So today I picked up an Employment Application for the Disney Store!!! I talked to the manager and she was very nice and they have the perfect opening for me. I am going tomorrow to turn in the application and hopefully set up an interview. I do not go back to work till Sat.

Good luck! Let us know how it goes!:thumbsup2

I"M BACK. What a wonderful trip we had. All I can say is how much fun we had, with memories to last a lifetime and the many friends that I made. I didn't want to leave.

Welcome home! I miss you and Harvey! Wish we were neighbors. It was so much fun constantly running into both of you. We need to cruise together again someday.:goodvibes

Being neighbors would be a great idea. Harvey says Hi, but moving to Ohio is just too cold for our thin blood. I know what, let's just move to Orlando as close to Disney as possible.

Gosh, do I miss you and Harry. We are special friends indeed.

I love Ohio's four seasons but if you move to Orlando we will meet at one of the parks.:thumbsup2

I am off to take DGD outside but am anxious to hear more about DL. Will talk more later!:goodvibes

It kind of didn't rock when I didn't win $31,000.
Yeah, no kidding! When I got 2 numbers away I told Heather (threebritts) that if I won, I'd send Tyler home on by himself and would get back on the ship for another 2 weeks! :rotfl2: I seriously would have! Then I'd still have enough money left for a couple more semesters at school. :thumbsup2

That sounds like a great idea and remember you would not need to "buy" witnesses here in California. Their are tons of us who would jump at the chance to join in the celebration with you guys. :thumbsup2

Marr, we're really very touched. I mean that sincerely. I now wish that we were doing this in California (no slight against Canada). It would be so much more meaningful to have folks there who know us, and not have the rented witnesses. I guess that's why it seems so anticlimactic to us.

Sukie is researching California, and we are really quite serious about flying out there to get hitched as well.

Is it possible to have too many marriage licenses, well at least too many with the same person?

Holly - how is Tyler now that he is home? I still can't believe about the clubs. Are you back to work already?

Holly, you did the right thing giving yourself the timeout, but you really did appear to be in control of yourself and I thought you did a great job of calming Tyler redirecting him to appropriate behaviors. Please have him checked for high functioning Autism. Hugs to you from one who has been there.
Thanks Steve. I did mention it to his OT yesterday and she told me there are too many aspects of Autism that aren't present. Many of his characteristics, many of his abilities, just aren't present in kids with Autism (or so she says). She says the sensory disorders are in the same spectrum as Autism, as are many other things, and they all have some traits in common. Confusing, but we're on our way. Trying to get an appointment with the child psychiatrist the OT recommended. He's not taking new patients, but she told me she'll call him and see if she can convince him because she's done favors for him in the past and also that he'll listen to her concerns about Tyler. :thumbsup2

Holly - how is Tyler now that he is home? I still can't believe about the clubs. Are you back to work already?
I went back to work on Tuesday. :worried: Tyler's worse and worse. He had a total loss of control at OT yesterday. He was so physical, the OT could barely restrain him to try to calm him. It was awful. Picture a spitting & hissing cat mixed with tazmanian devil. Very scary to see a kid so out of control. It was all set off by frustration at not being able to do one activity she was trying to do with him and when she tried to move onto something else, he got frustrated because he wanted to keep trying the other, and things just snowballed. Horrible. School was OK for him, but he fell apart at karate class afterwards. The instructor finally told him if he wasn't going to try to do what he was told, he'd have to leave class.

When I dropped him at his dad's, I spent an hour talking with his dad in the kitchen while he made dinner. I told him how heartbroken Tyler was that he was asked to leave the sleepover on the ship, told him how much worse he's getting, etc. We weren't arguing, just discussing, and he finally said, "You know, I used to be dead set against meds, but we have to give it a try so he can have a chance to do well". :faint: He finally sees the light. I didn't tell him that I'd already been in contact with the psychiatrist office to get that ball rolling. I'll just let him know when the appointment is. :thumbsup2

Holly - glad to hear Tyler's dad is coming around. Hope everything works out.
Well I have a 3pm meeting, wish it was a wine tasting. Then two more hours and I am out of here. John has a ball game - they are 0-5 without him. Hopefully he'll play well tonight.
I am going to snuggle on the couch with the girls and read books. I feel like being lazy tonight.

