May 10, 2008 Ship of Thieves! Stealing the Magic..AGAIN!!! Panama Canal FL to CA!!! Part 2

We didn't buy the magnetic sheets, but bought little strips of magnets with adhesive on one side (like for craft projects) and cut them up. I'm guessing there's not a Michael's in your neighborhood? (I could send you some!) Didn't even put the magnets on until we were in our room. We, also, took plain white paper and let the kids decorate their own door sign with stickers and markers as an activity on the plane. (For all the work it took DH and I to make our door signs, the kids' received more comments!)

Heck we don´t have a Michael´s in my country, less alone in my neighborhood, lol.

And the don´t sell the little strips of magnets either, I guess people here aren´t that big on crafts (all the crafts that dd has, we bough at Lakeshore Learning in the US).

But that is another great idea.

We are going to WDW on april, but I won´t have a car, but we will go again in september, and I am definetly shopping in Orlando, so I must go to Michaels then, since with all 3 trip to plan (and pay for ) I don´t think that I can sneak a shopping trip to San Antonio or anywhere else.

Than you for you offer of sending some, that is really nice, but our mail is terrible, takes about 2 months for a letter or package from the US to make it here, if it arrives at all.

We'll remember not to send you cookies at Christmas! You should be able to find the magnets at any discount department type store, like Target, or maybe even bigger drug stores. Heck, our Albertson's has EVERYthing!

I’m using word to type responses now, since I’m about 24 pages behind!

I checked my reservation, but we’re still on for the late seating of dinner. Personally, I could be happy with either seating, but my grandparents aren’t happy about the late seating, with needing to take pills with food and not too close to bed and all that.


Holly- Sorry you stayed up so late! I’ve had nights like that!!

I can’t believe people got snow days! All we’ve had is cold cold COLD!

Seaulater- We saw construction going on at the Contemporary when we were there in December too.

Txsleepingbeauty- I’ll be making door signs for my group.

I’m probably going to fall really behind after tonight. I’m getting surgery tomorrow on my head, to have an odd cyst removed.

Regarding the door signs, I can have Katie make up the logo without the wording and you could add your own. Or she could add whatever you like and I can email the results for you to print out.

now now, I had a snow day in 1976 in San Jose. Okay it wasn't a snow day since we still went to school but it did snow that day....anyone else remember?

I remember, but our schools weren't closed. I have pictures of my sister and I playing in the backyard. My brother was jealous cause he wasn't born yet. Too bad to be the baby!

Also, when designing your door signs, it is a good idea to incorporate your room number or your first names into the design.

Cute generic designs have a tendency to disappear.

I think that they will assign you early seating if the cause is a medical reason.
