We did it too, outside of Flagstaff Arizona. It was one of those rural areas where there was nobody else around. But kinda fun....

It was a little weird to read this post out of context (it was the first one I saw after I was taken to the post I just made). This is a pretty wild group so I wasn't sure what you might be referring to. I've spent the last couple of hours trying to catch up--still about 8 pages behind--maybe reading all the talk about "mouse bits" temporarily tainted my thinking!!!:rotfl2:

No mouse bit just "hand holding"....

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

If anyone is interested, here is a set of "Mickey" ears that, once put on paper with magnets, are really cute on either side of the round room number on your stateroom door.

Thanks for sharing!!! Such a cute idea!:goodvibes

I was standing somewhere in the middle of Jersey for it with my college roommates!

FINALLY caught up!:bounce:

I worked yesterday (substituted for a former colleague) and it just completely threw me off my schedule! ;) Tried to catch up last night but I was too tired to get to the end. Here's what happens when you read the cruise board right before falling asleep:

I had this really wild vivid dream that I was on the magic, cruising, only it didn't really look much like the Magic at all--much bigger and more spread out. After we set sail and the sun went down, suddenly the ship stopped somewhere out in the ocean. Someone came on the PA and told everyone to go look off the port side of the ship. Everyone went rushing over and we could see all these dolphins and whales everywhere--some of the whales were HUGE, much larger than life. The all of a sudden they were swimming in time with this music, then there was a big light show snychronized to the swimming! That's when we began to realize that they were all animatronics
and it was a show that DCL had created out in the ocean for the passangers! But wait, there's more. It was like the pirates deck party, with food stations set up, and the ship would go on a little ways then stop again for another show--there was a mermaid one, and one about a volcano erupting at sea, and another one with a big city skyline all lit up for the backdrop with all kinds of ships and boats sailing in front of it. I was thinking, "Wow, Disney has really gone all out!" BTW, it's not unusual for me to dream like this!:hippie: and no, I don't drink or smoke--anything. Who needs to???

I hated to wake up from that one! Unfortunately, I woke up feeling a little icky, which got worse as the day went on:sick: . Without going into graphic detail let's just say if my bathroom had a ship's rail, I'd be hanging off of it right now!:faint: Don't know where that came from but I hope it's just a 24 hr. thing!

Note to DCL execs--if you decide to use my dream as the basis for a new show, I want my cut!:cool1:

Good night, everyone!

yes, i am real greek. mom is pure and i'm a mix. but i grew up with all the traditions and all the food....

how about you and your friend john?

btw, noel said there are about six john's. one of which is her DH and one is my DH. we assigned them names: noel's DH is JB and my DH is grumpy john. should we name your friend greek john?

Tikanis! (a little phonetic greek for us!) I'm first generation American. My mom is 100% Greek and Dad is 100% Italian. I was married in the Greek Orthodox church (St. Paul's in Irvine, CA), although DH and I now attend a non-denominational, Bible teaching church. (DH was Catholic.) When I was 10 to 12 my mom and I moved to Athens where we lived with my yaya and papoo (more phonetics and for the non greeks...that would be grandma and grandpa). My grandparents have since died and left my mom and I their house on the island they're from, Chios. (My uncle got the Athens apartment.) Anyway, I would consider myself Greek primarily because I was raised with the church, customs, language of the Greeks.

John H. goes by Capt. Spanx...another story for another day (John you can explain that one:scared1: ).....

Good morning all!

My hubby is a John too and can be a bit grumpy, but Grumpy John as a name is already taken!!! What are we going to do with these grumpy John's.

Just Ask . . .

What is funny is that these are EASY to make!

I make mine in MS Word.

If you drop me a pm with your email I will email you sample files of my door magnets in MS Word. I have to tell you too though, that I "embellish" mine with Disney scrapbooking stuff - stick on characters and such. I have made some of them kind of "generic" so that I can use them cruise after cruise.

JOHN SCRAPBOOKS!:woohoo: (even if only on door signs)

Ok, I'll be good. :guilty: :scared:

Probably just as well. Adrienne just ordered 4 more Vera Bradley display cases for the store, and I still have to buy our plane tickets to Europe in September. Plus we just booked the Thanksgiving 2008 Magic cruise - going with some friends we've been trying to cruise with for years.

I saw on another thread were someone mentioned the Vera Bradley ID holders were great for KTTW cards.

I picked one up for DD to use with her College ID. She loves it. :)

I hope it is OK . . . I did it right away . . .

Royalty fees required?

(tired of seeing all of those "Captain Jack Reposession Logos" LOL)

Yes, Just make the check out to the Katie "Brat" College Fund. :rotfl:

Ok, part of the reason why my husband agreed to do this cruise was if we "gave up" our 15th anniversary trip (Jan 9, 1993 wedding date :bride: , was going to go to Hawaii). So instead of taking a trip in January just him and I, we are going to take the family on this. Hawaii would have been great but my husband is just starting his law firm so he can't take off too much. Anway, do you think May is way to late to do a celebration for our anniversary? I've been reading the renewing vows thread and that sounds like it would be really neat. Our kids would probably have fun seeing it. What do you think? Is it too late after the actual date? Thanks! Lisa

Not to late at all. DH and were married in Dec 1975. We celebrated our 30th on the Feb 2006 cruise. The holidays were too crazy with family and Feb was the earliest he could get a block of time off.

I say go for it!

Still no word on our friend. This has us a little concerned. Rumor has it that this may have been a VIP run. This would explain the delay in releasing the names. The DOD is listing the cause as Hostile, as opposed to nonhostile-mechanical.

Thanks for all your concern. :goodvibes

Now I'd pay double (yeah, right) for THAT cruise!

QUESTION: Where is Old Town Orange in relation to Disneyland...should I schedule a visit there next time I go to DLR? I might have some unused time share points and a long weekend visit to So. California is ALWAYS a good use of them. Patiently waiting to hear about a DLR DIS meet!

Those of you in the Charlotte NC area....turn towards Midland and wave to my brother! :wave2:
