I am watching TORCHWOOD. Does anybody like that show? I love it! Also the new Dr. Who.

Hmmmmmmm....would I take a mid-ship Cat 3 for FOUR people for an Eastern this fall?????

I wonder who they would approach about a change? Of course, it would depend on what catagory(s) they were trying to free up. Do you think they would approach a solo or couple first, or a family? Hmmmmmmm, wonder how they do it?

.

I have always been like this. As a kid I would lock myself in the car when I had to go the dr. When I had to have shots before college it took 3 people to hold me down. I have only been in the hospital once and that was when I had my dd. No broken bones or any illnesses so I don't know why I hate it so bad. In fact I had my first dose of antibotics a couple of years ago. Found out I was allergic to it! My dr. could not believe that at 50+ I had never had any. We went through all my records and talked to my mom and nope I never had an illness that had required it. I hate dentists too! I go twice a year and I have not had to have any work on my teeth since I was 16 and had my braces taken off. Needless to say I don't visit people in hospitals either. Don't know what would happen if I really got sick!

Well, considering that I'm just like you and the fact that I had my first hospital stay this past August......after surgery I spent the next two days puking my guts up......everything in my head is just one big blurr. I remember that I felt like I was going to die or wanted to for some relief. It was a nightmare.

I don't know what you would do if your child had a chronic illness, either. You know I feel that everyone can eventually handle what they have to........and you are fine the way you are! Everyone is different and I think differences are GREAT!!!

I don't either. I admire those that can handle these situations. When my dd was little she was in the emergency room so much they questioned her for abuse. I did fine when the incidents would happen but when I got home it would take me a couple of days of puking before I got back to normal. I couldn't look at her stitches without getting sick. I must of had a tramatic past life.

I just watched the trailers for Speed Racer . . .

Lots of special effects, but what killed me was some of the music, and even the sound effects of the Mach 5 when it "jumps" with the springs underneath are dead on from the cartoon.

John Goodman looks great as Pops too . . .

I guess this is nostalgia day for me.

Let's just say that I don't do tubes, blood, or pain!

FYI for everyone,

My parents just spent 2 weeks in CABO and said the dolphin experience there is wonderful, there are incredible beaches and it almost never rains. If anyone has any questions I can ask them, ask away. They have a timeshare there.

They were so funny, they called to see if they could make me lunch reservations somewhere. They are too cute!

Hi Everyone.....

Good and bad news.....

Good news: I think my eyes are going to be just fine. I could see today:cool1: with very little problems (I would say about 90% better)

Bad news: Due to my vision problems, I haven't been on the computer much and am now 50+ pages behind....I am sure I have missed a ton. I will try and skim some to catch up, but with the speed of new pages, that is unlikely.

Hope everyone is doing well.

Someone asked about Frank today. Tomorrow he will have been out of the hospital for 1 week....I think that will be a record.

He is feeling a little better. The last hospital stay they changed all of his medication and I think this may be working better than any of the others. For you nurses, they have him on vacomicine (sp?) They say this is the last resort drug. I sure hope it works. He did go out to Starbucks with me and DH this morning....but he has slept most of the rest of the day. He is watching Game Show network all the time and he yells at the TV when the contestant makes a bad choice. DH and I laugh out loud. He is yelling at Lets Make A Deal and The Newlywed Game. :lmao: :rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl2:

Here he is just a few minutes ago with Goldie.

I am having a terrible day. I am so happy that I will be getting on one of the best cruiseships in the world for one of the best adventures of a lifetime in about a month to get away from it all.

What's the name of the timeshare in Cabos?

We saw that yesterday....looks good. I had no idea what Speed Racer was but Scott said it brought back memories.

Hey PJ and Ken . . .

The current #1 TV show on iTunes is "South Park - Canada on Strike" :rotfl2:

I don't do well in these types of incidents. I have had to leave my child in the emergency room getting stitches in her head because I was going to pass out. Thank goodness my Mom was there at the time and stayed with my little girl. I just can't handle seeing my girls in pain and screaming.

So sorry about your day. Hopefully tomorrow will be better!

Coming back on board the boards . .

Ok I have been MIA the last month or so (not really sure anyone noticed) but I am trying to get back in to the swing of things. I do not even want to try to catch up I am just going to jump in. Since my last visit . . .

Three of us have had strep throat

my hubby came home from Iraq for a visit

we found out he will be going back to Iraq after the cruise

we have continued working on our kitchen remodel

we have signed the contract to put in a swimming pool on the side of our hill :) which means retaining walls and such, and a well

Planned a trip to DC the first week in July

My daughter fell and broke her arm on Thursday and will have it casted on Monday

Found out Delta changed our flight so now we are getting in to Orlando 3 hours later and having to change planes (good thing it is not on the day of the cruise)

Found out Delta is restricting luggage to one checked piece per person unless you pay as of May 1 - no execptions but at least American is not so we can ship items to Orlando with a suitcase and check them coming back

Found out a friend has 4-6 months to live with cancer

And I still need to:

Make my ballroom skirt
Make our fish extender
make packing lists
order matching t-shirts
do my taxes
get down suit cases
decide on what we are wearing on the cruise
and lots more . . . . .

But this is a quick update - I know others have had some major things going on and I am keeping you in my prayers - I know others have bigger problems than me - I am blessed even with my bumps in the road . . .

Made chicken enchiladas for Venetia for dinner. Just about time to grub. Rice and beans too. Maybe some tequila later too!!!
And boy, were they GOOD. I'm now stuffed. And this is the first I've heard of tequila later.:cool1: :cool1:

so is anyone bidding on a men's purple tropical shirt?
Not me.
Christina Ricci.

This is the first night in WEEKS that I am caught up, and can post. Almost like old times.
We are glad to have you back John, and I can't believe that is Christina Ricci.

When does it come out? It should be good.

I just saw the ad on tv and I think it said May 9th
