Oh, that's neat! Good luck to him! Mike went to NYU this weekend for an admited student presentation. He's going to Santa Clara in San Jose this weekend. He's got major decisions to make. He still has 2 more schools to visit, too.

Connie:

Does he need any hosting for his weekend? We are running around alot of Saturday but we could find time to chat on Sunday. Paul went to undergrad and Law school at Santa Clara, I'm sure he would be happy to chat with Mike if he desires.

Nan

I've had many friends go thru santa clara. THey all really liked it.

Shall we get out our notes and compare names here too? Paul was there undergrad and law school...ok I just said that huh?

He's done some work in San Jose at Lockheed Martin, so he knows the area, but I wish he would choose a law school on the east coast, purely for selfish reasons! ( not sucha long airplane trip to visit)

But Connie, Northern CA is so beautiful to visit :goodvibes

Nan's DH and mine both went to Santa Clara law school. I'm a big fan of that school! I hope my DK go the undergrad there...although I might have to forego on some cruises to pay for it!:scared1:
Lisa

One of my best friends teaches Math there now and as a professor your children get free tution. My other friend and I plan on having her adopt our children around the age of 17 to reap her benefits for our own :lmao: :lmao:

I have to say as an SJSU girl I never "got" the whole Santa Clara thing while in college myself, but now as a parent I look at the campus and program and drool. Such a great environment. If our kids get in we too will have to figure out a way to stop vacationing and pay for college...

So I'm back from the mouse house. Here's the update...
Nemo was cute. IMHO..not worth an 1 1/2 wait glad I did it first thing sat. morning, but cute nonetheless. The competition ended. Varsity didn't make finals, but JV did and they got 6th place. Not bad for their first attempt. Next year, they'll be better!
The LA traffic always suprises me. I forget that it doesn't matter what time of day or night, it's always trafficy!
I'm glad I got my disneyland run out of the way. It was a beautiful so cal weekend. Much nicer than nor cal! I have a nice sunburn! Hopefully it'll turn into a tan. As stated earlier I met Woody and Kelly (edna mode) at disneyland, briefly. We went on some rides together and I got to see the lanyard sample in person...it's cool. I'm glad I ordered it!
Now, I am home. My kitty is very happy to see me. I realized I left my sunglass case and phone charger in the hotel. What a bummer! PS...love the LA gas prices. Saved $10 bucks filling up down there.

Hope you all have a good night.
Steph

Next time you go I suggest that you swing by here and grab me. What a hoot that would be huh??? Glad you are home safe :goodvibes Did you get your stuff back?

Hello everyone. I couldn't find the original posts about the girlscouts meeting on the cruise but I wanted to tell everyone interested that I spoke with Brooke's leader today and she said she thinks there is a patch for cruising. Brooke is a Daisy so she can't "earn" patches or try-its but she can get the one for the cruise. She has one for scrapbooking as well. I really don't know the difference, I guess she just can't earn certain patches. Now the little ones can get something just like the big kids!

I had posted about scouts as my daughter and nans daughter are scouts. They will try to work on a badge during the cruise but as far as patches go I have seen some cruise fun patches before. Before the cruise I will buy enough patches to cover all the girls I know are going to be onboard so we can present them to the girls during a scout meeting onboard. I think the girls would like that a lot.

I agree about Nemo but hey everyone should do it once.
Hey though............ our NorCal weather was ok it was mid 70s here today nice day to be out and about selling cookies. :rotfl:

We're done with that 672 boxes this year. How about you???

actually I am more of a purple gal myself, Deb is the one into pink.

Yes, I was curious abotu AZ, never knew they didn't observe the time change.

I didn't get much sleep last night, my nose is running like a faucet. And the time change is killing me!

I was gonna try and nab purple, can we share :rolleyes1

I've been hit by the time change too, had to nap this afternoon after Oprah, thru me for a loop, I'm so tired now....

Evening all,

It sure is interesting to see how many Disers are on deck 7 aft. I have a feeling it will be a sea of green. We're in 7612...so we will be bumping into many of you at the lifeboat drill.

I have a feeling that we might just need a couple of these Army/Navy/Air Force (the old hug and slug clubs) gatherings to hear all the stories

Nan, sorry to hear about the tulips, we have some neighborhood brats as well. I've moved most of my favorites to the backyard.

I wish I could but I have this rotten dog back there and not a good spot for the sunlight, so I figure best to share with the neighbors. Mostly we get nice people looking and smiling. One year a woman knocked on the door to tell us how nice they looked. I guess it balances out for the rotten parents of last weekend...

It just clicked in that I will have to be outside for this lifeboat drill, eeek.

I haven't done that since 2004, each cruise since I have been in AP for my drill. John we need pictures, lol.

Update on the sad Easter Bunny situation of yesterday: On the way to school this morning, Tyler told me, "I'm so sorry for what I said yesterday about the Easter Bunny. I need to see him to tell him what kind of basket I want. Can we please, please go see him today after school?"

So.......here's what we did today on the way to karate class:
