sorry to hear you are under the weather John, hope you feel better soon.

I don't want to talk about the ending of the trip either!

I just wanted to let you know that my brother Tim died this morning.

Thank you to everyone who has sent prayers and pixie dust for him over the last 6 months.

:grouphug: Oh, I am so sorry. My heart goes out to you and your family. Please accept my sympathies. Love, Connie

I wanted to find something really sparkly to go with my wig but it is hard to find somethng in that color.

Yes, it was just the thing I needed to take on the cruise. She hates the color and was amazed how excited I was to get it!

To each their own! Although the only wig I have is PURPLE! But PURPLE and GREEN are just super together!

THANK YOU so much for that info. I found two beautiful dresses ... one velvet "nice" dress and one cute summery dress. With shipping and tax, still under $30. Thanks again!! :thumbsup2

:tinker: Karen

I went on the site, too, and found a couple of great things!!!!!!!
Thanks for the discount code!!!!!!
:hippie:

Thank you Marilyn. I was telling Amy, you know, it has been a blessing not having to deal with taking care of Sophia, but also a bit of a curse. When you are so used to doing things for others, and things need to get done, I think you often "will" yourself to get better despite how you feel.

Being alone, it is almost as if there is no "will" to get better. When you are used to the company and challenges of family and loved ones, solitude is not always what it is cracked up to be. It is no wonder that the very elderly who lose a spouse seem to dwindle after that loss.

I've decided being alone is not fun!

If you are alone you have to be well don't you? Sometimes I fancy some time alone, but the novelty soon wears off.

:scared1: lets not even talk like that LA LA LA LA LA I can't hear you!!!!!

Just so you know, I refuse to finish reading any post that mentions the unspeakable (the cruise being over)! :rotfl: I NEVER, EVER think of that part until the moment I walk off the ship and cry on my way out. :grouphug:

No more talk, I promise.:lmao:

WE MIGHT! Chuck wants to go on the EASTERN! Great to know some of our wild cruisers will be going too!
Yes, do join us for the 9/12/09 Eastern/Tortola. We have a great group of fellow cruisers.

Woody

I would love to be able to rebook onboard but we'll have to see how the funds are doing. I think for the 4 of us it would be a $1k deposit!

and if we did I think I would want it to be on one of the new ships. so it would have to be a dummy date.

I am so sorry for your loss. Our prayers are with you and your family.

Hello everyone - I found you all. No way I am going to try and catch up on lost time.

Right after Amy left, and Sophia went to her aunt's I got sick with a bad cold. I started on meds on Monday, but I have not been myself all week long. I have trudged through work every day, but have not felt like even getting on the computer in the evening. I am still a bit under the weather today. And speaking of weather it has been awful and dreary here.

I have two requests for Bobby that I have not fulfilled. If there is any way I can get it done, I will take care of that tomorrow. I have to see if I can scrounge up an additional Bobby.

I do talk to Amy daily in Manilla, and she is doing fine.

I hope everyone else is doing well, and you have all been in my thoughts as the day approaches when we will all finally meet. I read a post by Ken in getting here about how close we are, and I too don't know whether to be happy, or sad.

I may be on tonight - until then, have a great Friday!

John, the Bobby that is with us can travel. Just let me know where to send him and that little fellow will be on his way.

Hi everyone... subscribing, lurking and trying to keep up. :goodvibes

Nice to see you again....stop in more often to at least say "HI"

Anyone planning to book a 2009 Disney cruise while onboard?

If so, some of us have booked the 7-night Eastern/Tortola cruise for September 12, 2009. Come join us!

So far, we have:
woody73
mishoe01
gouodux
EllaEnchanted
Ragdoll
lovebeast

Woody

Well, I will be booking a dummy date, but I don't think I can cruise in 2009, as we have a family adventure that year (Peg's 50th birthday!!!--hurts when the 'baby' hits 50!)

When my other sister was here, she had a reading with a psychic, who told her she would be cruising with at least four other people and her Meniere's disease would not be a problem. Although, I can't see her agreeing to a cruise during hurricane season!

Sunday I'll be going to see "The Band's Visit" with my movie group. We go to a movie almost every Sunday afternoon.
!

This is one of the SEVEN (!) movies I saw while on vacation. Don't go tired, as there are lots of moments of silence...I almost nodded off a couple of times. Don't want to mislead...it is a good movie, I was just beat that day.

Well, I've gone well past my alloted time for DISing this morning...will have to race to get ready for work (NO racing driving to work however). One boss is on vacation, team-mate is home recovering from surgery and remaiing boss told me yesterday, he is bailing early today. So he can just man the fort till I get there! :rolleyes1

Have to good day Thieves. pirate:

We are looking after our eldest grandson today. Joel is almost 10 and didn't want to go to a wedding that his parents and 3 siblings were going to! So, we have been to the buffet lunch at the Pizza Hut and he is now playing on his WII. He has very very mild Aspergers tendencies, but is fine as long as he has time to get used to changes in his routine and can play with his Nintendo DS or WII!!! At least we got out for a walk when we went to the Pizza Hut.

I am so sorry. I too have lost a brother, to cancer. It was hard but even harder on his child and my mother. My thoughts and prayer go to you and your whole family.

I agree that we will ourselves to get better for the sake of others sometimes. Me being single sometimes I have no choice but to keep going to get what needs to be done finished. I hope you can will yourself better for the arrival of Sophia and Amy. Last time Amy was gone you grew a goatee I remember have you been indulging again?

Morning all. Seems like it wasn't that long ago that I signed off to go to bed ...

Last night I forgot to post some good info.

We got our Disney's Magical Express luggage tags in the mail!

That's it. No other documents or anything, but just getting those really makes it feel like the trip really is just around the corner. And realistically, all of our other stuff could be at the hotel waiting for us when we get there. It was only the luggage tags we really needed to get before we leave.

OMG - just over month and we are outta here!

I'd better get real busy - and soon!

WE MIGHT! Chuck wants to go on the EASTERN! Great to know some of our wild cruisers will be going too!

I was thinking I may have to see what future cruises I can book onboard! Will have to see what fits into the school schedule.
