They are shockingly roomy inside. I had to pull the seat forward when I test drove it (and no, I am not the Travelocity gnome).

For my driving style and living in the city, it's a good little car. There was a lot of debate over the cargo space, but I figured, stacked, I can get 8 bags of groceries in the bag.

Plus, the passenger seat folds down flat to make more room.

Push come to shove, I figured I can alway leave Sukie by the side of the road. The walk home would be good exercise.

.

I just laughed out loud when I read this! :rotfl: :lmao: :rotfl2:

Anyone want to meet me here for some Rosa Regale and chocolate souffle?

ME!!!

Yes, I read yours and thought "Oh how awful" - I'm far enough away from it now that I feel for other people when I see the wild fires on TV. We had a bad run of them here this fall. I came very close to having a house full of displaced Dis families staying with me. With your style of fire, often you are waiting for the news, with mine it just happened in 30 seconds flat. I don't know which is worse?

OK quoting myself now... It was a long time before I could go through the fire section of POC without getting freaked out.

Oh, I SO know what you mean....ours happened quickly for a wildfire, but I dont know how you cope when it is quick as yours...a fire had been burning about 10 kms away for a couple of days, but one bad day we went from not really thinking about it to house exploding around us in about 30 mins. We beat ourselves up for years for not having the foresight to save our things whilst we had the chance, but hindsight is 20/20 isn't it....

To this day, I freak out when I see smoke in the sky (Sydney does a lot of hazard reduction burns in the off season), and as for rides with fire - i'm right there with you!!! I went through a volcano ride at Sea World here in Australia a couple of years later, and they nearly had to rescue me!!!

We have family in San Diego and we were so frightened for them with the last fires. Fortunately, they didn't have any trouble, but it seemed so huge I couldn't imagine what everyone was going to do...so nice of you to offer to take people in...that sort of kindness is what got me through too!
