Well, I got the Hep A and tetanus shot yesterday. I don't think the kids need them though. I think they had them when they were getting the Hep B when they were little? I need to check their shot records.

You bet, the more the merrier, or should I say eviler. We'll have them quaking in their crocs. :rotfl:

I am in the same boat as Ken...I absolutely hate needles...our old family GP chased me around the office when i was a kid with those old needles....:scared1:

you know the ones meant for a horse:eek:

Just a minute to say good morning!

Wow - lots of rough stuff happening to people. Happy wishes sent to everybody that needs them.:wizard:

DD6 still wants her ears pierced after getting shots today. She said her ears will hurt more, but she wants to do it. Last time round, it was a nightmare. Lots of guilty feelings for me after she reacted to the cheap earrings - my gut said not to let her. Next time listen to my gut. Only the good stuff for her. She still reacts to the metal snaps on her jeans, so I have to paint them all with nailpolish. I've made an appointment for both girls for Sat, but still undecided about DD3. She's a rough and tumble girl and don't want her to end up infected or earrings ripped out.

For those out there that got their DD's ears pierced in the past, what did you use to keep them clean? :confused3 The disinfectant they sell at the earpiercing place really stings. I read that polysporin works just as well, so thinking about using it this time.

You don't want to ask me . . . I would say NO. Last week one of Sophia's ears got infected - after two hours of her trying to take the back off last Saturday, I pinned her to the floor, and when I tried to take the back off, the entire earring came through the back.

Nothing is worth that!

nan, no hooters there?

No Hooters Nan? Sounds like a personal problem . . .

I was thinking about getting my ears pierced, THANKS!!!!!! you've changed my mind. :worship: :worship:

She is fine . . . after several days of cleaning and the ear seeping . . . I told her NO EARING IN THAT EAR UNTIL YOUR MOM GETS HOME!

She is OK with that, and in fact would take the one out of the other ear now and wait until she is older, but she won't let me touch that one either! My opinion is that kids should not have earrings (pierced) until they are mature enough to do the "twisting" you have to do to establish the hole - rather than what happened with Sophia. She is a big scardy cat, and every little ouch frightens her, so she just does nothing.

I'm not in bed, I told ya I was posting payrolls, I have financials to present, you people just don't listen to the mundane details of my life, what is wrong with you.

hmmm, dinner tonight, McDonalds. Is that better????

Hi Marr:yay:
my ears perked up at the sound of financials!
Too bad we are 5 million off forecast right now and the office is in a frenzy.

Scuse me - NO SHARK pictures before dive days - K?
just remember, if you don't bother them, they won't bother you.

This is one of the reasons why I became a nurse. Every injection is a payback for that shot I got as kid. :lmao:

oh my, I feel about as great as I did on excursion booking night.

SOMEONE please remind to go to bed at night!

That darn game, OT and then Memphis lost!

so we have 25 pages to knock out before the next thread?

What was PJ's prediction before the cruise?

ok, that so isn't right!

I had to see for myself and sure enough, now they changed the fish. Well at least the August Repo'ers will have something new.

me either. Don't really even like to hold babies. ohhh that sounded like cindy, maybe she and rob are the same too???

you don't like to hold babies? are you on meds?
That's exactly how I am. I had never even held a newborn until Tyler. Never liked babies....still don't. Fortunately, Mother Nature took over while Tyler was a baby and got me through that stage. ;)

The worse ones I ever had were the ones given in the military....they almost threw them at you....and don't even go there about the atropine (sp) self-injectors....:sad2:

Can you imagine how much help I was to Nancy when she had to give herself insulin shots when she was pregnant:rolleyes1

hate to hold babies, never have liked to. I think I babysat my nephews too much as a teenager. I worked full time (at home) and had a nanny when the kids were babies so I didn't have to do that stuff. breastfeeding was my only thing. now they are great, loved them from about 2 years old and on, actually earlier, when they can talk I like them.
EXACTLY!!!!!
