Nice to meet you!!! A nurse tonight explained just what you said. They changed up all his meds today to try and get the infection under control. His organs are a mess. Tonight they gave him Thorazine which is an anti-psycotic drug sometimes used for hiccups. Well within 15 minutes the hiccups stopped first time since Monday no hiccups. It is a very small part of his illness but made him feel so much better not to hiccup.

I hope they keep him here till he really is better this time.

Thats great news, he must feel so much better just not having hiccups - hope things keep on improving:flower3:

Karen..I'll pm you if Marr didn't ...we'll be there sunday for a couple hours but then we have to drive home :(

We plan to go early ... then head to the Ducks game in the afternoon. Let's swap cell numbers and maybe we can meet up. :lovestruc

Thanks, Deb.

Our Taylor is a bit better. I love that the Children's Hsp is a short walk from my work. I got to see her before work, at lunch and again before I came home. This evening she said she was worse, but that is because she has worked hard all day on her breathing exercises and trying to cough that stuff up. The docs say at least until Sat. before they will think about discharging her. I don't work tomorrow, so DrHug and I will have to drive into Portland for a bit to see her again.

I talked with my uncle and my cousin did leave a letter addressed to his ex-wife. We don't know the contents of the letter yet except what he wanted for services for him. He requested no "memorial", but rather a wake at the local bar he has been frequenting. I don't know if I am ok with that or not, but she is going to try to comply with his wishes. So, they are trying to get the bar for Saturday of next week. I am going to go with my uncle and he is VERY happy to have my company. He said he would pay for my airfare if I will go along to watch his rear and give him support. He is to me like V's grandpa is to her. My first love and the standard by which all men are judged. DrHug has held up to that standard very well! :thumbsup2 The affair is in Philadelphia. We will fly from Spokane, WA on Thursday and come back late Sunday. I have really mixed feelings about this. I know it is the right thing to be there for this man who was always there for me, but this is the first time since Sept 11, 2001 that DrHug and I have broken the pledge to never be farther apart than we can drive if needed. I have to just work thru that though, suck it up and do it.

Oh Yes, soooooooooo much better. I can eat real food again and my tummy feels fine and my head is normal. What a difference having your health makes.

Thanks for asking Lisa, but the worst is over and I'm able to resume a normal routine again.

Glad to hear you are feeling better!! :goodvibes

THANK YOU so much for that info. I found two beautiful dresses ... one velvet "nice" dress and one cute summery dress. With shipping and tax, still under $30. Thanks again!! :thumbsup2

Hi gaylean....whats new tonight...

Nothing much, just packing for my little trip which I am sure you are doing too. We went to dinner and now just trying to catch up on here. It looks like I didn't miss much. What's new with you?

Angie, I'm so happy to hear the news that Taylor is getting better, even if she doesn't think so......he he ha ha. That's so cute. I'm glad you are able to see her so often and be with her. It's comforting to her......I'm sure.

I have a favorite Uncle that has always been there for me too. I would do anything for him at anytime. So I know EXACTLY why you have to be there for him. Too bad Dr. Hug can't go with you. It's hard to think about breaking the vow you made to each other since 9-11. But I fully understand how you're up against a wall and have to do what you must.....sometimes reality gets in the way of best made plans.

I can come to Phili on Friday or Saturday if you need some support. Just let me know and I will be there for you.

Just take one day at a time. I'm glad today was a little better than yesterday. I hope tomorrow is better even still. Sending you positive thoughts, prayers and pixie dust and lots of hugs and love.

Pm'ing on the slow poke...i just finished packing the clothes, now I have to figure out how to pack the toothbrushes on the down low tomorrow..don't want her asking why I am taking them with us...to school!
