Hi everyone. Once again, time only to check in. After work, I had to go and clear my MIL's driveway. She has a shared driveway with a neighbor, who has her 20 something daughter and husband living with her, and since Friday, none of them has lifted a shovel to clear the drive.

So I loaded up the snow blower, and headed over. It is probably about 100 feet or so from the curb back to the garage, and since it got warmer today and melted a bit, it was like blowing slush. Slush that is a foot and a half deep that is. It was back breaking even with a snow blower. Took me an hour and a half.

Of course, even with all that racket, her neighbors never came out. In the past, I have also done the pad in the back that goes to both garages - not this time. I have never had so much as a Thank you in the past. The girl's car was smack in the middle of it - so I let it go. My MIL calls me a couple hours later to say I must have freed them from their home - they are diet coke addicts, and the woman ran out to her car after I left to get diet coke out of the trunk. The first tracks in the snow since Friday.

Hope you are all well and having a great day.

But, since I saw the post right before mine, I would be remiss if I did not say . . .

Happy Birthday Angie!

ugh, sometimes my sister annoys me. I was complaining about money, which I seem to be doing a lot of lately...and she says well, if you didn't take all these trips you would have some money so don't sit and complain to me about it....I said what trips, she says well ESPN weekend and the cruise you could have cancelled....I hung up on her. She is 23 living at home with only her car payment to speak of.
She just ticked me off. Doesn't help that I am not feeling well.

Wait does that mean she did not move out with a boyfriend then? I think I am remembering this right....

Happy Birthday Angie!

Yeah, he was very happy! We got there while the bunny was on a "carrot break", so we waited the few minutes until his return. The look on Tyler's face when he saw the bunny walking down the mall on his way back from his carrot break! He wanted to run up to him, but stopped himself at the last minute. He probably would have sat on that bunny's lap rubbing his soft fur ALL DAY if he could! ;)

We'll only have to speak for people to have a pretty good idea who we are. There never seem to be many English accents on the Magic.

We know what you mean - can't hide an Aussie accent anywhere or from anyone !!! (but a lot of people mistake us for Canadian or English - very different to my ears, but go figure!!):confused3 :thumbsup2

Connie:

Does he need any hosting for his weekend? We are running around alot of Saturday but we could find time to chat on Sunday. Paul went to undergrad and Law school at Santa Clara, I'm sure he would be happy to chat with Mike if he desires.

Nan

Thanks! But I think he's spending time with a friend of his from high school. He is at Santa Clara right now. Mike is going to be there this weekend for the admitted students day on Saturday (March 15) He has to decide for or against Santa Clara by April 1. NYU, Duke and University of Virginia are by May 1, so he'll know which one for sure by the time we sail. Thank goodness, that will be one thing less to worry about. He has his Master's in Electrical Engineering from University of Illinois at Champaign. We are from Illinois, and that is where he grew up. I think he's ready for an adventure.

I think he's going to choose NYU just because it is completely different from anything he's ever known. Of course, it is a good Law School, too, so I am OK with it, although his dad would rather he go to Virginia or Duke, because he thinks it's more rural.

Evening all,

It sure is interesting to see how many Disers are on deck 7 aft. I have a feeling it will be a sea of green. We're in 7612...so we will be bumping into many of you at the lifeboat drill.

I have a feeling that we might just need a couple of these Army/Navy/Air Force (the old hug and slug clubs) gatherings to hear all the stories

ALL DIS'RS SHOULD HAVE SOMETHING LIME GREEN ON THEIR DOOR!! tHAT WILL BE EASIER TO FIND THEM!!!

MY LAST POST WAS SUPPOSED TO BE IN LIME GREEN!

ALL DIS'RS SHOULD HAVE SOMETHING LIME GREEN ON THEIR DOORS!

Both cruises we've been 8.30 LAP.
I think I'd rather be 8.00 so less chance of falling asleep in my dinner.
And at least one formal in Lumieres would be nice, which LAP won't get.
But DH and I have agreed not to request a particular time, just go with whatever we get. Hope I don't regret that.

Perhaps we'll be the weird tablemates that Ian is hoping to avoid! :rotfl:

Nope... We're the weird ones!!! We adopted them and lord only knows what they're getting themselves into!!! :rolleyes1

Of course I'm trying to keep up with him and his ideas for formal night... (so far we've talked Audrey Hepburn, Bette Davis and Marilyn Monroe.... for me...)

He's coming as Humphrey Bogart in Casablanca....

Update on the sad Easter Bunny situation of yesterday: On the way to school this morning, Tyler told me, "I'm so sorry for what I said yesterday about the Easter Bunny. I need to see him to tell him what kind of basket I want. Can we please, please go see him today after school?"

So.......here's what we did today on the way to karate class:

OMG - that is so cute!

It just clicked in that I will have to be outside for this lifeboat drill, eeek.

I haven't done that since 2004, each cruise since I have been in AP for my drill. John we need pictures, lol.

Pj

We are always in AP for the lifeboat drill! That's where they put the disabled people! I always say we would have the last lifeboat afailable! :dance3:

Darrell did his PhD course work there. (Has ABD status) we lived in Urbana while he was going to school there.
