First of all :grouphug: and prayers for all who need them. I haven't been posting but have been reading. My stepdad fell and had to have stitches and broke his nose so I haven't been home much.
Oh my gosh, I hope your stepdad recovers soon. :grouphug:

I am so sorry for your loss. Our prayers are with you and your family.

Hello everyone - I found you all. No way I am going to try and catch up on lost time.

Right after Amy left, and Sophia went to her aunt's I got sick with a bad cold. I started on meds on Monday, but I have not been myself all week long. I have trudged through work every day, but have not felt like even getting on the computer in the evening. I am still a bit under the weather today. And speaking of weather it has been awful and dreary here.

I have two requests for Bobby that I have not fulfilled. If there is any way I can get it done, I will take care of that tomorrow. I have to see if I can scrounge up an additional Bobby.

I do talk to Amy daily in Manilla, and she is doing fine.

I hope everyone else is doing well, and you have all been in my thoughts as the day approaches when we will all finally meet. I read a post by Ken in getting here about how close we are, and I too don't know whether to be happy, or sad.

I may be on tonight - until then, have a great Friday!
Hi John! I hope you feel better soon! Take care of yourself and try to get better before Sophia returns.

Hi John. sorry you haven't been well. It is hard to have to keep going to work - this weekend will do you good. It is perhaps timely that Sophia is at her Aunt's so you didn't have to see to her when feeling so bad.

Glad Amy is doing ok in Manilla. It is one week closer to her being home now!:)

There is a kind of sadness that the cruise will be here soon as then it will soon be over and................... . Life is never going to be the same again afterwards.:sad2: This thread will gradually die a death.

BUT, the upside is we have this fantastic cruise with all these great folk to enjoy in the meantime.

I just wanted to let you know that my brother Tim died this morning.

Thank you to everyone who has sent prayers and pixie dust for him over the last 6 months.
I am very sorry to hear the sad news. Your family will be in our thoughts and prayers.

Woody

Ouch! I hope he has been healing swiftly and you get a chance to relax soon.

Ok, I made a spelling error in my first design, so here is the fixed version. I did like Ken and put the link to the full size below it, for anyone who want to alter it.

Thank you Marilyn. I was telling Amy, you know, it has been a blessing not having to deal with taking care of Sophia, but also a bit of a curse. When you are so used to doing things for others, and things need to get done, I think you often "will" yourself to get better despite how you feel.

Being alone, it is almost as if there is no "will" to get better. When you are used to the company and challenges of family and loved ones, solitude is not always what it is cracked up to be. It is no wonder that the very elderly who lose a spouse seem to dwindle after that loss.

I've decided being alone is not fun!

Goodmorning all - off to work this morning - bad weather this weekend. Hopefully the rain holds off for everyone's visit. I'll do a rain dance after work.

Yes, it was closed last year on the same day.

I just wanted to let you know that my brother Tim died this morning.

There has been so much loss on this thread in the last few days, I'm saying a prayer for all of you.

No worries about not catching up. You have not missed anything of vastly great importance. I hope you can get over the bug that has gotten ahold of you and get back into your regular life soon. Good to hear your wife is doing fine while away. I know that must be hard on her and you as well.

I do not even want to think about the cruise being over. :sad1: I am scared it is coming up so fast and know I will be very upset when it is over. I said before it will be the same feelings I had as a kid leaving summer camp. :sad2: I really think that after such a long cruise there will be some very strong bonds and many "forever friends" made on the ship.

:scared1: lets not even talk like that LA LA LA LA LA I can't hear you!!!!!

There have been so many sad and difficult times for Disers here. :grouphug: fo all for continuing strength to deal with these issues.
Well said Marilyn and I wholeheartedly agree and offer prayers and good wishes and strength to all who need it. So much sadness and rough times with this group over the past year, so it's good that all affected have stumbled upon such a caring and supportive group who is always willing to listen and offer kind words. :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug:

Just so you know, I refuse to finish reading any post that mentions the unspeakable (the cruise being over)! :rotfl: I NEVER, EVER think of that part until the moment I walk off the ship and cry on my way out. :grouphug:
