We do an early dinner...always have with children. The reason we like the early one is we have a toddler so a long dinner time is just not possible. We are usually one of the first done. We still enjoy every quick minute of it! I also like to go to the shows after dinner...I too was surprised so many are on late dining, but makes sense for the reasons why people have chosen it.

I'm going to try to relax a bit on making the kids eat with us every night this time. That is what the club is for, after all....

I thought we had "early" or "main" seating, but it looks like we are "late". I have no idea why, since we eat early at home! Oh, well, our whole schedule is messed up when we are on the cruise,it seems like we eat all day!

HEY! Is everyone wearing Pirate Garb for Pirate night? I still can't decide what to wear for Mexican night....Is full, flowery skirts the way to go? Peasant blouses? Hibiscus in the hairdo?
Whatever I bring for the special nights will have to be worn other times, too!

I need fashion help!

You may be surprised. Small cars do very well in the snow. The old VW bugs were incredible in the the snow, according to friends who had them. I had a Suzuki Samurai the outran any big SUV in the snow. On Black Ice the Samurai was amazing. I could actually use the brakes, gingerly. Never had a chain or snow tire on it either. AND the Smart would be a lot easier to move out of a snowbank. LOL.

I've only seen photos of the Smart and of course one was in the movie "The DaVinci Code." I'm also a little concerned about trunk space.

On the other hand, my 1998 Subaru Forester only has 41,000 miles on it. It doesn't move. I rarely use it during the week because I take public transportation to work. I use the car on the weekend for errands and rarely drive very far. Maybe once in a while I'll go as far as 50 miles. A small, economical car would be ideal for me.

I am just skeptical especially about rear wheel drive.

OH! now I remember why we are in late Dining, My DH and DS wanted to eat with more grown ups (not that THEY act like grownups!

I drove a Smart car in England last summer, it was the cheapest car to rent! And it drove like a dream, it certainly kept up with all the Range Rovers on the Motorway, and I could get by the bigger cars in the wilds of Devon, where all the roads are only one lane wide!

During our Mexican 05 cruise, they had one or two shows during the day. I remember this because my sister went to them with her kids, and then didn't go with us in the evening. Guess that was just special, maybe because it was in CA.

One thing I'm going to try not to do with this trip is stress out about trying to do EVERYTHING. I'm a total over planner about Disney and I want to enjoy it all, but there is too much to do it all. Use this as a taster cruise. Get what you can and what you miss try again the next time. All is good

I'm starting to figure that out. I was actually worried about there not being enough to do until I found this thread!

I absolutely agree! We always say we want to do this and this and this . .. and we end up napping almost every day, lazing around, going to the Rainforest Room . . . basically the most relaxing time. That's the coolest thing about a cruise - you can be as busy or as lazy as you want. This time we will try to do a couple of things we didn't do last time - but if we don't, who cares!

Mine never ate there, but I think they take them up to Plutos around dinner/lunch time. I figure it's the same chicken nuggets in the club as it would be at our table. I'm not sure that Wilson ate much of anything but the nuggets.

Now Molly has gotten to like salads, but she is still a kid and a few nights with us out of 15 will be plenty.

Are you going to Disneyland both Saturday and Sunday? I might be able to meet Sunday around noon.

I've got a sick kid, so I probably can't sneak away, unless DH has no plans then maybe I can sneak out. Anyone going to DL this weekend, Pm you cell and I'll try to sneak out for a couple of hours.

I hope your DD feels better.

It looks like I can also go early on Sunday, and hopefully beat the crowds.

We make my dgs eat dinner with us as this is our time to talk about our day and plans for the next day. We do let him eat with the club a couple of times at lunch. This way we make sure that he is eating something besides junk.

My 2 year old...we will check him into the nursery for a couple of the dinners. It is a bit more relaxing without him at dinner, at least it was last January 07. We will play it by ear...I am looking forward to our Palo Dinner on the 15th! Lisa

I figure they can eat the chicken nuggets with us or without us. Mine won't just eat desserts so I'm safe in that(I might just eat desserts ).

Lisa, mine didn't love them either, but this time Molly will have friends walking on board, thanks to Steph & Taylor & Marr & Jacinda. Wilson will be happy with computers and stuff. I've decided to let them check in and out TOGETHER. That will be the hard part I'm sure, because I bet the girls will want to go somewhere and Wilson won't and he will get to call her shots. I'll have to come up with some coupons that they can use between each other to avoid that fight.

We are all stuck together! I can't afford 2 cabins and at first dh wasn't going.