Where is my room ninja???!!!:confused3 Mario can you unpack this stuff for us!!!

I oh so wanted to take Lyndon home with me... I stopped short of offering college educations to his two kids... next time... I'll have to throw that in...

We made it to our hotel in Torrance, CA.....we have a one bedroom suite for the next 5 nights. But we're very sad......we lost a bag at the Port.....just could not find it.....someone else may have mistakenly taken it. The saddest part is that it had Webster and Cozy in it.....our stuffed animal babies. We are heart broken. We reported it to lost and found and can only hope that we'll get them back.

In the meantime.....here we are! We'll be doing DL tomorrow morning and hoping to run into more friends that we said goodbye to on the ship and at the port.

California here we come!

I can't believe how much luggage got lost!!! I lost a duffle and a couple of other's did too... will have to ask... I heard from the GC bell guys that it was a MESS for them this time.

Home safe and sound!

Cheri and I hit Phoenix around 830 last night (had a traffic delay on the I10 just west of town). We stopped at Peg's for a short visit then Cheri headed on to her sister's for the night. We'll drop off the rental car this morning and go to breakfast before Cheri heads on up north.

Debarkation was a bit of a nightmare, wasn't it? I didn't hit the ENTRANCE to the terminal building till 1035AM...about an hour of standing in line just getting off the ship. So our visit to DTD was cut short. We just did lunch at Goofy's and then headed on out.

Thanks everyone for making this such a special vacation. I had a great time meeting everyone, exchanging fish extender treats, doing the meets and excursions, blowing off excursions to spend the day on a lounge outside Cove Cafe, the shows, the crew and officers, did anyone else fall in love with Daniel? Oh, la la!

Must race to the shower to be ready when Cheri calls....think she'll be up by 9AM? :lmao:

.

Oh Jackie!!! We miss you too!!! Weren't the lines just crazy????

We are back!!!!!!! It was nice seeing DISers around at Disneyland afterwards we had a great time there it was an easy way to come back to reality since its only 6 hours from home ....we had an easy drive home. Have tonz of luggage all over the place, dropped off the rental car off this morning, and had to go to the grocery store since our fridge is empty and I needed detergent for all of the laundry I'll be doing:eek: We made it through the cruise without doing laundry:yay: and clothes to spare. Thanks LiserAnn and Cheri for letting my DH taxi over to Budget:goodvibes It was really nice meeting all of you throughout the cruise...didn't get to meet some of you and others I barely saw. I think I saw mostly people from early dining and others I saw all of the time.:goodvibes My DK had a ball my Tyler already misses the other Tyler(Readyalready's 7 year old son). He really enjoyed playing pokemon with Cameron. My DS looooved the kids club since we put him in the 8-10 much better for him (he's not into the prince and princess type things and activities with the 3 year olds was such a big age gap)and he never wanted to leave...we almost never saw him (it made me sad because I like to have family time too...its a preview of what's to come during the teen years:scared1: but DD was sad when DS wasn't in her group and would call us to be picked up when an activity would be over:( She liked playing with Brooke at the club when she was there and enjoyed the princess party with Zoe but didn't see her at the clubs much. My DD can be shy so she was a little overwhelmed with the big group of kids...couldn't imagine double the amount of kids in the club:scared1: We all had a blast ...thank you everyone!!!! It was also a special treat that they had the overnight for the first time(hope they do that regularly) it was nice dropping them off and picking them up in the morning.:) It worked out great for all of us they had a blast ...it was their first sleepover at 5 and 7. Woody and Mrs. Woody made good neighbors:) DH and I really enjoyed brunch at Palos with our small DIS group. And I loved the teas:thumbsup2 We finally had dinner there the night before we left. Yum!!! V and family, John1 and family, and Kimeric and family we had fun at Acapulco. Thanks Deb for the champagne girls it was fun!!!! Thanks to all...wish it was longer to do more and spend more time with others...maybe next time:goodvibes

Ok I got home to a call from my credit card company...

