Connie, she is booked with a room at Poly, but there is now a discount code and Poly is not on offer. The listing of the other resorts is the discounted pricing on those offerings, if she is willing to move resorts.

Pj

OH! thanks for explaining that to me!

You have to leave the boat on your birthday? Maybe Disney will say, Here is your present you get to stay on! :rotfl:

I too had to leave the Magic on my birthday....my 40th birthday, I was so sad (it was August 6, 2005)...sad for turning 40 and sad for leaving the Magic!!!

I don't understand.

You say you have a reservation, with a deposit at the Poly for certain dates, and now they say they don't have your room available? And you have to pay more?

I thought the same thing when I read the email.

I have a ressie. The Poly isn't offering a room discount, the other hotels are.

Hi Why not wear Lime Green then you will catch them :lmao: Scottishwee35

OH! that reminds me! I went to exercise class tonight with my girl friend and she is manager of a chain of stores at Resorts around southern Florida, anyway, her manager gave her 2 tops and they are too big for her, so she gave them to me,

And ONE OF THEM IS LIME GREEN WITH SPARKLES!!!!!! I'll bring that one on the cruise!

Yep, love the rates for the AKL but we've stayed there before and wanted to try the Poly. Just our luck no new rate. :sad2:

that sounds like a good deal....they don't have photo pass on the ship, though.

It would be nice if they did. I am going to preorder the CD for the days we have at WDW before the cruise.

Hello Lisa

My name is Leanne, and I have been reading your story with much sympathy.
I don't want to intrude, but I thought I would let you know what I know about 'septic'. This happened to my grandfather years ago, and septic means that the body is not coping with the infection he has, and his organs are going into sort of shock, and toxins are getting into his bloodstream. This, with other factors, can make his blood pressure go down. He is in the best place for this to be fixed up, and since he has been getting treatment for a few days now, he should be getting better soon.

Hope that things improve for you and your family.

Nice to meet you!!! A nurse tonight explained just what you said. They changed up all his meds today to try and get the infection under control. His organs are a mess. Tonight they gave him Thorazine which is an anti-psycotic drug sometimes used for hiccups. Well within 15 minutes the hiccups stopped first time since Monday no hiccups. It is a very small part of his illness but made him feel so much better not to hiccup.

I hope they keep him here till he really is better this time.

I wanted to find something really sparkly to go with my wig but it is hard to find somethng in that color.

I'm off to dinner so I'll talk to you guys in a couple of hours.

Bad, bad day here. I really thought 2008 was going to be better but... I got a call from DD this morning that DGD12 was being transported from Salem Kaiser dr office to Dornbecker's Childrens Hospital. She has a very serious case of pneumonia. The Childrens Hospital is attached to the one DD and I work at by a skybridge so an easy walk over when she arrived. Her right lung is completely full and they were talking about putting in a chest tube, but after a second xray thought that might not be necessary. They have her on a couple of IV antibiotics and we are praying for a quick recovery. She is on oxygen, had a reaction to vancomycin and had to be put on benedryl for that. She is quite the trouper. When they were trying to get an IV in at Kaiser to transport they kept sticking her and she finally said "could you just try a different place?" I spent a bit of time with them, then decided I would go back to work for awhile while the docs worked her up and decided what to do. As I was walking back to my office I got a call on my cell from my sis telling me our cousin had commited suicide this morning. :sad2: This was as huge shock, the last person I would expect this from. His dad (my favorite uncle) has lost 2 wives in the past 5 years and now a child. :sad1: How much loss can one person endure? He can use lots of prayers. He is 82 years old and plans to fly back to Delaware for services. So far no one has been able to say they can go with him. I will talk with DrHug when he gets home and see if I can do a couple of days.

Ok, now I am going to try to catch up on this new thread. I will skip the last 10 pages of the old one.

Thanks for listening to my troubles.:grouphug:

Angie, you had your troubles really mount up. I think this was about 24 hours ago, so I hope DGD is better and you are on your way to Delaware. I will be praying for you!

It's been busy here DS back to school Tues. after spring break and we hit the ground running I was volunteering in his class in the am and the teacher was in a bind so I ended up volunteering for her in the pm too so there all day:eek: it wasn't even DS class( they switch classes halfway through day) and then she says so glad you'll be driving separately for the field trip thurs:scared1: when she sent a letter that they already had enough chaperones allowed on the bus and if we wanted we could drive separately we were welcome....well I wasn't planning on it but when she said that I felt bad and yes drove separately and was at the wild world zoo all day today. It turned out to be fun but very tired being out in the sun all day and walking non-stop and it was a drive though mostly highway. Since I drove separately I took my DD along since she doesn't have school on T/TH. She was so funny because she wanted to feed they giraffes(you climb stairs so you are high up on a platform area so you are face to face with the ones that want to eat) so I get food for her, my DS, and his friend and then she chickens out because another girl feeds them and one licks her arm so after that she wanted nothing to do with that:lmao: It was nice to drive separately we got to leave when we wanted and DS was counted as "present" and didn't have to go to school at all:woohoo: I felt like we were skipping since I brought him with me...fun outing...unfortunately I then realized that he had golf after school on Thurs.:headache: so I did have to go to school so he could go:sad2: I thought about skipping it but he signed up after the first class though we still had to pay for it and he only has a few left... and they were not that cheap. He had a good time but it was a long day.

spring break was a tease....so ready for this vacation already:yay: :yay: :yay:

I was searching for a few more knit dresses for the cruise (they travel well and expand as you eat your way through the cruise) and I noticed www.coldwatercreek.com has a bunch of good prices on stuff in the outlet section. Also I found a discount code. Coupon Code WXP1482 will take 40% off your order. It works in regular or clearance sections. I found two knit dresses that were $12.99 on sale minus the 40% they became $7.80 each!

THANK YOU so much for that info. I found two beautiful dresses ... one velvet "nice" dress and one cute summery dress. With shipping and tax, still under $30. Thanks again!! :thumbsup2
