Marilyn,
I just realized that you live close to where my FIL was born and grew up
Bishopton...County Durham
Small world
Not that far away at all, but I have never been. Lovely county though.

Wow - lots of rough stuff happening to people. Happy wishes sent to everybody that needs them.![]()
DD6 still wants her ears pierced after getting shots today. She said her ears will hurt more, but she wants to do it. Last time round, it was a nightmare. Lots of guilty feelings for me after she reacted to the cheap earrings - my gut said not to let her. Next time listen to my gut. Only the good stuff for her. She still reacts to the metal snaps on her jeans, so I have to paint them all with nailpolish. I've made an appointment for both girls for Sat, but still undecided about DD3. She's a rough and tumble girl and don't want her to end up infected or earrings ripped out.
For those out there that got their DD's ears pierced in the past, what did you use to keep them clean? The disinfectant they sell at the earpiercing place really stings. I read that polysporin works just as well, so thinking about using it this time.
nan, no hooters there?
No Hooters Nan? Sounds like a personal problem . . .
You don't want to ask me . . . I would say NO. Last week one of Sophia's ears got infected - after two hours of her trying to take the back off last Saturday, I pinned her to the floor, and when I tried to take the back off, the entire earring came through the back.
Nothing is worth that!

I am in the same boat as Ken...I absolutely hate needles...our old family GP chased me around the office when i was a kid with those old needles....![]()
you know the ones meant for a horse![]()
me either. Don't really even like to hold babies. ohhh that sounded like cindy, maybe she and rob are the same too???
That's exactly how I am. I had never even held a newborn until Tyler. Never liked babies....still don't. Fortunately, Mother Nature took over while Tyler was a baby and got me through that stage.you don't like to hold babies? are you on meds?
This is one of the reasons why I became a nurse. Every injection is a payback for that shot I got as kid.![]()
EXACTLY!!!!!hate to hold babies, never have liked to. I think I babysat my nephews too much as a teenager. I worked full time (at home) and had a nanny when the kids were babies so I didn't have to do that stuff. breastfeeding was my only thing. now they are great, loved them from about 2 years old and on, actually earlier, when they can talk I like them.
