I can tell you from experience (I did DCL reservations from 11/04-10/05) that WE (res agents) were told many different answers to the same questions. At times it did seem like the left hand didn't know what the right hand was doing.

I do know that what I was told about gty status rooms is that you may be assigned a room up to the day of departure.

Hi Monica

You mean I won't know the room nos until 10 May?? If so, I am not happy with it.

It doesn't mean that you won't find out before hand, but that it is always possible to not know.

I do know that DCL doesn't/didn't like to send out docs w/o a room number (if at all possible)

Canadians have to have a passport that is valid for a full six months after arrival in Mexico, and Cabo is 2 days after that date for me, so sad.

Pj

After your last post I went and checked a few things out and found a pretty decent website for us Canadians:

www.voyage.gc.ca

Pretty cool in that you can check each country out and get a pretty detailed report on the happenings for tourists.

Oh yeah and I checked out Mexico's requirements and it says:
"Canadians are not required to carry a passport to enter Mexico. However, in order to avoid delays and misunderstandings, we strongly recommend that you travel with a passport valid for six months after your arrival date. It is the only universally accepted identification document, and it proves that you have a right to return to Canada. A lost or stolen passport is also easier to replace when outside of Canada than other evidence of citizenship."

So technically, you don't need to update your passport because Aruba only says you have to be valid for 3 months after departure. But I think I wouldn't chance it. ;)

A shuttle? That's not what their ad says "They'll pick you up", and it intimates a personal ride in the car you chose. Sheesh ;)

Well, it does say "if you need a ride, we'll pick you up" on my email confirmation, but when I spoke to Armando, the manager, he sure didnt' sound too crazy about that idea. but it really is VERY close to the port, and if several of us are going at the same time, a shuttle would probably be ok. Their prices were better than Budget, the only other one I checked.

Thank you Connie. I have been avoiding doing this because I don't have my "paperwork" folder organized yet and I was afraid I would lose it all. Can all this be printed and done just right before you leave or does it help DCL at all to have it done earlier?

Thanks!
I did mine and printed them out, they are in my travel file. Although, mine is probably much smaller than yours. Other Dis'ers are right, though. You must print them out 3 days before you sail. It is much easier for the person checking you in to have them instead of asking you to fill out the ones in your booklet.

I am WAY behind. Not done with Thread 7, read none of Thread 8 and only 14 pages of this one.

If someone has answered already, could you please post again and I will try to follow from here on? Or PM me?

What is the web address for the place where you ordered pins for trading?

THANKS!!

Jan :earsgirl:

Quoting myself to say THANKS to PJ, pahrumpgirl and Nskjerven who PMed me with the mousepins.com address. If others posted the address here, thanks to you too.

Also to give you all an update by copying what I wrote Nan and pasting it here:

I have been BUSY!!

I have got to update my CPR and review is harder to focus on than I thought. I have bimonthly updates to do on my clients so deadlines to meet there. A couple other organizations where reading and writing are concerned and time slips away before there is any time to DIS.

Also some stress over what do we do with Mother, who is in a hospital with pneumonia and dehydration, while my brother is touring Australia. The MD says she will be discharged to her Alzheimer's community when she is well and not to worry. YAH, RIGHT

So, several phone calls to siblings and prayers asking God what should I do yesterday. Final decision is I am to do nothing. My sister and her friend are driving today and tomorrow from Alabama to keep Mother company, stay in the house where we grew up and when Mother is better, drive her to Alabama until my brother gets back. I will be on call for moral support and information as I am more medically trained than she. She is a mother hen, three of her chicks are out of the nest so she has the space and the temperament to deal with it all.

Back to studying for CPR.

Connie---which one???? I should go over there! I went to the one at Osceola Mall last friday and got 2 tops and a dress for $31.

It sounds like you got quite a good deal on 2 tops and a dress for $31!
I went to the OUTLET on OBT. It's on the right hand side about 3-4 stoplights north of the 417. I thought they had a pretty good selection.

And guess what! Our of all I bought, the swimsuit is the only thing I don't like! And that's what I went in for! :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Except if you have a bunch of people linked to your reservation, and then it is 32 pages long! I didn't notice for the Med. cruise and printed out for everyone instead of just me and Robert!!!!

But Adrienne appreciated it! That scramble to get her on the ship one week before sailing was crazy. I wonder how many other people have booked ta cruise 7 days before sailing from Disneyland ?
