Auspicious August 2025 W.I.S.H. Thread

I am thankfully that DD is doing better and that my work is so flexible. I was so out of it yesterday. I don't think I have had this kind of exhausting since the kids were born. I ended up taking PTO yesterday and slept almost all day. Then DH gave the 3:30 am meds so I got a full nights sleep to. I am really feeling back to myself.

Nothing going on this weekend. Just going to take it easy.

I am thinking (with fingers crossed) that I'll be able to get out and do something summery this weekend. After 4 weeks sitting on the couch I think my body has forgotten how to walk, so a visit to the nature preserve would be good. The pots on the deck are in need of refreshing, so a stop at the nursery should happen. Maybe a nice drive somewhere... just anything that gets me away from the apartment.

Sorry for my delay in posting. I usually do it the night before, but I could barely keep my eyes open. This morning, I had to go for bloodwork in preparation for my annual physical on Tuesday which threw me off.

It's a beautiful day. We have an appointment at noon, and then I plan on enjoying the pool and hopefully relaxing outside in our gazebo with the lightning bugs this evening.

Have a wonderful summer Saturday!

HI, all - sorry for being missing all week - just coming off a crazy busy stretch here.

Anyway, it's Motivation Monday!

What is motivating you to go against the wind this week?

It was another low-energy-do-nothing weekend... ugh. I dream of the day I wake up and think "man, do I feel great!"

So I guess the headwind I am working against, yet again this week, is getting healthy. I'm going to stop the antibiotics at the 7-day mark, which is tomorrow, because they have been pretty tough on my system and I feel like they've done what they can/should. Happily the Allergist my Dr. referred me to is on the Aetna list, so I'll call today to see how quickly I can get in.

Next week is vacation, and I am so glad I chose just going down to the ocean for a couple days. Gets me out of the house, and I have total control over what I do or don't do. Even if I need to rest in the hotel room, I can be looking out at the beach, seeing and hearing other things.
