We're at POR for 3 nights before the cruise.

Yes, lots of Johns. John1, John2, GrumpyJohn and my John will be Little John!!! I think there are more too.

I never had a nickname apart from Maz from one person only when I was young, and just recently a friend's daughter calls me that.

John was called Mad Mitch and Gnome at college!!!! He was gnome when I first met him.

Those of us at WDW before the cruise, it is the Flower and Garden Festival at Epcot. I've never been but looking forward to it.

Good Morning

My son forgot give me the letter from his school.

I opened it and and it said that kids are not allowing to leave for May's holiday!!

I phoned the head teacher this morning and she explained that it is from Scottish Executive states taht permission for family holidays in term time can only be granted.

In the letter mention:

1. where the family holiday is important to the wellbeing and cohesion of the family, following Serious or terminal illness, bereavement or other traumatic events.

2. Where evidence is provided by an employer that leave cannot be accommodated during school Holidays without significatn conseqences.

As the holiday falls during term time, and as your request does not comply with these circumastances, it is not possible to approve the leave.

My husband is leaving his job in March and start new job with two self employer as they are his friend, they set up a new business last year and they were so busy and don't have time off for their holiday.

Head teacher advise me to ask new job to write and explain that my husband cannot get off in Summer holiday because he is working through the summer to give two friend to have their holiday.

Oh dear why it never smooth problem. No way we cancel our holiday!! As everything had been paid for.

So I will tell my husband to see his friend and write a letter to head teacher about new job.

I feel a bit upset this morning.

But I hope it is sort out soon.

I wonder about your kids, are they allowing off school in USA?

Just tell them that the dis said you had to go! I know you will be able to work it out. School's can be such a problem sometimes. Keep us informed!

What do you think Geeks? May be hard to get everyone in, and I am not sure when everyone is arriving either. Looks like the best options are DTD, or SSR. The other problem with SSR is that we would need a way to contact everyone to let them know where we are, so we would need contact info like cell phone numbers.

Could you set up a TV down in the basement?

There is a TV down there, but I prefer music. I hook my ipod up to the speakers on this new machine. I sure wish I would have had an ipod when I really used to run! The only problem is that I have a workout mix and I go too fast, the machine keeps telling me to slow down!

ok finally found the picture of the lanyards we had on the December cruise

I have been trying to figure out the correct size for the name tags and it seems that there are several different sizes of badge holders. This one says 2.25" x 3.5". I have checked the badge holder from our 11 Nites in Paradise
and they measure 3.0" x 4.5".

They should be big enough to hold our KTTW cards in which are 2.125" X 3.375".

Would whoever is in charge of the lanyards PM us with the size of the badge holders so we can work on name tags.

Well I guess I need to be impressed with th girls school....they teach them to wrote the alphabelt early on ---- but when I went to K - we played!!!! What happened to that?
Samantha has pc's in her class and she knows how to use them!

Kids don't get to play in Kindergarten anymore. They have to be able to read on their own at a level 5-6 and basic math as well. It amazes me how quickly the kids are learning some of this stuff.

well, if the LG wants to save me from drowning that would have been all I needed.....



ANYWAY

around 1 am....some voices were coming through our window loud and clear....Johnny looks up and itty bitty girl has huge suitcase squishing it into her sports car...not working. Lifeguard is APOLOGIZING profusely...we as nosey neighbors listeneing through the window don't know what for.....she finally gives in and goes back in the house.

Mr & Mrs Woody were sitting right next to me. But I don't think I met you two until after we ate and the table hopping began (and briefly in the lobby before dinner). And, once again, thanks for the ride back to our hotel!

Don't forget to mention the EDUCATIONAL aspect of passing through the Panama Canal!

OK...time to hit the shower and head on in to the office...though I am sorely tempted to take today off and get some chores done! Too much playing this weekennd...shirked my duties. Plus it will be slow today...Friday afternoon was dead quiet and NONE of our clients leap back into their work following a long weekend...hmmmmm, maybe I'll take the morning off...

nothing new here - everyone in the family has to have some portion uncovered....I would imagine it would be the same in the snow - this AM ---the girls were frozen but still had to have feet out with no SOCKS ON!

someone posted on our thread today that they called DCL today and they were staggering times....kind of bummed to hear about that!

OH...so someone at DCL CS line told them that? I wouldn't bank on that. How often are they right about things on special cruises? I would base it on history instead.

isn't it amazing? I mean, what about all the kids who don't go to preschool....how will they learn as quickly as the others?
