Actually, I just remembered....my Florida friends cruising with us (if they're still coming) mentioned trading off keeping both kids (their daughter and Tyler) a couple times. So that's an option for me too, if they don't cancel the cruise.

Unfortunately, she's older and will be in the lab. I suspect they might want to spend time together outside the club, but that's fine too because I love their whole family too, so it works!

I will definitely point out to him things on the navigator that he did last time and would probably remember and would want to do again because he enjoyed them last time. This time we know he wants to do the chocolate chip cookie making. And he wants to try the dinosaur dig (or is it whale bone dig?) at CC, as long as it's not too hot for him. We've never lasted more than 45 minutes on CC because he doesn't cope well at all with heat. Oh my gosh, you should have seen him when we went to Sea World when we were visiting our FL friends. He was excited and happy the whole car ride there because he remembered all his favorite things from last time that he wanted to see again. But about 30 seconds after getting out of the air conditioned car into the heat, he started whining and whined and cried the whole time at Sea World. Once back in the A/C, he was a happy kid again. Exact same result at CC and other ports.

Some people would say cruising is not the best choice for a kid like that, but he loves the actual cruise part of it so much, that's why we keep doing it! AND WE BOTH CAN'T WAIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh I totally understand - though I'm the whiner when it gets too hot. We only spent 20 minutes on shore in Grand Cayman and I had enough.

Imagine how much fun I was when I worked in the Mojave Desert for 18 months. My happiest day was the day it snowed!

We're having a Winter Storm here in San Diego today (they are totally calling it that on the news) Temps in the low 50s and it's raining.

So it is a good day to stay in and Dis. though I'm starting to feel like I should go do or something.

I gotta go get ready I have Phyiscal Therapy (or torture whichever works) and then come home for dinner and hopefully relax before having to hit the hay!

I did start my Cruise Blog for this cruise was trying to wait until after final payment day but I got excited and posted a start to it. Hopefully the internet on-board will work well enough to let me blog while on the cruise!

went to work this morning and then FINALLY went to get new glasses and contacts. Halleujah I can see again!!!!!!! unfortunately after my nap it's time to stick my nose in my GIANT textbook and get prepared for class tomorrow...

Oh my goodness, somebody woke up with the crabbies. Well, I'm off to distract him and make him forget he's grumpy. Probably a trip to McDonalds to play inside and have an ice cream cone. Yeah, sounds crazy when it's so cold, but he's got free coupons we're trying to use and had asked me earlier if we could go. We were about to earlier before he fell asleep.

Desert? NO THANK YOU! I have the same issues with heat and can't imagine doing that!

I do not like humid heat but I found desert heat is much easier to deal with.

Once it reaches 115 degrees it doesn't matter - it was like being in a furnace!

I prefer super cold over super hot.

For those of us doing the meal at Grills the night before, do you want to meet at say, 5:30pm. Is that a good time for everyone? I just want to be able to post it on our website, but we need to set a specific time. We'll make reservations and get a head count when it gets a little closer, but for now we can put it on the site.