Apparently someone went on a Disney Cruise and then to Disneyland afterwards... :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

(ok... so it WAS me...:goodvibes )
:rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl:

Anyone wake up this morning momentarily thinking they were in their stateroom?

Woody

Oh yeah... but the bed wasn't rolling like it was gently on the ship!!!

Just weighed in:scared1: ...... up 8 lbs! How bout the rest of you? Not too bad as I thought it would be more like 15!!!!!

Nothing... Nada... Don't know how that happened...

Jon and I are exactly the same. I think we will be less after the alcohol swelling goes away :rotfl2: No really, did you notice how everyone's faces look swollen towards the last day? There is a big difference in our formal pictures.

Chocolate... blame it on Chocolate!!!

We had a FANSTATIC time. Thank you to everyone who made it so wonderful and memorable! We had an even better time than we ever imagined. Both the cruise and the DIS friends far exceeded any expectations we ever had.

Oh... No, No, No... my dear.. THANK YOU!!!! So what are you wearing to dinner tonight????
Hi all and welcome back! Looks like you all had a great time. Not sure if you have this from anyone else, but I took the captured images from the PC webcams that someone was nice enough to save and converted them into video.

Hey Ian... if you look closely, you can see the two of us in the reflection of his sunglasses telling him it's ok...it won't bite!!!

This is a great pic! 3 very dashing gentlemen :goodvibes
Still waiting for all my pics to download.

I agree... something about the tuxes... Must get Bubba his own set of Disney ears for next time... although Mickey's seem to be taken a few times over...

:wave2: All -

I hope by now that everyone is coming home and doing ok - DH and I got sick on the very last day. Me not so much but it hit full force on Thursday morning. DH had to go to doctor n Wednesday where he was told that SoCal region has been hit really hard by some intestinal flu.

Anyway, just wanted to post a question - has anyone received anything from DCL? :rolleyes1 I was going to my mom's to get some TLC and there was a little present waiting for me. Just wandering if anyone else got one? :scratchin Or is this Disney's ploy to get me to come back on? :lmao: Wouldn't surprise me - those people are wicked! :rotfl:

Anyway, BUBBA! I forgot to give you my present on the last day. I burned it and all but forgot to give it to you! Then you go and post a picture and now the EB wants to know what I was doing in Rocking Bar D! If they only knew! :lmao:

Anyway, hope everyone is doing well, I'm laying around the house trying to get this rigor mortis body of mine in gear - have my DD to pick up in 1/2 hr and my eyes look like I've been drinking since last week. Guess no one will believe the story that I was sick and burst my eye blood vessels - or are they capillaries? WHOA! AOL just kicked me off. Better send this before I lose it.

John glad Manuel is doing better and glad you were able to get away and have fun. Holly it was so nice to meet you and Tyler (everytime I saw him he was a doll didn't get to see the other Tyler you mentioned) I'm so glad his dad is finally open to meds... hope it all works out:thumbsup2 I really enjoyed meeting so many of you the list would be too long. Kelly and Lisa, thanks for the tea and all of the other DIS gals that happen to be there for the added company. Thanks PJ for organizing the brunches ...yummy!!! Marilyn it was nice bumping into you and at DL too and I hope you made it back to DL after Memorial day when it was less crowded...we saw lots of schools there that Tues. seniors and younger too but in the evening they were gone.... on Mon. we opened and closed the park...We loved that Italian Winery restaurant at California Adventure I recommend it was nice and actually a value the kids meals only $6 at the park its about the same and nice to be able to have a nicer meal and a glass of wine at DL...I recommend it for others when they go back...you have to eat anyways.

Hope everyone gets home safely with all of there luggage of course:goodvibes And, Deborah(Scottishwee) really enjoyed meeting you and your family and I mentioned to my DH what happened and when he saw your DD(she is so cute by the way) he said the same thing happened to him at the same spot and the dentist fixed it and you can't even tell on him at all so she should be fine. Hope for safe travels everyone!!!!
