I think we will have a very large group at the Grand Californian after the cruise, the race for check-in begins as soon as the gang plank is opened, lol.

Pj

The question is, who is going to have brunch/lunch with Cheri and I before we drive home Sunday afternoon????? :confused3

Congratulations to Peg and DH!

Woody

AND it is TEN years (lordy, where does the time go?)!

Jackie- the vacation is almost here:goodvibes hang in there...hope you feel better soon....btw never had allergies in my life...I do now...bad allergy season here.

Well, it was beautiful weather today so went to coffee with a friend this am and sat in the outside patio of the coffee shop...she wants her family to take a cruise with my family next year so we are talking about it. Then volunteered in the pm in DS class and we just got done watching Alvin and the Chipmunks....my DS loved it:goodvibes he thought it was so funny he laughed almost the whole time. DD and I already saw it at the movies but enjoyed watching it again. Just wanted to check in before I head into the other room to watch yet another movie....we love movies can't you tell.

It's funny cause he keeps saying who wants to give up their craving foods and be healthy and lose weight....but I keep thinking....I crave all foods...it's more moderation and better choices...I am going to keep watching to see if he answers that problem

question- on other cruises they have game rooms(not video games...board games) does DCL have one:confused3 Our last cruise with DCL was short because we didn't know how the kids would do and they loved it but since it was short we saw almost nothing of the ship it was always port days and busy. My DK love boardgames they could play monopoly for hours every day of the cruise if we let them. We are bringing a couple travel games...checkers and tic tac toe...from the dollar section at target...for the plane ride and the cruise but would like a variety available...anyone know?

Just flipped to price is right at a commercial...this guy is special! He's gonna suck at plinko...only has 2 disks

For any of you that have them to spare, my brother could use some prayers his way . . .

He found out that he has a mass in his colon, and on Sunday he will have surgery to have part of his colon removed. While pathology results are not yet back, I think they are pretty sure it is cancer. The only question is whether or not it is localized or has spread, and whether or not it is treatable beyond the surgery. My brother is 5 years younger than me - only 42.

Tomorrow I'll be taking my dad to the hospital to see him - we have not told dad yet all that is going on.

Amy and I talked tonight, and we have had family illness and hardship follow us on our last cruises. My mom passed away the week of our last cruise with the Geeks, right before we left. We had a funeral and left the same day. Now my brother's illness, and I can only pray that they have caught it in time.

Thanks for letting me share. It has not been very happy around here lately, and my thoughts are with all the rest of you who have had family and friends illness and worse to deal with . . .

I watched the initial pilot but as I am a fan of the OS (have that series on DVD), I couldn't get into it. It just kept feeling wrong.

I always thought it would have been nice to pick up where the OS left off and go from there. I think it would have garnered even more fans.

Ken, I was a big fan of the original, but it looks so campy now . . . a Geek friend from the last cruise, Carla, got me hooked on the new one. I am just enthralled by the show and the themes. With everything on my mind tonight, I forgot to watch it - I have the DVR set to tape the later repeat.

John,
I'm trying to skim through the last thread and just read about your accident! I hope everything is OK!:flower3:

Thanks Cheri, we are fine. They found the car but not the driver. The lady who owns the car that hit us said no one should have been driving it - right. Still don't know if she has insurance . . .

I have not watched the new BG....but does anyone remember the original? I was a huge fan of that show when I was growing up...it was my special night where I could watch TV and stay up late!:goodvibes :happytv: That show had some pretty good looking men in it...

Nope - don't watch shows for the men . . . I do like the new Starbuck better!

Speaking of the return of the original thread (I think it was that long ago...), remember the discussion about the Batter Blaster? Well, my husband just walked in the door from Costco carrying BATTER BLASTER! Guess what we'll be trying for breakfast tomorrow???

Guess what? We now sell this at our stores. I will have to try it!

I drove Sophia halfway to Toledo tonight (her Aunt met me) so she can visit her for Little Sibs weekend there. So, I am by myself again until Alex comes home for break tomorrow.

Good night everyone!

During the day time, I am fairly sure they can go to Diversions, they have backgammon, checkers, chess, maybe others.
