatty everyone was on Sunday and Monday. I can tell that Holly has her internet back!!;)

Deb,

Congrats on the Giants win! I was thinking of you and wondered if you had napped during the game?:rolleyes1

Most call me Angie, my Mom calls me Angela Kay when I am in trouble,;) Dennis calls me either Ang or AnnieKay. I really answer to anything.

Hey You ! You ! hey Toots ! :rotfl2:

I have had so many nicknames it's hard to remember them. Spook, Mork (in VietNam), Killer, Mog, Den, Denny, Ace.....:confused3

Running Bear jumped into the water.
Little White Dove did the same.
As they swam out to each other through the swirling water they came.
As their hands touched and their lips met, the swirling water pulled them down
Now they'll always be together in that happy hunting ground.

Gosh that is scary that after so many years...too many to remember...I can instantly remember that song...that's what 12 years of GS camp will do to you. :)

Except in the original song it was the Raging River that pulled them down.

OK Lisa, I had to find all the lyric...there were some gaps in my memory:

Although....I think that first line is Running Bear AN INDIAN BRAVE

AND Running Bear DOVE in the water. He may have went in the water too, but the song left that part out. :lmao: :lmao:

We're going to Cracker Barrel for dinner. Tomorrow we are going to see National Treasure. Has anybody seen it? Any good?

Love Cracker Barrel!! I miss visiting the south, made sure that when I visited I would go there!

We really enjoyed National Treasure! Hope you enjoyed it as well.

Karen

Oh Deb! I know how hard this is. Please do call anytime, we can talk thru this. Just breath when those strong urges come, deep breath, sip water and it WILL pass. It will come again, but eventually less frequent and less intense. Hang in there. What do you enjoy doing besides shopping? You need to reward yourself with something. Look at your list of reasons to quit.

And use your baggie of cheerios.

Just thought I would show you what DH and I have been doing this weekend. this was our old Disney Room and it is now our main guest room since we turned the bigger room into our Disney Room.

Wow. I finally Caught up to myself! Ah, such Madness ! I Love it!:lmao:

Goodnight all of you lovely people. :grouphug:

Dr:hug:

Here's the recipe I used. I have to say, I cooked boneless/skinless chicken and shredded it. I julienned carrots and onions and also put in fresh mushrooms and a dew chopped potatoes. I used more than suggested. I also got the refrig pie crusts and put them into individual foil small bread pans to make them smaller.

Thanks V!!

Good Morning

My son forgot give me the letter from his school.

I opened it and and it said that kids are not allowing to leave for May's holiday!!:scared1: :scared1:

I phoned the head teacher this morning and she explained that it is from Scottish Executive states taht permission for family holidays in term time can only be granted.

In the letter mention:

1. where the family holiday is important to the wellbeing and cohesion of the family, following Serious or terminal illness, bereavement or other traumatic events.

2. Where evidence is provided by an employer that leave cannot be accommodated during school Holidays without significatn conseqences.

As the holiday falls during term time, and as your request does not comply with these circumastances, it is not possible to approve the leave.

My husband is leaving his job in March and start new job with two self employer as they are his friend, they set up a new business last year and they were so busy and don't have time off for their holiday.

Head teacher advise me to ask new job to write and explain that my husband cannot get off in Summer holiday because he is working through the summer to give two friend to have their holiday.

Oh dear why it never smooth problem. No way we cancel our holiday!! As everything had been paid for.

So I will tell my husband to see his friend and write a letter to head teacher about new job.

I feel a bit upset this morning.

But I hope it is sort out soon.

I wonder about your kids, are they allowing off school in USA?

Scottishwee35

I was gonna say Blab for short but that was just toooooo much :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

:lmao: :lmao:

Nan - what size is Molly - I pretty much scour what I would like and then email and ask for a discount on two. etc.....

also - the name thing, I wanted to be called Kelly in the fifth grade. That was my babysitter's name and she was just so cool!

I always hated my name so chose my middle name when I went away nurse training - Ruth. I was Marilyn at home and Ruth away. I changed back when i left and goit married. It took John ages to be able to call me Marilyn.

ok finally found the picture of the lanyards we had on the December cruise

lanyard.jpg

Very nice.:thumbsup2

I have some sad news.....our friends Lucy and Bob and Lisa/LiserAnn's good friends, had to cancel this cruise. I'm so saddend that they're not coming. They are such nice and funny and good people. They will surely be missed. So if any of you have them on any of your lists, please cancel.

That's a shame.

Regarding where to eat at DTD.....you could do Wolfgang Puck's and sit outside....you could put some tables together and have privacy and a good conversation environment.....just a thought.

It was a good place to meet wasn't it Deb, and the food is good. But there may be too many of us for a CS location. Also it may be difficult getting a TS with folk being able to book 180 days out.

Marilyn-come join me in the laundry room and we'll comiserate over DODs!!!

:thumbsup2

so does this feel close to anyone besides me - or is it just because I am packing?

I hope to have all the essentials in my cruise box - including a SPARE TIE!

A spare tie?

