ah ha, someone was reading....it was the name of a girl on a show "Boy meets Girl" and we thought it was totally funny, so it was our pretend name for Wilson before he was born. The real one was Victoria, yup, Queenly 'eh?

I like it! I like the simplicity. I like the quiet self confidence it exudes. It says "I know who I am and I know why I'm here."

Doesn't your company have a zero tolerance policy against retaliation? A manager can't and shouldn't get a way with that. If your HR department is worth anything, they should be able to deal with a manager like that. In my company, if one of our managers would retaliate against an employee like that, they would be gone in a heartbeat. What she is doing is called harassment. Ok, I'm done. I've been in HR too long I guess and things like this really get to me.

They claim they do put don't do anything. She doesn't want to be back there anymore but she can't work on the floor b/c she is so rude to guests. Our HR is new and is not a people person but I am going to try to talk to her. A group of us complained last year and nothing happened. I like my job but may see if I can switch positions for the summer to get away from her. Starting in May all but 2 people are quitting.

Starboard or port, doesn't make any difference. Unfortunately smoking is allowed on all verandahs.

According to Fr. Bill (our Catholic chaplain here at work) it came about because St Joseph prayed for a basilica (?? on the spelling and correct word, it has been awhile since Fr. Bill and I talked about this) and the funds for that came about. After he became a saint, folks started praying that he would intercede for them on real estate transactions and many felt they were successful in their endeavors and gave St Joseph credit. Now the pamphlet that came with my little St Joseph statue said we should make sure the house is in good repair, clear out any clutter, etc, etc.....DrHug laughed at me and said THAT is what will sell the house. However, hedging all my bets, St Joseph went into the flower bed in the yard, upside down, with a prayer.

My friend did this and she is closing on her old house on April 28. She's not Catholic, but any little bit helps.

lol...it was just a thought......now what was that other gas we had the pleasure of encountering during out training.....made you sick to your stomach.....CW gas???
