It certainly does in my head, whenever I hear it! My DH and I think it could be used as a method of torture :rotfl:

Where's the strangest place you've ever heard the tune? My mother was such a Small World fan that the tune was played at the end of her funeral service :sad1:

My mom would have loved that too! She was a HUGE fan!! I miss her tremendously!!

Ok, part of the reason why my husband agreed to do this cruise was if we "gave up" our 15th anniversary trip (Jan 9, 1993 wedding date :bride: , was going to go to Hawaii). So instead of taking a trip in January just him and I, we are going to take the family on this. Hawaii would have been great but my husband is just starting his law firm so he can't take off too much. Anway, do you think May is way to late to do a celebration for our anniversary? I've been reading the renewing vows thread and that sounds like it would be really neat. Our kids would probably have fun seeing it. What do you think? Is it too late after the actual date? Thanks! Lisa

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: Yeah, yeah, I get the hint!

And I think the smaller one is too small. But I might use it anyway just to ease my fears. Thanks a ton! Goodnight!

My DD has Colonial Day at school tomorrow so I have to get apple pie and juice. Plus I have to find her something to dress up in.:headache: Good Luck to me.Talk to you guys later

Loved Colonial day! It was so fun to see everyone dressed up. I was official picture taker and helper at the cross stitch craft table. They did so many fun crafts from colonial times!

My DH also made a soup for the day and corn muffins! Yum!!

NOBODY'S going to believe this, but I'm headed to bed. Had a killer headache all day. Plus I need to be energized and fresh for a speed dating event tomorrow night after work! Those are SO fun! :goodvibes Good night everybody.

No I think what it means to you is the most important issue. If you are O.K. with it then go for it. My DH and I will be celebrating our 15th on June 19. Sounds like 93 was a good year.

Are you Greek too? (I said gReek, not geek :lmao: )

Ya know, DH and I used to go to movies and dinner for dates....now, after 50, we go to doctors and medical procedures together.....

while i was in the "procedure" room today....scared and hating it.....i closed my eyes and placed myself on the mickey ship with DH having early morning coffee on my balcony in room 5122 and then later going to the pool and having bbc's...

it helped.

yes, i am real greek. mom is pure and i'm a mix. but i grew up with all the traditions and all the food....

how about you and your friend john?

btw, noel said there are about six john's. one of which is her DH and one is my DH. we assigned them names: noel's DH is JB and my DH is grumpy john. should we name your friend greek john?

:confused3 :confused3 :confused3

That sounds so fun! Post a picture please! :)

Thanks. He was definitely a different kid tonight. Oldest DS always acts like that.:rotfl: I was afraid DS6 wouldn't sleep, but he did fall asleep at his regular time. DH got online and researched the side effects of the meds he's taking. It said it caused exciteability (sp?) in about 20% of kids and insomnia in a smaller percentage. I think excitable was an understatement. We'll see how he sleeps tonight, whether we have difficulty with nightmares.

I will be helping out tomorrow so I shall see what interesting things they will have me do. It will be fum. We ended up going to Goodwill to get her outfit and there was another girl from her class in there.

This is so cool. I love that you are doing this spur-of-the-moment. My DH travels constantly for work as well, but it has meant some great vacations for us with all his FF and hotel points. Hawaii in a month is going to be completely free except for food, and even some of that is taken care of thru Hyatt Regency Club--free breakfast and appetizers daily. Can't beat that. :woohoo: It almost makes up for his busy schedule.

We did the Regency on Maui, but had a better time with points from Starwood at the Royal Hawaiian on Oahu. I love the Hyatt but the Royal Hawaiian on Oahu was spectacular.

Greek John is John1. He always signs that way and all the Geeks (not Greeks, Geeks who love the Greek John1) refer to him that way. :)

Nope, just gives you an extra date to celebrate!! I think the idea of you showing your children how much you love each other by renewing your vows is priceless!!

now now, I had a snow day in 1976 in San Jose. Okay it wasn't a snow day since we still went to school but it did snow that day....anyone else remember?

Yep! Best day, but I think I recall it being on a Friday and we were driving to Tahoe that day!!! So we were so bummed to be playing at home and having to drive away and I can still hear my Dad saying "But there will be tons of snow so get in the car!" Lisa

On the way home from work today, actually had to turn on the AC in the car. It was in the mid 80's today. The girls wanted to swim, but the water is way too cold. Turned the spa on and heated to 84 and they had a blast!
