Holly - how do you think Tyler will do in the clubs? I can't remember - did he like them on your last cruise?

As long as it is the same size as airline approved carryons and doesn't contain ice, you should be okay.

16.5"h x 12.25"w x 10.5"d bag size and 16x10x24 is the carry on size for airlines. What do you guys think?

Holly....best of luck with everything with Tyler. I hope you and his father can come to an agreement (well, dad opens his eyes and sees what is really going on) over treatment for him soon so that he can learn to gain control of his life again!

I just printed my Cruise Contract and Medical Forms...I forgot that medical allergy form has to be sent in 14 days before the cruise. Note to any other food allergy people...don't forget! 36 days until sailing...OMG!

Cork - I'm going to do the personalized one - and take it with me to get the Captain to sign it.

Love the new countdown clock----I thought that it was appropriate for this cruise and almost did that myself!

I love the idea of getting the Capt to sign.

I also loved your new countdown and went to the site. You get all the credit for my new countdown. :goodvibes

I posted this yesterday but no one responded. Can we take this first rolling cooler as a carry on with wine in it? I thought you couldn't bring coolers on the ship.

I always hear conflicting info on this....

Connie - can you answer this one?????

Thanks for the reminder. I wanted to resend ours.....just to be sure they have it, as Nancy has an anaphylactic reaction to sulphites (preservative in seafood and a by-product of fermentation) and MSG

We've asked for a table to ourselves because the last time we sailed, the wait staff did such an outstanding job at protecting her, the other couple at our table felt slighted as they did not fully appreciate that she could die in minutes if she reacted to her food. and they let their displeasure be known to the Head Server and in their lack of tips to the wait staff.

Hi Everyone, I am still alive, just running my kishka's off. I think I am now about 200 pages behind on this thread so if anything interesting has happened or there is something I should know about, please pm me with the details or the page # for me to look up.

Holly, Your ex may never see the course that you must take to help Tyler. Mine never did and I finally just had to tell her "either get with the program or get out of my way!" Bottomline is do what you need to do for your son. You have my support and if you ever have any questions I can help with, PM me.

Ok, I am off to work again and I hope by the weekend I can try to catch up. Wait until you see the boys in their new suits on the curise! WOW!

I was doing pretty well at keeping up and today I am hopeless....

I have a sulfite allergy as well. Don't you just love, that it is a preservative in epi pens. :scared1:

Order of the ditch certificate

Could some kind person please PM me with where you order these from?

And other helpful information - much appreciated.

Pj...how long ago did you order? I can't decide if I try and order them now with no captain's name and bring them on board or wait and order them when we get home.
Thanks!

About two weeks for delivery. I am going to see if he will also print his name under the signature line. Under the signature line it says Commanding, hopefully under that he will print his name. There was something on the site abotu the electonic signatures of Captains;

"Add $25.00 (one time flat fee) for Commanding Officer's signature printed on personalized orders. A signature in black ink on white paper is required. We cannot guarantee signature quality when a FAXed copy is used. Original/hard copy produces best results."

I thought I would wait and have the captain sign it himself.

Luckily, one of our tablemates has some of the same allergies as my daughter. On our last cruise she rarely came to dinner, but our waitstaff was awesome. Fully preparred for her in case she decided to join us. I need to get a new epi pen..and I always carry benedryl so if anyone needs any..you know where to find it!
Tays been getting hives the last 3 nights...I had my neighbor check the trees..she's allergic to olive trees a mainstaple in california..but we have none in the area. Then last night she came home with them, took a benedryl and told me she didn't want dinner yet (she was still playing) cause she just had a snack...my AHA moment. She was eating nutri grain bars at the neighbors house...duh..they have soy, which she is allergic too. So no more eating those. What a dork!

2 letters she told us everything...NO

no story
no fun
no party
no no no no no

Did I tell you I often break out in my theme song "No No Nanette" ????

Ha! I just did the lighting for this show a couple of summers ago. After hearing it over 2 months and 10 performances... it makes me twitch :lmao:

I remember one night Nancy was helping Liam cut through some bbq'd ribs, and before her arm returned to her plate the server grabbed the knife and gave her a new one....just a momentary lapse in concentration....that was close

I must admit I nicked her three times when she first discovered she was alergic.....red wine at dinner.....orange brandy flavoured coffee.....and cooking sherry in some stirfry.....

only one was really bad.....and that was before she had the epipen and the medic alert bracelet

we are always very surprised what they put sulphites in.....french fries, dried fruit, anything with wine or alcohol in it...salad bars....processed foods...instant potatoes

Have to check that out as Nancy has to have hers renewed before the trip..

I am currently working at Health Canada on contract and here is a great link for you

http://www.hc-sc.gc.ca/fn-an/securit/allerg/fa-aa/allergen_sulphites-sulfites_e.html

I've printed it out and will be handing it to our wait staff and anyone else who has questions about it

Thanks, I hadn't seen that one. I have
