We go every year (except this one). Eat before you go. You can enter the park at 4 pm. Do it. We usually get there around 5 only because we always run late getting our costumes together. We have a down-time day (usually resort/pool), eat a late lunch, and get dressed.Curious what people do eating wise at MNSSHP. Do you use quick serve restaurants so as to avoid too much downtime during the party? Or do you take the time for a sit down meal? I know many don't eat at all during the party to maximize party time and others use the dessert parties. We plan on quick serve in order to maximize ride time.
Keep in mind, once the party starts officially at 7, a lot of restaurants stop serving, so you'll need to plan ahead with options/menus. They are listed on the event website. Do not do a table service meal. Food at MK is 'meh' at best, nothing there is worth sitting and wasting valuable ride/park/parade time.
Our favorite (and least painful) quick service meal is Pinocchio Village Haus. They have decent flat breads and we usually get a cesar salad (dressing on the side!) and tomato soup (great for dipping the pizza!) and everyone is happy. Fast and easy and definitely mobile order if possible. Insider scoop/pros: it has a ton of seating inside AND a second floor most people don't realize is there. If lucky, you can sit watching everyone load onto It's A Small World (and no you don't hear the music lol). Also, there's a secret book in there you can write a wish in. Fun for the kids to look for and do.

I hope this helps. The food during the event is lack luster and the desserts are basically clumps of sugar. Otherwise, we LOVE MNSSHP, just not so much the dining/snacks/desserts.
