I suppose you can all run to bed but I am on a mission to find my wig people!

Talk to you all in the morning! :thumbsup2

I do have to get to bed too but I would love to hear about your search tomorrow. I'll be on most of the day.

I think we all need copies of Lisa W's and Kelly's spread sheet so we aren't missing anything.:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

I guess I am just as bad as I have an excel spread sheet for the boys and I too. I to have been told I am anal about using spreadsheets for just about everything. I even did pivot tables for the boy's Bar Mitzvahs (costs, rsvp's, gifts, etc):cool1: Still trying to catch up again!

No - I will be the one at the port that they have lost the paperwork with no room!

I sure hope not!:sad2:

the hunky lifeguards are playing football in front of my yard!!

I think I should come for a visit!:lmao:

I found the thread but can't find the pix.:confused3

I will have a look when I have finished here. Maybe I got the wrong thread.:confused3

I was originally booked on this cruise when it first came out but had to cancel due to problems with the school district. My husband did pass away recently, and the school districts, I had to deal with two, did understand under the circumstances that the kids and I needed to get away from the memories and the press since this was a murder by a burglar.

My son, 16, has been suffering from high blood pressure the last few weeks (we are trying to rule out organic causes), I guess the strain is too much, and my daughter, 10, is having constant back aches, I assume this is stress and I had her checked out at the pediatrician today who said it might be stress or she could have strained somehow. I am a total zombie and I am hoping the this cruise will enable us to forget our troubles for a while and laugh and have smiles and fun again.

I think I am too late to get in on most of the stuff you guys have been planning for over a year, but in a couple of days, I will send our info out, I saw a thread about it. I would like to attend some meets or whatever you guys have cooked up. I haven't had time to do any planning. I just have the cruise booked and airfare booked. But I still have time.

Thanks for listening, my DH was a great guy and very loved in the community. We will miss him forever.

Tammy

I am so so sorry Tammy about the sad loss of your husband. I can't imagine what it must be like for you, particularly looking after your children who are having problems dealing with it too.:grouphug: I am so glad you are coming along on the cruise. This is the best bunch of people I have 'met' ever.

Marilyn:

I had purchased the red one for Paul, and looked at the ivory one too, not sure what the banana one is? I ended up getting the lite blue which is very nice also, we will keep it, but I want the red to match with my dress. So let me know which you like and I'll add it to my request and have it for you on the ship.

Nan

Can you get the cream one Nan. I think John would like that. This one is a small size(41"). Thanks.

His is pretty bad I think, he's been in pain for quite some time and not been seen or treated, he's been in the hospital for a week and needs to stay at least another week! Not sure if he has other issues, my Grandma hates hospitals and won't go to them, so it was relayed by phone.

Many people(me included) have Diverticular Disease(Diverticulosis). Seems to be one of those illnesses of modern times - not enough fibre in the diet etc. Little pouches develop in the walls of the bowel Quite often you don't know about it, but it can flare up into Diverticulitis - inflammation of these pouches, often caused by seeds becoming trapped in there. There can be complications from repeated attacks. Sticking to the diet is a good thing!!

They won't charge the Champagne Girls $15 a bottle will they?

That is what I was wondering. I suppose if we hire a room they might just do so.

OK you are gonna think I am nuts but I already ordered something online and set the date to be delivered right before our sail date. I am always very good to those that are good to me. :thumbsup2

Nice thought there. We should all chip in.

OK so I bought this lime green dress. What do you guys think about jewelry?

If you take off the pink bow it isn't too bad really!!:rolleyes1

I know we have a lot of people who have had loss over the year, as well as those that have lost their spouses in recent years. I hope no one is hurt that I am posting this fund information; Tammy was very reluctant for me to do so. However, given the incredible close timing, I thought the act of giving may help her, as well as help each of us as we struggle with this thing called life. Anyway....to the point...

I've been PMing Tammy and after much reluctance on her part, she has agreed for me to post the fund information I found on my own through a google search. First, I'd like to quote a little bit about Tammy's DH - from her words and some others:

Nader was an avid golfer and sports fan, a loving husband, father, son and brother. He was known for his kind heart and great sense of humor. As the service manager for a very popular restaurant, he met many many people from all walks of life and he was friendly and always did the right thing to the best of his ability. He always visited every table and personally greeting every diner at the restaurant. He was remembered and respected by many. All of this impact, and they only moved to their town in June 2006. He was a humble man and never would have believed how much he was loved and how much he is missed. He was taken from this life while working late at his restaurant, supporting his wife and children.

