The Disney stores in the parks usually have plenty of ponchos for purchase. Ask me how i know this.Do we need to purchase before trip on Sept 17 to Sept 24. This trip is for 4 adults and 3 kids. Was wondering so I can buy them in time from Amazon.

we were at Universal once and it started pouring. one of the employees gave my wife and I trash bags to use as ponchos and said don't tell anyone!!You'll probably see people wearing large trash bags -- they cut a hole in the bottom of the bag for the head, and smaller holes for the arms. Desperate times call for desperate measures.
Warm in September is very polite, at least to some of us. Hotter than the surface of the sun is how it felt to us! I could not bring myself to wear anything plastic and depended on an umbrella during the day. Amazon is a great source of disposable ponchos and we took the advice found in an older thread to always get ponchos that have arms with elastics around the wrists. I bought a good supply of these and take up to 3 per person each day. They are also great for those rides that caution “You may get wet.” If there is no way to air-dry them a bit, they are cheap enough to ditch them and pull out a new one when the need arises. Or, be kind and pass them off carefully to others who are heading into a watery attraction. Leftovers stay in the suitcase for the next trip, or go into the car for emergency use, into a backpack. They weigh next to nothing and take up almost no space.I would just bring the ponchos from Dollarama and umbrellas. So many times we’ve brought our ponchos but never even needed them. It rained, but not for long or we stayed inside until the heavy rain passed. It will still be very warm in September and raincoats will just take up luggage space.
