I personalized except for the Captian's name, since I did not know it at the time. It does look really nice, I went with the modest version of the mermaids.

The company even put a handwritten note in the box wishing me a wonderful cruise.

Does it look quite safe to pack? What size is it?

Marilyn, I have done the mix and match entree before, I think I asked for the plain salmon, then the brussels (baby cabbage) from another dish and the potatoe from another dish. William was cool with it, but then I got a little too green to eat, but he was already to put it together for me.

I think we are more clued up this time. John had a couple of evenings when he didn't want anything rich or fancy and had the lighter option. One was chicken, baked potato and veg. It was just so dry without a sauce/gravy/butter!! He did ask for butter for his baked potato but I don't think he really enjoyed that meal.

41 pages to catch up on, so I'll have to wait and catch up tonight after work. Might read a couple pages on and off during the day, but very busy, so might not be able to. Plus I have to leave early anyway for the IEP meeting at Tyler's school. :yay:

I'm glad this has happened so quickly. He's been in trouble at school every day this week. My phone call today at work informed me that he smashed his friend in between the wall and a puppet stage. Then about 1/2 hour later he cut his own hair. I know all kids cut their hair, so I don't care about that, but am sad that he had 2 incidents in one day. :sad2:

The OT yesterday was the 3rd Dr. to mention meds. She says from her experience in treating lots of different kids over 20 + years, she feels Tyler needs a combination of OT, behavioral therapy, and meds....all three in order to get the help he needs. She feels that in his current state, he won't make it past the first month of 1st grade. :scared:

And of course, I'm sure you all guessed, his dad still doesn't buy it. I can understand if all 3 doctors were telling us something different, but to have ALL THREE tell us the same thing.....what does the man need? A NEON SIGN? :headache:

sorry to vent, I know we all have kid issues, so I don't mean to blabber about stuff many others deal with just fine. just venting here. Stressed after arguing with his dad about this last night. :guilty:

Wow...that sucks. I hope that you get the treatment started before the cruise. It would be nice for both of you if Tyler is able to handle the transition and work with the counselors on board. So both of you can have a fun and restful vacation. It would be terrible if he acted up at kids club, like school and daycare, and was told he couldn't be in kids club. Can you ask his dad to "see" if the meds would help. I mean, what would it hurt to try the doctors suggested course of action. If it doesn't work, then he'll be right and you can look at alternative solutions. I feel for you, I don't have these problems with tays dad because he has no legal custody over taylor...so my word goes! I would be just as frustrated as you if I didn't have that ace in the hole. Her dad disagrees with me on many treatment options with tays allergies etc. BUT he has no choice. I wonder what would happen if you started tyler on the treatment? Would his dad not continue? I hope that you can work this out, after all it's all in Tyler's best interest.

I posted this yesterday but no one responded. Can we take this first rolling cooler as a carry on with wine in it? I thought you couldn't bring coolers on the ship.

As long as it is the same size as airline approved carryons and doesn't contain ice, you should be okay.

Liam is 9 and not really into the motion rides...he inherited that from me...but he is really looking forward to the lego stores....

They have a lego store in Downtown Disney that is way better than the ones in lego land. The rides may be perfect for him because the kid actually does the work. For example they peddle around the tract so they can go as fast as they want. There is a really good one that you go up in the air but you are pulling yourself up.

Thanks Pj. :thumbsup2

My son, Cameron (10), goes once a year on a homeschooling day (just a few dollars). He has enjoyed it the last couple of years. He was able to do more of the interactive type stuff. Your son should have a great time.

Joseph

Thanks

We are lucky enough to homeschool Liam full time, so everything we do is an educational experience for him

what is up with the shots? I thought the only shots needed would be flaming and drinkable?

omg, DH told me yesterday he's hoping for triplet boys.....I doubled up on the pill!
?

:lmao: :lmao:

I agree with you V, the only shots I am thinking about are the drinkable kinds! :cool1:
And, if that isn't a line for the TF, I don't know what it, :lmao: :lmao:

We know the store at DTD very well....that's why we are bringing two foldable bags with us on the trip:lmao:

thanks for the tips about the rides...now that sounds perfect for him

Pj...how long ago did you order? I can't decide if I try and order them now with no captain's name and bring them on board or wait and order them when we get home.
Thanks!

I have two friends that have kids with special needs. One is really bad and has to be in special day classes and the other just has severe ADHD. Neither could read befoe they started the meds (one in 2nd grade the other in 3rd). If you went through OT and nothing works, he needs the meds. It is a hard decision to make but the day you start you will wonder why you ever waited.

:cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

I got an email today from my TA because she is going on vacation next week and wanted to make sure all was ok and here is what she said....

I did check on your documents; they've just starting processing that cruise so there are some that have been sent out already, but when I called yours had not been done yet. It may be another couple of weeks before you see them. Just in case you had friends who were getting theirs and wondered about yours - I've never quite figured out the order they process them in!

So, that guess for April 17 might have been a bit too late:yay: I can't wait!!!!

As many have said 5 Weeks from this moment I should be checked in and on my way to "Mombo's" on the beach for my first Vacation beverage :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

P.S. sweety I have a new cell number for Sandy and texted her a birthday wish.

I haven't had time to go back and read the last 20 pages, but has anyone posted that ATA has ceased all airline operations and filed bankruptcy, effective immediately?

One of my colleagues is in San Diego at a meeting, called me just now and she was going from San Diego to Phoenix and meeting her husband in Phoenix (he was going from Salt Lake to Phoenix) and then they were flying ATA from Phoenix to Maui.

They are now stuck, no airline reservations, and have their condo booked and everything!

I'm trying to find her some great deal to get over there but thought I'd better post in case anyone is going ATA to Florida (I'm not sure if they fly there or not). In any case, go to ATA's website and it explains what to do if you are booked on their airline.

How horrible. Per the webpage they aren't even really giving refunds, you have to do the work to get your money back. Hope you can help them. Hopefully no one here has planned on flying with them.

Another airline did the same thing last week, here is what the webpage now state:

Sorry...
After more than 60 years of serving Hawaii

Aloha Airlines is no longer operating

Whats up with all these airlines going bankrupt? I hope everyone on this board is not affected

About ordering the "Order of the Ditch".

Have you, or are you, ordering blank or personalized?

Cork - I'm going to do the personalized one - and take it with me to get the Captain to sign it.

Love the new countdown clock----I thought that it was appropriate for this cruise and almost did that myself!
