hi guys drive by post again...

We are in snug as a bug in a rug in our room at the Paradise Pier, we upgraded to the park view room, for an extra $20 a night, well worth it.

.....
Hope all is well with everyone here, I'll try to get back and catch up soon.

N

Sounds like a great time!:cool1:

Apple's phone support (I spoke to someone in California not India) was great!

.

It seems to be luck of the draw who you get to talk to when you call Apple Tech Support. Nearly everyone I've gotten from India was so hard to understand that I asked them to transfer me to someone else. The ones in Canada are good, too.

Well good morning Ian. I don't think I understood anything in your post apart from the barking dogs, speaking to someone in California instead of India, and doing a test drive!!!:lmao:
:lmao: :rotfl2: :rotfl:

OH BY THE WAY.....have I mentioned I've lost FIVE pounds! I'm shooting for another 12 by cruise day. :thumbsup2

.
:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

That's usually what I do call it. But had you seen me on the Hertz website trying to pull up my Budget reservation number....well, that was pretty dim. :lmao:
.

Jackie, I know I've done almost the exact same thing, but at the moment (senior moment?) I can't remember the details...:lmao: :lmao:

I have been looking at what I am going to pack. I think I am going to end up with a very boring wardrobe.

Shorts- white, black, khaki, and navy blue (maybe)
Pants- black, linen color
skirt-black, white
cropped pants- white
Semi Formal dress
2 Formal dress

Tops will be one area of color. Mexican theme, pirate theme, tropical theme
Green linen, light blue stripe, coral, white, light blue pattern, blue and green checked.

If it weren't for the newly purchased coral top, I'ld be in a blue and green rut.

I haven't completely chosen my clothes yet, but I know I'm going to be basically wearing turquoise/aqua the whole time. Keep it simple!:thumbsup2 I also figure that nearly every sea day I'll be wearing a bathing suit w/cover-up or shorts so I'll only need "real" clothes for dinner. I did just realize today that my Crocs would take up a LOT of room to pack :scared1: , so I guess I'll have to limit myself in that department!

DGD is much better. We expect she will be discharged from the hospital this morning. We visited with her yesterday and she felt well enough to go to the art session they have for the hospitalized children. She spent almost and hour and a half there before she got too tired and needed to go back to her room and rest. We all did some paintings with her.

Great news!:goodvibes

I'm sorry that you have lost your friend, Steve. :grouphug:

And I agree wholeheartedly with your words.

I began to think that way 13 years ago when my DM died, aged 63. I was so glad she'd taken the opportunity to enjoy life, particularly several WDW and other vacations in her last few years, instead of waiting for a 'later' which never came.
This thinking was reinforced when my DSis died suddenly last year, aged 55.
And now even more so, with my DBro having also died at 55, after a lengthy illness.

I'll worry about tomorrow if it comes, but enjoy today while it's here.

My story is very similar to yours...my father died at age 60 (I was 32 at that time) and it made a huge impression on me in regards to how quickly life can change without notice. My brother was 53 when he died a year and a half ago. I suddenly realized a few days ago that I'm almost the age my mother was when she became a widow (59); I'd already been contemplating that I'm close to the age of my dad when he died.

My mother always encouraged me to do things and have fun whenever I had the chance. Her motto was: Fifty years from now, will you be sorry you spent the money or glad you didn't let the opportunity pass you by? It helps me put things in perspective!

OOOOhhhhhhh!!!!! Bunch of crazy fools. . . That's just insane......I saw it and I still don't believe it!
Easy to say from a distance. Different when you are in the middle of it.

I'll bet many of the 2008 Eastbound cruisers are saying it's insane to spend four hours trying to get a Palo reservation.

On Tuesday 6th, just before I check in online for our flight on the 7th and we head off to the airport.

The other day I started to worry a little, thinking to myself, how on earth will I catch up with the Thieves thread after 3 weeks away! :lmao: Then I remembered ...... :rolleyes1

I'll have internet access when I'm in Cocoa Beach, so I'll probably be one of the last ones checking in on the thread.

I wonder how long until the sets show up on ebay?! I remember last year things were showing up on ebay before they had even disembarked.
On the 2005 Westbound PC, one guest was told to leave the ship in the middle of the cruise.

A Tale of Tails Part Dix

I am happy to say that the black vests and bow ties arrived today. So, the ensembles (for the moment) are complete, the tails, white dinner jackets, etc.

I'm glad I started this a few weeks ago.

In spite of all of this, I am very happy with the tails and the rest of the clothing.

The entire effect is still not yet complete. A few other accouterments are arriving over the next couple of weeks.

Waiting on Michelle, because another piece of the ensemble might be ordered ....

Cheri & Jackie (and everyone else in Arizona)...
Just booked my plane tix for my trip to Phx in August! :cool1: I know it isn't the best time to visit (but I am fine with the heat) but it is my annual convention. It is at the Biltmore, what a great hotel that is:goodvibes

Hey, I just discovered something...

If your throat hurts from coughing your brains out for a couple of days....a snifter of Frangelico is REALLY NICE! I wonder if Dr. Oz would recommend this???

.

YES :goodvibes :rotfl: :goodvibes

Back from celebrating Ray's birthday. Here's a pic of him and all of us......Ray, me, John and the kid DS.

We all had a great time.....we went to a steak and seafood place and we all had one or the other or both. Then we went back to my house and had ice cream birthday cake because Ray loves his ice cream. We let him take the remainder of the cake with him back to Mrs. Bush. We told him he could eat it everyday all by himself or he could share it with friends. He said, I'm eating it, it's all mine! It's amazing how the elderly revert back to being little kids. I feel like I have a child to care for with him......except he's old enough to drink so he had a Sombraro with his dinner and he loved it.

We told him we would put the pics of his birthday in frames and put them up in his room for him. He was very happy about that. All's well that ends well.

What a wonderful day, Deb. Ray is so lucky to have you :goodvibes Sounds like you all gave him a great birthday!

I did stop in at the Smart dealer again and also stopped in at a Honda dealer to see a fit.

I put myself down on the secondary waiting list for the Smart, as there may be an "orphan" that comes available in a month or so.

Last weekend when I was on the freeway down in Phoenix, a Smart Car passed me. I never would have known what it was if I hadn't been reading this thread. They are small!

Last one, I didn't make this one. Someone else did but I plan on adding our names and room # on it. I left it blank b/c its so cute.
