So today I picked up an Employment Application for the Disney Store!!! I talked to the manager and she was very nice and they have the perfect opening for me. I am going tomorrow to turn in the application and hopefully set up an interview. I do not go back to work till Sat.

Jill - sending you lots of pixie dust for the interview. I think that would be great for you. I'm sure you would really enjoy it.

June 17th is the offical start date for licenses to be issued here in CA. Party A and Party B has replaced Bride & Groom on the new forms. I can offer to put you both up at my place here in Burbank if you want to do a CA wedding!

I heard this on public radio this morning. I wish this had happened before the cruise. We would have definitely gotten married in CA (and a trip to DL) had this been the case.

Unfortunately our plans are set for Canada, plus we're already out $400 (nonrefundable) for some of the arrangements.

Sukie thinks we should get married in CA as well. He thinks we should collect a marriage license from every state that will marry us.

Still ... I'd like to have a very good excuse for going to DL!

Well, what else is new?

I am pages and pages behind, and today is the first day I looked at our thread. Two days at DL, and a day of travel Hell, and then back to work today, with a school board meeting tonight for an encore.

We are really missing all of our old friends that cruise with us, and all the new friends we made in two weeks on the Magic. I hope you all made it home safe and sound!

You were all truly a great group of people to get to know!

PS - my brother is completely off the ventilator and talking! Almost like a miracle!

Here is one of my favorite pics of the trip....This was our server Putu and assistant server Soren. The first night he told us they were like Mowgli and Baloo

And here they are again so you can see Soren...Putu is now standing on a chair!

We had so many great laughs at dinner with both Putu and Soren...and by the end of the cruise we actually were getting our coffee WITH our dessert instead of 30 minutes after dessert was served. I'll have to dig up the pics of Lisa's (liserann) special coffee that Soren would make for her.

I am just started to sort through the 1000's of pics I took, so I should be ready to start posting some in the next month or so

ugh - back to work. The girls did not want to get up at all this am. Nothing new there though.

I had rebooked the dummy date on the ship.

I spoke to our travel agent today. We are now confirmed on the September 12, 2009, 7-night cruise.

Anyone have any insights into a standard inside stateroom vs. a "sideways" stateroom?

We have never stayed in a sideways stateroom but have seen one. They do seem much roomier that the standard one. My cousin always books a sideways room and loves it. Looking forward to seeing you and Sukie again in 2009. It is always fun to see familier faces onboard. That is a very popular cruise date. We booked a cat. 12 the day it was released and got a fantastic price and an extra $50 onboard credit.

.....didn't allow enough time for catch up this morning...12 minutes behind schedule.....I get to spend all day in training today and tomorrow...just what I need when my work is way behind from vacation... PLUS, my overtime this week (and possibly the weekend) is only straight time, not time and a half due to Monday being a holiday....think I'll put off as much till next week as possible...got another cruise to save up for afterall!

That sounds like a great idea and remember you would not need to "buy" witnesses here in California. Their are tons of us who would jump at the chance to join in the celebration with you guys.

Has anyone heard from Deb & John? She posted Sunday night but nothing since.

Hi Lisa, we're still here in CA doing all the sights and running ourselves ragged....every night we get back and just crash.....we're exhausted!

We did DL and saw some disers.....Mike and Carol, V and family, PJ, Angie and Dennis, Deborah and family.....great fun to run into all of them!

We did Universal Studios.....we loved the backlot tour! We drove out to Rodondo Beach, Santa Monica Pier, Malibu and hugged the coast line. We did the tourist spots and saw the Hollywood sign, the view from Mulholland Drive, Grumans Chinese Theatre and the Kodak Theatre, the walk of fame, Rodeo Drive.

Today we're doing California Adventure and then coming back to pack up and hit the pool and hot tub. Tonight we're having dinner with Woody and Mrs Woody.....then tomorrow morning we head out to Las Vegas.

We ran out of time and never had the chance to get to San Diego or Santa Barbara. Oh well, next trip.
