All I can say is THE CABINS NEAR OR ACROSS FROM LAUNDRY ROOM IS THE WORST ROOM ON THE SHIP!!!!! 24 HOURS PER DAY OF SMELL, HEAT AND ACTION.... however if you wanted to start a business to pay for your cruise and do others laundry.

This is why I want to change rooms.....longest I've ever been on a ship is 4 nights and the laundry room was never used.....didn't think things out very well when I picked this room for this cruise.

I am so MAD!!! My nanny told my kids today that we are going on vacation in May and she thinks it is the Disney cruise!! It was a total language barrier situation. I had told her that we were taking the time off, and I also told her that it was a surprise for the kids and we hadn't told them. She must have misunderstood. I just called her at home livid after my sons told ME that we are going on the disney cruise. I completely denied it, told them our nanny was confused....I was so looking forward to surprising them at Easter. ARGGG:mad: My DH thinks they will still be surprised and happy, but I feel she took away my surprise. ARGG!
Lisa

I am sorry. That is terrible but hopefully they will be surprised. We can't tell my sister anything or she will tell.

Good luck on your test!!!

Thanks, it was ok. It was very hard but I think I passed. I won't be there when we get them back as I will be at the Dr.

Where's Gydell got to? I didn't think she was going away till early April but I might be mistaken. Hope she is ok. Missing her.

I was just thinking the same thing yesterday. I don't think she should be away right now......she would have told us that she was leaving. I hope she's feeling okay. I miss her too.

Oh man - that stinks. That's something my poor Mom would do - but it would be because she's 83 and forgets things are secret. That's why we don't tell her anything we don't want all of us to know. That's too bad. I'm sure there will still be some level of surprise - but probably not what you were working so hard to have. Sorry. :sad2:

I was looking at PJ's wonderful calendar just a few minutes ago (thanks PJ!) and noticed that the Relay for Life is at 1 a.m. on May 17th (Saturday).

I was just thinking that if I stay up all night on the 16th because DCL might do the midnight PREMear of Narnia and then I am out in the sun all day going through the canal, that I most definitely won't make it to the 1 a.m. Relay for Life.

We might want to change the date.

I remember on the PC cruise in 2005, that after dinner that evening, most people were calling it a day because alot of people had gotten up before day light as we got ready to enter the canal.

Anyway, just a thought!

Oh, so THAT's what that plus sign is for! :lmao:

 I wish I could say the same. I did fish out all the supplies I bought and put them all together in one place. Perhaps I'll get a chance to work on it next week while on vacation...if I can convience big sister to help.

Goodnight kids!

.

My sister, who made my cool door signs I posted on the last thread, is making my fish extender - she's surprising me with it, so I'm pretty excited to see what she comes up with - she's so crafty! I'll post a picture when it's done.

I am thinking I will do one load of unmentionables and the rest to the service. This will be my splurge.

Pj

My thoughts exactly! And remember if you only need pressing, it's half the price of the laundry!

Just DON'T wake ME up!!! :goodvibes

I think I'm going to not deal w/ that hassle and spend a bit of my obc and get the laundry service....I don't want to waste any time in the laundry room.

Would you like me to bring you coffee in the morning? A little danish maybe?

How much is laundry service? I mean, depending on the cost, I might just have it done.

I'm thinking the same. Seems like doing the laundry will be much more hassle on vaation than at home and that's a nono!

Unmentionables are a problem.:rolleyes1

I'd like to hazard a guess that Monica will say no thank you to 4.30, but anytime after 9am!!!:lmao:

I just called DCL to see if I could get my room nbr changed, but they said nope. Will try again later.

There is a link on the website, young man, lol. shipboard page, lower sidebar. Which takes you to this location, http://www.disboards.com/showpost.php?p=10054885&postcount=4

Pj

Thanks.

I think I just may pay to have it done. It would beat any goofiness of trying to get up early enough / stay up late enough / hanging out in the laundry room drinking vodka and eating cookies.

If I think about how much my vacation time is worth, and because there are only two of us. It's worth it.

I'm planning on packing about 1 week to 8 days worth of clothing, so paying for laundry to be done once during the trip is not too too terrible.

Probably not bad if I calculate out how much a vacation hour is worth.

My plan exactly. I've figured it into what I plan to spend.