A fund has been established called the Nader Bahmanziari Memorial Fund. The fund will benefit Tammy and her children, Chris & Layla. The address to send donations to is Pinnacle Bank, 1745 Memorial Blvd., Murfreesboro, Tenn., 37129.

As mentioned several times, Tammy was reluctant for me to post this, and wants to stress that she is not asking anyone to donate to this fund. It was with my encouragement she is allowing me to post this.

Lisa

EDIT: I'm PMing the DIS moderator to make sure it is ok to have this posted. Marr, please wait to add to first page until I confirm this post is ok. Thanks, Lisa

Thanks for organising this on here. I wonder if there is a way UK folk can donate.

Ok, how funny would it be if one night we ALL wore lime green formal dresses? Maybe not one of the formal nights...but just a random night. We would have the WHOLE ship talking!!!

Cool!!:thumbsup2 :lmao:

Not only will I be in that dress but I WILL be commando with TWO bottles in my hand! This is how you know a DISer!

:scared1:

Marr, you'll see one dress in april, but they are pretty safe. A black one, like the turquoise and black that you have. A dress that looks like leopard print from far away, but up close it's just the colors. Sleeveless, shows a little (or alot) of the chesticles hahahahahah and too the knee. The other is a spaghetti strap creme with a black lace overlay. Pretty. Also to the knee. No ball lengths or above the knee.

Chesticles!!:rotfl2:

you can see my dress, it's in my photobucket...

just kidding...(well not really it is) but to make it easy on ya, here...

but I'm open to finding something else too, maybe in lime green :rolleyes1

Very nice too.

Oh it has been so much fun catching up those last pages. You guys had a ball!!!

to make sure I can keep fitting into my dress, I'm off for some chocolate...

The only way!

I am so into that. Let's do it. At least 300 people will think it's funny and the rest will feel left out!

Please do it!

for our uk friends so they too can share in the magic

:scared1:

Well I can't find where i saw that PC picture. Looked all over and in all sorts of threads!:confused3

However one thing I did notice is that the Tag Fairy seems to tag everyone on the EB PC thread!:sad2:

I think that is very WB'ist and smacks of WB'ism. (Stamps feet, pouts bottom lip, rolls on floor and holds breath!)

I don't think it would be right to bring your own wine in the bottle to the dining table. Maybe a glass, ok. Connie

We have taken bottles to dinner and have them opened (for the corking fee) but we have only taken a glass when we open ourselves.

Welcome Back - I cannot even begin to imagine what happened to your life and DH - may he be forever remembered as the great guy, husband and father he was -- I pray for the laugh and smiles and fun you and your family so deserve.

Happy Thursday.

BIG day and BIG doings going on around here today.

- The tuxes arrive today
- The new camera arrives today
- 458th pair of formal shoes arrives today (I hope)

I've been busy shopping for extra accessories for formal night. I'm hoping to have some responses from vendors I emailed last night.

________________________________________________

Very excited about this coming weekend. I actually have an entire weekend off. No WW meetings to lead on Sunday, WW is closed.

I do have to weigh in for our summer staff weight loss challenge. I'll probably do that on Saturday.

________________________________________________

Speaking of Saturday, I also have an appointment at 9:15 AM to see and test drive a Smart Car. I'm thinking of getting new car next year. Fortunate coincidence is that there's a 1 year wait for a Smart Car in the Chicagoland area.

My major reservation is the trunk space or lack thereof. I currently own a 1998 Subaru Forester.

________________________________________________

On the recent discussion of the subject of diets, fasts and weight loss.

I will, for the most part, keep my counsel, but studies have shown the following.

People who successfully lose and maintain weight have made the following lifestyle changes:

- Making better food choices
- Adding activity to their lifestyles at a pace that's comfortable for them
- Changing their behavior

I like to think about things as IPF

- Item (what it is)
- Portion (how much of it)
- Frequency (how often one eats it)

And now, off to catch the bus and get to work.

Hello Tammy

My and my familys sincerest sympathies and prayers for your husband, yourself and your children for your terrible loss.

I can only send you:grouphug: from my family to yours, but they are sent with love.

Keep strong and take one day at a time.

I also have experienced great loss in my life (5 immediate family members in 5 years), but not to anything as tragic and evil as your loss. The only way I made it through was one day at a time, and don't put any timetable on yourself to 'get over it'.

Sending you strength and prayers. and I hope you take strength from remembering your husbands love and the respect people had for him.
Leanne:flower3:
