I had a text message from Tammy and she and the kids are still surviving DL. I think they go home on Saturday!!

I don't how many of you all know I was directly across fromt he laundry on the 6th floor. After about the 4th night there were people in the laundry room 24/7 making all kinds of noise. I guess it had to do with 15 day cruise and not as many luggages allowed by the airlines.....anyway, I complained. And they tried to post someone to keep the noise down but it was still noisy. I had several calls from DCL while on the cruise.

I filled in the survey and expressed my concern again. When I got home yesterday, DCL called again. They said they were sorry but could not control the actions of guests. I suggested closing the luandry from 1am till 8am. Theye said they were considering this for the East bound sailing. Then I got the following e-mail and I thought you guys would like to read it!!

Dear Lisa:

Thank you for speaking with me.

As promised, I would like to confirm that upon your November 22, 2008,
arrival on the Disney Magic, we will apply a $200 credit toward your
onboard account, which may be used toward any merchandise or services
purchased onboard our cruise ship or at Disney's Castaway Cay. Your
reservation has been appropriately noted to include this credit. If you
have any further questions, please feel free to call me at 407-566-7309.

Again, we deeply regret any disappointment and hope that this will not
affect your regard for Disney Cruise Line. It continues to remain our
goal to exceed our guests' expectations, and we look forward to
welcoming you aboard soon.

Sincerely,

Joseph Paris

I took my mom to the doctor today. As you all know I had my brother taking care of her while I was gone. I take her to the doctor every 6 weeks. Since her last appointment, she has lost 10 pounds....from 98 pounds to 88 pounds. I don't know if they didn't feed mom or if she was just being "mom" and didn't eat for them.

I fix her specail meals for all three meals everyday. I think they expected her to eat whatever they were eating and I don't think she liked that.

Her doctor was livid. She can't live very long at 88 pounds...I have to weigh her everyday now. He wats to know if she even losses 1 more pound. The did a complete CBC and I have to schedule a colonoscomy (sp??) and a few other tests.

The pain she is experiencing is terrible and the doctor explained what ever muscle she had is now gone and the joints have nothing to rub against. It will only continue to get worse.

I just get Frank pretty well and now mom falls apart. One more time I will say "geting old is hell".....

Holly, glad to have met you and Tyler. We always got to see the good side so find it hard to believe he could be such a monster. You were amazing with him. Glad to hear that his father is finally on board and help is on the way. He is really a great kid.
Aw, thanks. It was great to meet you too! :thumbsup2

Good old Joseph, he was the E.C. on the whole Pan Can Fee issue as well, good to know he is still employed.

I think think this is great Lisa, they must know that there will be issues with noise and maybe different wall and door materials, in this section of the hallway, might be helpful in dealing with this.

Lisa, I'm sorry to hear about your mom's condition. How awful.

Great news about the credit Lisa! I can't imagine how noisy it must have been for you. Not good.

One day I wanted to take a nap and I noticed it was really quite. I opened the door and the laundry was closed.....due to repairs. It was a great nap!!

How long did it take the workers to snake out the socks you'd stuffed in all the washer drains?:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Did anyone go outside to Ballroom Under The Stars? I never made it. What was it like? Seems to me it was chilly and windy that night.

We might have to rent a ship to accommodate everyone. Tyler can be our ring bearer.

[One of my favorite moments, out of a few hundred, is you Holly, standing outside your stateroom. You said that it was a "Mommy timeout."]

I love it!!! But my mommy would have double locked the door... ;)

I can't imagine what you will wear on that day :worship:

Shorts and Tshirt...

You had Mario, right??? Thats why! He was cool!!!

Nope... Lyndon ROCKED!!!!!

I wish we could have spent time in DL, but it just wasn't in the cards. Maybe sometime later this or early next year we'll some of of our DVC points and get out there and stay at the Grand Californian.

Jill ---- do you have any Mickey bars left?

Silly Question Ian... the rest are in the freezer!!!

Yes, we had Mario. He was incredible. The best steward we've had on a cruise. Not only was he quite free with the tubes of goodies, he was fretting over me the fist day I got sick and spent a few hours napping in the room because I was so out of it.

Mario was really great.

(we had quite a line up in those rooms in that corridor)

And Mario has taken this week off to recover... :rotfl:

Cold.. they moved it indoors and I heard it wasn't much of anything...
Anyone else go to it?

Look who's right by the door with video camera at the ready!!!

Lisa knows all the good spots for pictures!!!

I am very happy to report the Mickey bars made it home, except a few that I ate on the plane. I plan to have one for breakfast in the morning since its the only food in the house. You should have seen the look on my mom and sistes face when they opened the bag full of Mickey bars while going through my souveniers (no they didn't get one).:rotfl2:

you sneaked them thru customs????

:rotfl: Wrong kind of Mickey Bar I don't like that kind. I LOVE the rice crispy treat kind, so Sukie and Ian gathered me a bag of them. I had no problem traveling with them, since they are individually wrapped (I asked before I got off the ship).:)

your kidding me, we could get those on the ship??? for free???? ok I need to cruise again.

She bribed her way through customs... that's why there were a few missing when she got home...

What I would have given for a Mickey Bar on my 5 hour all we're giving you is peanuts and a coke flight!!!

please stop talking about food, my room service button broke already, I tried to get Paul to pick up a BLT on his way home from getting Molly at play practice and he told me no. Darn it. I had the $1 ready and everything :rotfl2:

Next time offer $2....

Cheri??? Were you near me on embarkation? That looks like my same shot!! Very cool!

That IS your shot! I lifted it from your trip report--I hope you don't mind. I thought it was so funny to see Lisa standing right in the doorway, waiting for the characters! You guys obviously are IN THE KNOW when it comes to the places to be at the right time!:goodvibes Before my next cruise I'm going to consult with you to find out where I should be standing and when I should be there!

SO this needs to be in writing......

TONIGHT...I asked DH about sailing on Royal Caribbean. (quite frankly I am shocked he knew other ships existed).

He said - sit V. I am not going on any ship that isn't Disney - you can drag me wherever you want but when it comes to cruising I would like a say.

Who knew?

reverse psych rocks!

ok - you people take the cruise and then forget all about our thread.....do you guys have jobs?
