Mrs. Woody just returned from LAX, picking up friends from England. The flew British Airways out of the new terminal at Heathrow, and the plane arrived without any checked luggage for any of the passengers. They were not happy bunnies.

The grand opening of Terminal 5 has been a complete fiasco. An embarassment to BA and the UkK in general, and upsetting for the many hundreds of folk who had flights cancelled or delayed or who didn't get their baggage!

Nan, glad you had such a HAPPY BIRTHDAY.

I was in and out yesterday and kept forgettingflower3: ) to post wishes. It sounds like you have hada great time.

Went out after posting, then when I came back I saw all the pics of Nan's birthday meet and realised I had missed about 5 pages I didn't go back to read. after posting one lot of replies. Being 60 is no fun - many more senior moments.

Has anyone stayed at Caribbean Beach....the pool will be closed before our cruise....should I stay here? I have never stayed at this resort and have always wanted to.....

Would rather stay at Boardwalk....but not available all weekend...

The Old Port Royale feature pool will be under refurbishment from Jan 7 through mid-September 2008. There are six other pools available, and waterslides for children are being added at the Barbados and Jamaica village pools. In addition, enhanced children's recreation activities will be offered during the refurbishment.

Lisa I posted about the room rates, this the email from my TA. The rates are for 3 nights beginning May 7th. Boardwalk must have sold out.

Disney released a room only discount for your travel dates today, Disney is advising that the Polynesian is not available for your travel dates.

I looked at the resorts that you could be picked up by Disney Cruise Line to be taken to port and found the following available with the discount

Please note the following prices are just quotes
Animal Kingdom Lodge Standard View would be 621.00

The following resorts that Disney Cruise doesn't pick up,
Boardwalk Inn Standard View would be 941.64
Contemporary Garden Wing - Garden View would be 925.00
Contemporary Tower Bay Lake View would be 1145.00

Wilderness Lodge - Courtyard View Bunk Bed - room would have 1 queen bed and a set of bunk beds would be 891.00

I know we have talked about the History Channel's Modern Marvels show on the Panama Canal but has anyone seen the NOVA one? It is called: A Man, A Plan, A Canal, Panama and is hosted by David McCullough, the author of the Path Between the Seas. DH and I got the DVD and watched it last night. It is a very good synopsis of the book with videos, etc. Made me want to go all that much more.

I'm alive and well, no worries! Howdy everybody! No internet at home. I'm tired of AT&T not working. It's not the fault of the DSL service, it's my old phone line in the house, so I'm going to just cancel. It's great when it works, but if the weather isn't dry and sunny, it doesn't work. We've had rain for a couple days, so no internet for me. Sure, it's very, very cheap service, but not worth paying for only being able to use it sometimes. SO....for a while, I'll just be checking while at work and if I have time to go to the public library to use their computers on the nights Tyler is gone.

I'm like that with any form of alcohol. Have tried all sorts but finally realised it's the actual alcohol I don't like the taste of. Can't stand it even in chocolates or desserts.

So I would say that I'm a cheap date, except DH says ounce for ounce Coke is more expensive than beer.

This sounds like me. I don't like the taste of alcohol either, in anything. My DH says the same thing about coke and beer but the he drinks far more beer than I drink coke so ...

we like CB, but it is spread out.

Found a pin online that I will HAVE to get when I am in DL. Website says it will be released in DLR on April 18, 2008. No mention of limited edition"ness". Now I don't trade pins but this one is a MUST get for me.

I have to get that for Haley...she is always left out due to not being tall enough and she has a crying fit.

I'm goint to make some zero point soup today - carrots, swede, onion and courgette, with veg stock. It does help but I get bored woth it. I did have a great WW butternut squash soup recipe that had a few spices in it, but it is lost.

Jackie, I SOOO wish I could do the April 19 DISmeet! Rats! But the cruise will be here before we know it!

No worries! I know I'll be procrastinating so much, I'll need that weekend to wrap up more details for the trip.

Well, no sneezing or coughing yet this morning, but I've been sitting quietly drinking tea and DISing (and may still have some Nyquil in my system)....might be a whole different story once I exert myself! Should be a quiet day at work, one boss still out and mostly just paperwork to catch up on.

Total weight loss as of this morning.....SIX pounds.
Goal for this week: REMEMBER to take my vitamins and supplements EVERY day.

Goodmorning all, Another busy day here... it's crunch time since I have a lot of business to do before leaving and I leave for this trip in less than a month! I have a ton of lanyard printing to do and my printer is making some strange noises.

Well, I wandered into the TV room and lost an hour watching some dolphin stuff. The food network also has the Disney princess cake challenge on now, so I'll want to mosey back in there to see the finished cakes before it's time for Jane Austen.Think I'll be dosing up on some Nyquil tonight...the nose blowing is getting pretty intense!.

I tivo'd both of those last night even though we've already seen the princess cakes. I've been watching for the Villian challenge that PJ mentioned a while back.

Is everyone that is going to the April 19th meet going to the parks that day too?

No, not in the daytime too much business to do that day, but after we will go in and watch the swing dancers and leave after the fireworks.

And I must go get this pin that day!

Daniel's best friend who is a girl....just found out she got into University of VA. She had a 4.2 GPA and was wait listed at Willaim and Mary...can you imagine??

Well UVA is closer to TECH than W & M is....so I am happy!!

I think one day they will get married...they have been such good friends for years. Daniel took her to the Prom....maybe she will ask him to take her to her Prom.
