Hi Ian
These are great!!! My husband doesn't feel comfortable wearing a shirt with Tink on it (!!), so I was wondering if you could do another version with Mickey Mouse on it instead?

If you can't, no trouble, just thought I would ask...

Thanks again for sharing these with us!
Leanne:thumbsup2

Let me see what I can whip up. It won't be until much later today or this evening Chicago time.

I just got back from leading my Sunday WW meetings, and it's in the 60's here and sunny. I'm heading out to take advantage of this glorious day!

.

like a science fair, not always science topics they have Exhibition Events (night for parents and next school day for peers in the other grades) that are work study projects the whole school does them, specific to each grade twice a year. It is an 8th grade district or California requirement of some sort, and our founding teachers/principal loved the idea and created it in a K-6th environment. One of the special things about being in a charter school. I think Wilson's project is the concept of the scientific method, so we can make that work without plants, I'll check into it soon and start to figure it out.

By "scientific method" do you mean Question, Hypothesis, Procedure, Results, Conclusion (or similar steps)? If so, I've had a lot of experience doing that with kids. I've helped my nephew with a couple of his projects. It seems like you/we could come up with ideas that would pertain to the cruise experience and not have to involve plants or stuff like that.

I hope Molly will have a rough draft before we leave, but not sure. Her project is also like Wilson's but different school (just a good teacher in her case) they are doing all the research during school hours within class room time and supervision I'll try to have her do as much as possible at home before we leave as it's due while we are gone, so she will have to walk back in the door with it done. SHe is good at rough drafting, but needs help in making it presentable in a final version, so yes that's what will be most helpful for her and me:thumbsup2

Does Molly have to write her final draft or type it?

Jake: "How often do the trains go by?"
Elwood: "So often you hardly even notice them".

Ian - my DH says, guess what your new nicknames are? :rotfl:

(He's only jealous that someone lives closer to trains than we do - we're 600 feet from our railway viaduct!)

:rotfl2:

You remember the scene in the Blues Brothers where the El is going by, well, I have a funny story about that.

We had just bought the house, and we used to live on the second floor. You saw the El from our back kitchen windows. There's a big tree in the back, so the windows were blocked from the neighbors, but you could seen the El out the back window, and the windows in the back porch.

One Sunday morning, I get up, wander into the kitchen (butt naked) to make coffee. I'm standing with my back to windows, filling up the coffee maker, etc.

I suddenly have the eerie feeling of being watched. I turn around, and the El is stopped outside my windows. They're doing work on the tracks!

I guess the folks in that car got a show to go al ong with their El ride!

and the monkeys, do you remember seeing them. they are always in my bad hospital dream.
No Monkeys or spiders, thank goodness. One of the male nurses did look like a Gorilla though. He was supposed to Cath me, but I said No Way! :rotfl2: :rotfl2: He was about 6'8' tall and had big hairy arms.:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: I was afraid he might break something.....:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :confused3

Cool Design. I do like the pun. And the car. I can hardly wait to get ourd. I hope they have a good orphan available in red. I like the yellow too. Ah, what the heck; color doesn't matter. I wish they had Mickey Ears as an option.

Hey if you get a red one, we can swap some panels with each other. Red and yellow, then add Mickey ears!

PS - Orphans do turn up. I was on the secondary list for only 2 days! Fortunate for me that the orphan was almost identical to the car I reserved.

.

CRUISE BUSINESS:

I wanted to re-post this in case folks didn't read last nights pages:

IAN, is this your finalized version....can we go ahead and order?

I can't decide about color...lime green is the 'team' color, but I think I'll look at all the options. :thumbsup2

V, loved the pictures you posted in the wee hours of the morning.

Still have a block of pages I haven't look at yet.

It's the finalized version with Tinkerbell. I'm going to see about doing one with Mickey. However, any design I do will be as simple. An old map with a single simple character (always have to be tasteful).

I'm not sure how it will print on the lime green, as the color might show through the graphics.

I won't be starting on anything in addition to what's there until much later today.

(ok - last post for this afternoon, heading out to enjoy the day!)
