I'm stressing trying to figure out outfits for the boys. I went to Hanna Andersson today and got matching bathing suits/suit top and light weight sweatshirt. And it was over $400!! For bathing suits! I have been searching on the web for matching outfits that aren't that much and not having any luck. The photo I posted was shirts I got on sale at Macy's. It is always a hit and miss to try to find all sizes in something cute and cheap. I suppose I could give up on the idea of matching outfits, but I so love seeing them all matched up! Plus, it makes it easier not to lose them!

My story is very similar to yours...my father died at age 60 (I was 32 at that time) and it made a huge impression on me in regards to how quickly life can change without notice. My brother was 53 when he died a year and a half ago. I suddenly realized a few days ago that I'm almost the age my mother was when she became a widow (59); I'd already been contemplating that I'm close to the age of my dad when he died.

My mother always encouraged me to do things and have fun whenever I had the chance. Her motto was: Fifty years from now, will you be sorry you spent the money or glad you didn't let the opportunity pass you by? It helps me put things in perspective![/quote]

Gotta love that motto. I think I will start and live by that one. I was diagnosed with MS in 2000 and my brother in 2001. My brother has gone down hill so quickly to the point where he can't do much for himself and is in a wheelchair. However, I have been blessed with a miracle and no major effects other than the first symptoms. That certainly changed my outlook on life and I will now live it to the fullest so that I don't leave this earth with any regrets. We are cruising and loving it and fifty years from now, I will not be sorry I spent the money but I will be glad I didn't let the opportunity pass me by. We are making such wonderful family memories in the process.

Take care and live life like you have never lived it before and dance like nobody's watching.

He set up a table at the ports to sell to DCL passengers, and others in his group were selling on eBay.

We're officially back from MIL's and FIL's!!! YEAH!!!!! We basically survived!!! And are SO glad to be home!!!!

I can't believe you're already 90+ pages into a new thread!!!! Boy you guys are fast!! Anyways, let me know if I missed anything exciting!!!

Back from celebrating Ray's birthday. Here's a pic of him and all of us......Ray, me, John and the kid DS.

We all had a great time.....we went to a steak and seafood place and we all had one or the other or both. Then we went back to my house and had ice cream birthday cake because Ray loves his ice cream. We let him take the remainder of the cake with him back to Mrs. Bush. We told him he could eat it everyday all by himself or he could share it with friends. He said, I'm eating it, it's all mine! It's amazing how the elderly revert back to being little kids. I feel like I have a child to care for with him......except he's old enough to drink so he had a Sombraro with his dinner and he loved it.

We told him we would put the pics of his birthday in frames and put them up in his room for him. He was very happy about that. All's well that ends well.

It looks like he had a great time! How nice of you to do that for him.

I'm one of 6 siblings, and we were 5 girls and 1 boy! I love having so many sisters. We are in the big debate right now about having more children...debate with ourselves that is, not each other. I was just talking to my DH about it this morning...I said if someone where to come to our house and bring us a baby this morning with a baby and say here you go - he/she is yours. I'd be so excited! I would grab the co-sleeper from the attic and feel like it was Christmas. But then some days, with all the homework and birthday parties (3 this week-end), baseball games (only 2 today - starting next week it will be 3 every Saturday), and I just can't figure out how my parents did it having 6 under 8 years old. We all did sports and everything. My mom said it was easier back then driving kids around as more people did car pools and no one was stressed about car seats/seat belts. I hate asking people to help with driving the kids.
Anyway, I'm sure we will figure it out soon...

After returning from lunch with Peg, I decided to avoid doing my taxes by playing in my closet and trying on shirts. I now have a section of OK to wear and a section that is "stand up only" ....the old pucker when you sit down problem, you know. Looks like I need to walk off another inch (or two) in the next six weeks! AND wear them at the beginning of the cruise.

Now I'm wondering if it's too late to take a nap......

I know just what you mean!! I am thinking to buy what I need this week, then I can lose some weight before the cruise and then when I put weight on I will be what I am today and these clothes will still fit!!

most of mine are lie down only! and then cover up!

Some of mine don't even do the lie down bit!!

I would love one more and my DH and I have talked about it but our lives are very busy now with all of the activities our younger children are in as well as my job and cruising that I think we will just continue to feel very blessed with what God has given us.