I forgot about my door signs. DS10 will want to help with that. I guess we better get started. We also need to decorate our fish extender.

Oh no, I'm beginning to panic.

Perhaps.....IF I'd actually made it to Chili's tonight. :sad2: Peg called and wanted to go to Chicago Gyros...so that's where I ended up going.

I can't tell you how much I loved running.

For several years, I absolutely lived for it. I would run every evening, had a set route, pretty much across town from where I lived, and it was one of the best times of my life being able to do that. Always put me in a great frame of mind too. I was in the best shape of my life at that time.

Two things killed it for me . . . Law School - who has time to run with all that studying (I used to spend about 3 hours a day at the library studying) and playing football with those same buddies. My first year of Law school, I was playing football with those guys and got tackled by one of the biggest of them. I went one way, and my knee went the other. That is how I lost the ACL, MCL, and meniscus in my right knee. I was on crutches for several weeks, and after that running was not the same - my knee can't take it!

That is also why I am now very happy with this elliptical machine. Most of the fun of running without the banging stress on my knee. The only thing I really miss is the terrain, and being outside. The old basement just isn't as nice as being out in the open air.

I did 20 minutes tonight again, and was hungry all day to do it. I got in the door at home from work and told Amy to hold my dinner until I was done. Once you get started again (at least for me) your body starts to crave the exercise.

Could you set up a TV down in the basement?

John...

Another idea for a place that everyone may be able to get to is the GF cafe...it's pretty big inside and I think most people would be able to get to it pretty easily... Just take a bus to the MK and either the bus or the boat to the GF... has a nice menu too...

http://www.allearsnet.com/menu/men_gfcd.htm

I'm just thinking space wise to fit people. (and DTD outside may not be good if it rains...)

It's not listed on WDW site yet, but MK closes at 7 pm so I think there may be a P&P party that night and the fireworks would be great to see from the GF...

Just a thought...

I think there are a few here hoping to go to the P&P party. I was, but decided against it being the night before the cruise. It would be fun though. GF might be able to accommodate us.

Folks, I think we hit a daily record. This is our 33rd page of the day! :scared1: I remember in the beginning it seemed like there were about 12 pages a day to read and that seemed like a lot. I probably won't be able to be on here again until after Tyler's in bed tomorrow night, so give me lots to read please! I'm lovin' it! :yay: Goodnight all!:cloud9:

It's great, but I do have other things to do!!!:lmao:

Running Bear jumped into the water.
Little White Dove did the same.
As they swam out to each other through the swirling water they came.
As their hands touched and their lips met, the swirling water pulled them down
Now they'll always be together in that happy hunting ground.

Gosh that is scary that after so many years...too many to remember...I can instantly remember that song...that's what 12 years of GS camp will do to you. :)

Now I DO remember that song.

Three weeks today V.....and I had a very frustrating and stressful day.....I sooooooooo wanted a cigarette. I almost called Angie to tell her that I was going to the store on the corner. But I didn't go out and buy them so I didn't smoke. I just dealt with it. I'm still dealing with it tonight, but not as bad as earlier. I guess that's a good thing.

I'm at a place where I can't eat what I want, I can't smoke and I want to and recently I added the additional burden of being financially responsible for Ray and it's costing me an additional $1k/month......so I don't have extra money to spend like I used to........no eating, smoking, shopping.....all at the same time is very frustrating and stressful and it really hit me today and I just wanted a cigarette to destress over it all. As if that would make everything alright again. I know initially it would, but in the long term, it would not.

Thanks for asking V....I bet you didn't expect such a saga response.

Angie, any advice to make me stay honest throughout the day tomorrow too? I may be calling you soon.

Wow Deb you are doing so well. It must be hard not being able to eat goodies to help, but how fantastic - you are doing it!!! 3 weeks.:thumbsup2

Oh Deborah, I think so late they should allow you to take this holiday. I do u nderstand how upset you must be but try not to dwell on it. You will be there on the cruise.

I phoned Ian's friend to get the letter to proof it that my husband will be working over the summer holiday and cannot get off in summer. That is true.
Ian's Friend Dave will write a letter for me.

I am not cancel this holiday NO WAY.

Scottishwee35

I'm sorry, I know someone asked this already. Do you read lips? Or shall we just say hello with a smile and a big hug? :grouphug:
We can talking without our signs and we do lipread too. Alison and I love the music, we can pick some music and some words.

But my husband cannot speak very well as he is very popular with people at home!! He often write down.

I know what you're talking about Nan....I changed names too. Before I got married I used Debbie with a short maiden name. Then I got married and got a long last name so I shortened the first name and just use Deb now. Also, my initials with my maiden name spell my name DEB so that's what I use for my signature with my married last name. It can be confusing to some, but it works for me.

Before when you asked Deb if she was going to the Kennedy Space Center, I answered automatically.....then realized that you weren't asking me. I have to get used to that.
I was not sure if it was me or you lol.

I hate Debbie, I like called Deb or Deborah. All my life never like Debbie. I don't know why.

Think that was Deb. I find it easier to call Deb Deb and you Deborah!!!

We have a few Lisa's and I get a bit lost there.
