For you guys with little children....hold them tight...it just goes way too fast. And all of a sudden they are adults and on their own.

We were just saying today that DD is about to turn 5 just before the trip and the time has just flown by!
We decided in two weeks to go to NY and see Wicked and Little Mermaid.
We have to buy resale tickets....but they aren't too bad.
there's a little secret to know about theaters, the sound, staging, lighting, blocking is usually set up for the first row mezz. The first 10-20 rows are the worst in the house, but the most expensive. I toured about 200 theatres in the US and Canada with a broadway show and every one always felt guilty about the cost of the first few rows. After 10 years working in theater, we only buy the mezz... but we're really cheap too!

You probably have better seats than you think! We saw Wicked in Sept here in LA. At the end of the show I went straight to the box office and bought for another show.
Yes, I think it is fair enough to take anyone off the list who doesn't answer the PM as it would appear they aren't too interested anyway. If they come back latger then they can just be added again.
On our last cruise, Ken made some gorgeous lanyards with logo, name etc. He spent so much time trying to reach people who never went back to the disboards after signing up (which is why he never heard from them after he'd PM) Then he made them and people didn't show up to pick them up. He did a great job, but it was a huge job.
DCL is expecting a lot of movement with people cancelling by 2/9 and then joining in over the following month. So, give it some time and then knock off the ones who don't answer by 2/15. Save yourself the extra work.
I'm trying hard to keep a civil tongue over what's going on with MIL. I just can't understand the choice (or lack of choice) which is why Paul and I are going to try an Alanon meeting this next week.I've often wondered why my dad died when he didn't hard himself with drugs or booze, but MIL is still here dispite what she has done to her body. Sour grapes I know, and not kind on my part, but it just further explains how much I don't get this problem. backto catching up now...I think I have 8 more pages. Then we are off to the awards ceremony for Wilson's go-karting year. He doesn't know that he is getting a big trophy. It should be cool.
Keep looking forward and if the Alanon mtg. you attend doesn't strike you at first, try another location until you feel comfortable. You'll know in your gut what is right. You're in a tough place right now and have fallen into the position so many of us are in. The sickest person runs the show! I'm feeling for you and sending some pixy dust of encouragement.
Has anyone flown on Frontier Airlines???
Yes, and no problem.
I'm bumming the Golden Globes aren't going to be the normal show. I'm afraid the Academy awards will be cut down too!
(I know, I'm the only person left who likes these award shows...)
I miss them too. Many years ago I was a seat filler at the Comedy awards. Several years later, I owned a fantastic comedy club. Now so many of my friends are winning awards that I do like to see them stand up there or at least see their names in the credits. One of my old friends is the writer for the Oscars, so I feel for them.
A note about the book drop... The cove will take them for guests to read, but staff are not allowed to read them. So, we gave them to the staff as they don't get much opportunity to get out to buy books. Then they pass them around to each other. The other thing we did last cruise was to bring copies of DVD's to our stewards and you'd have thought we brought them gold. Even TV shows on DVD were loved. We brought about 20 DVD's that we had made copies of or show we no longer wanted to keep in our collection. It was very appreciated.
